  • a little bit but it depends on your system and what setting you use to record you should just try it since its free...also it shows you when you are recording with a red circle in the corner bandicam

I use Fraps but the frame rate drop is crazy some times. There are a couple of things that you can do i.e. record to a different hard drive! or record in half size. I record to a separate hard drive and my frame drop has gotten a lot better!

msi afterburner....bandicam is only good for taking pictures and can only record for a lousy ten minutes vs msi afterburner you can record for hours and hours and its free

does it drop your frames at all.... cause i have a msi gtx 660 ti and i saw that, but i have no idea how to set it up

This maybe just my system,   but i am running a vanilla GTX 660 so you got me beat already.

I find it runs fine with compatibility like 90%.  But it is so strange with some games that slow down really badly and you just think... why.....

I can get a stable 31-44fps for GTA IV - and it is a crappy console port.

And with Starcraft 2 - it tanks when recording.   i dont get above 16fps.

Now it could be just my drivers and system setup.   I no longer have a dedicated sound car on my current rig,  so i wonder how much CPU processing is taken by that.  My 5 year old rig actually runs some things better or more stable so i am dumbfounded.  But not a lot,  just a few odd ones here and there.

So you are probably okay using it.   Afterburner has a few layers of menus.  Definately look at some guides to configure it.   Good luck!

Dxtory is amazing. Although anytime I record GTA and GTA only I get terrible frame rates on the video. Perfect in game but the video playback is awful.

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.
