Everyone so worried about the police skins. I like the new design, It makes the game unique and different and fits with the story theme IMO. If you guys forgot, San Andreas cars didn't have LA, SF or LV liveries neither. The cars look amazing. I like the new upgrade they did to the cars from the first trailer and screenshots to this cars. I saw somewhere in there where the cop is chasing franklin down the alley a lit up PD car with grill lights, mirror lights and a lightbar. Also the police peds seem to bring different uniform variations like Spitfire's realistic LAPD uniforms. Short sleeve, long sleves. Rockstar did great IMO. It kind of reminds me of Saints Row The Third police cars for some weird reason (if anyone played that game).

 

Did anyone else noticed the return of grove street gang & ballas gang. Throughout the Franklin trailer there are people wearing green and purple colors. Even the dog was wearing a green bandana around its neck at 1:44. I hope the Grove is implemented in this game and improved. I definitely cant wait for the release now. Its worth the wait.

Just fyi, there were different liveries across the cities in San Andreas, and I'm pretty sure LVPD had different cars. 

 

Looks like there'll definitely be Buffalos in the game in civilian versions but the new police cars don't look like Buffalos, they look more like the police cars in saints row 3 actually.

the SR3 police car know as the Peacemaker is based of a doge charger.  and the Buffalo (gta) is also based of the charger and was a CIVIL car in TBOGT. and use the LV police car is slightly different to the SA and LS it is less "round"

He just mean, that the skins weren't copies of the LVMPD, SFPD and LAPD, but R* own version.

I noticed that as well; IV's Vapid is a 1992/1993 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor while the cab in V is based off of the 1998-2011 Crown Victoria.  It was used as a police car in the earlier GTA V trailer too, and I hope it is still being used as one alongside the new ones introduced;

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the new/more lights on the police cars. I still have a feeling it isn't going to quite be what we are all expecting though. There's still 4-5 months until the release (for now), so anything can happen.

Anyways Rockstar did a great job on their LED cars, I think I saw 3 different patterns! They look like ELS, without bugs!

I also do like the LAPD styled liveries better than these new ones. Hopefully they end up changing them again?

Besides customization which will be a major boost, GTA has finally made guns more realistic by having the slide actually cycle a round instead of remaining static. This can be seen in Franklin's trailer.

Yeah I saw this discussed elsewhere, it's really cool to see. I think it was actually in Max Payne 3 but it's great to see so much model and animation detail moved across to GTA.

 

For anyone wondering; you can see the slide (top half of the handguns) move back and forth when the round is fired, and you can see shell ejections/ports opening and closing on the shotguns. On top of all that too, the wepon models seem much more detailed and the sounds are way better. I really liked the gunplay for Max Payne 3 that featured all of the above as well as realistic feelings when people were shot (moreso before all the enemies started wearing armour) and I hoped it'd be put into GTA. I actually edited all weapon sounds in IV and replaced them with MP3 sounds. 

 

I very much doubt there'll be much of an ability to customise lighting patterns in the game though, I don't think it's really a priority feature in the grand scheme of things.

I kinda hope the graphics stay the same as GTA IV so my broke ass doensn't have to get a newer gaming PC lol

Oh Jesus, they went and had to add Waylon. Now it's a MUST BUY!!!!

Looks like GSF are back, along with the Ballas.

 

Even though V is in a different universe, it'd be nice if CJ and Sweet were mentioned as the guys who got the families put back on the map.

 

 

I couldn't find any pictures of the Ballas, but during Franklin's part of the trailer you can see guys with purple bandanna's and stuff

About ingame stuff etc... Rockstar showed the game to some magazines (papers and websites), the embargo will be lifted the 2nd May (today in my timezone).

This information was actually confirmed some days ago by a lot of magazines. So stay tuned.

I'm fairly certain the light patterns won't be customizable or anything. If there are different patterns, which it looks like there are, they will cycle automatically like NFS: Hot Pursuit.

I like it when the car hit the train at the end ... that was pretty sweet...
