What do you think about a children-mod for GTA4 ??? I know it would be very crazy but realistic.

So there are so crazy mod's for GTA but i have never seen a children-mod :D

The reason they've never added children, is because nobody considers it ethical to have a game where you can go around shooting children. And I think many modders would have a problem with that too.

Yeah, I too would not like to have children in my game.

Just look at Newtown or any other child killing and you will know why kids aren't in a game designed around killing people

not to laugh..but that's funny. I couldn't picture a kid saying cheesy vaginas or let alone me flying down the road, head on collision with a bike and the kid goes flying...may be comical game wise..but horrible ratings for Rockstar. There is no wrong question,but always a sensible answer.

A mod to add children to the game might get Rockstar to try clamping down on modding again. Officially, they currently turn a blind eye to our blatant violation of license terms (in the countries where this is applicable, like the USA), infringement of their copyright (every model using any components of the game violates Rockstar copyright), etc. Children in GTA would horrify people, and most people don't know that Rockstar isn't in charge of mods. The PR fallout could be huge.

Are you nuts? A game allowing people to shoot children could get the game banned. That would be 10x worse than the 'hot coffee mod.' Personally, I would not enjoy if someone would make the mod either. Sure, it adds realism, but it's taking it exceedingly too far. 

Thx for the answers ^^ I don't want children in the game too. But i found a video on Youtube with the Chucky-Mod. I know Chucky is not a child but it looks like a child. ^^

There would be SO much controversy over the mod, by the time Rockstar is done  with you, you won't even be able to sit down.

 

There are people who find flying planes into the GTAIV World Trade Center funny, so mods like that, definetely would not be very good/smart

i would say keep children out of the game..it's not the type of game that children should be in

Games children should be in are: Wii Sports, Animal town?(That wii game)

Games Children should NOT be in:GTA IV, ROCKSTAR GAMES IN GENERAL

 

GTA and similar games have had lots of criticism over encouraging violence, 

Although I never saw anyone driving a Ferrari on fire down times square at 200 mph while shooting at out the window at fat policemen when I went to New York,

People still think video games encourage violence.

Any real person who plays videos games with violence and has a decent level of intelligence would know that driving down airport runways in a clapped out emperor is condemned in many countries and states (Apart from Philidelphia See Video)

Anyways, My point is that children are excluded for games for a reason and if someone made this mod peoples argument against video games would get stronger and could result in games like GTA being restricted violence wise.

the reason the didn't do that was because they don't want to be any more offensive then they are right now so they probably didn't do that because they don't want to see people walking a round driving like maniacs and then wack there yah go you just hit a kid lol or schools if you where waiting then all of a sudden you get out with a rocket launcher you kill all the kids you become crazy. this is for the crazy people who will turn wack if they think about it. this is there way of saying we went too far. so they stop then done.

Terrible idea for all of the reasons that people have listed above. You couldn't come up with one good idea that would make it alright to put children in a game that is centered around breaking the law in every conceivable way

If and only if the kids are in kind of "god mod", can't be shooted or any other damage, that would be a plus for realism, some games have it, like Skyrim.

I'm not a monster or something else, but a big living city without children and animals is a bit strange for me. But as it was said, GTA is not that realistic and is too much violent, so it doesn't really matter...

But anyway it's not to the modders to put kids on that game, they'll go in jail in a minute if they do this.

 

I try to imagine that due to high criminality, they are on a big island with only children and wonderful blue and pink butterflies everywhere around the school, and when they are 21yr they can live in LC.

Children could appear in cutscenes, I guess. However, anything more and you either have god mode (which would feel really weird ingame) or killing children (not gonna happen).

Yeah it would feel weird anyway, so that's not possible for a game like GTA.

But in cutscenes, why not.

 

In GTA V one of the protagonist has a kid, 16yr I think, and he his is on mission with us, we can see it in a trailer, don't know what Rockstar is doing about that.

Maybe I'm wrong, I don't remember well, I'm not that interested about GTA V for the moment.

A 16 y/o is a teenager, which shouldn't look much different to an adult. If I remember correctly there's also teenagers in GTA IV, like this one mission, where you have to kill a biker from the lost, because he's dating a petrovic's daughter.

Jason ? Yes he looks like an adult. The one in GTA V trailer looks younger by the way, but yeah it's a teenager not a kid.

Anyway I don't think that R* will put children, it's too risky and a lot of people will be shocked, even if there is a god mod for kids.

I don't know how they'll manage dogs if they are really included in GTA V as seen everywhere. PETA and a lot of other associations will be mad.

Not Jason, but the daughter. As far as I remember she's a late teen too. The problem really isn't with teens, it's with proper Kids, like 12 and below.

Ha, the daughter, I don't remember. Yeah I understand for the proper kids as you say.

One thing is that in movies we see kids murdered or injuried, that's shocking but they do it.

Video games editors don't take the risk to do that as well. Is that because video games are not seen as an "art" like cinema ?

Or because the spectator is also the actor ?

I don't say that we have to see kids in violent video games, but it's more like a "debate" about the consideration of the video games.

But I can't express myself well enough in english to begin a "debate" like that, and it's pretty off-topic ^^

EDIT : it reminds me of the first Max Payne game, with the dead baby at the beginning.
