Hi, it says F12 to call an officer to join in on the pursuit. When I tried it, no officers helped.

I think F12 is not available when in a pursuit. Try ALT-B or one of the F numbers (F9- F11). But i use ALT-B and it always works for pursuits:)

 

Or if you're in a pursuit and they drive past another police car... THose officers should join in:)

F10 is Heli support, F11 is NOOSE backup, and F12 is normal backup during pursuits. ALT-B will just call in normal cops to your location and they won't be very good for pursuits since they leave their car..

F12 does not work for me. How do I fix it? Neither does F10, F11.

No. Can I enable it without re-installing? Do I just set Hardcore to True in the LCPDFR file?

Never mind. I found out how to change to hardcore. I'll reply back if it works or does not work.

I think he meant that if you had Hardcore mode "maybe" the backup button has been disabled (but I don't think). So not to install it.

VdH police helper will not cause LCPDFR to stop working correctly might be something else. Reinstall LCPDFR

Do I just delete the LCPDFR ini file and the LCPDFR folder?

By the way, I noticed bold white writing drop down saying something like "error in LCPDFR.pull over!" when the car speeds away and a red arrow goes above the car.

Make an attempt at re-installing LCPDFR. 

 

Navigate to your C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVscripts folder and delete the folder LCPDFR and the files FirstResponse.ini and FirstResponse.net.dll.

 

then re-download LCPDFR from the downloads database and repeat through the installation process. 

ALT + N also calls NOOSE.

Done re-installing. I'll play it today and see if I can call backup in vehicle pursuit.

By the way, I have LCPDFR RC2 R2

It says this in LCPDFR RC2 R2:

"Pursuits

Reworked pursuit AI, adding a system whereby units which are closer to the suspect will use more aggressive techniques, and units which are further away will drive more carefully, but quicker, in order to catch up.

Air support units will now use less aggressive flying AI when simply following a normal suspect. If deadly force is authorized, the helicopter unit will use more aggressive AI, allowing it to get closer to the suspect so the marksmen can open fire.

Helicopter pilots will no longer bail out of the aircraft after the player arrests the pursuit suspect, instead they will return to the helipad at Francis International Airport Police Station."

 

Does this mean that I cannot call backup in pursuit? Do I have to go back to 0.91?
