Don't do it.... My guess that isnt for the OPP song, but probaly for the Ontario Provincial Police if you ever get hired and see that they will just think your !@#$ing weird. When police departments hire someone they don't want them to be a cop nut....

Don't most places require proof? For example, if you want an LAPD tattoo, you need documents or a badge to prove that you're really with them, or if you were with them. Same with military organizations. But I'm not positive.

If you do decide to get it, it needs to be one a place that is hidden.

In Britain, you cannot have any visible / offensive tattoo's when joining the police. I know a guy who's got some damn cool tattoo's on his back / legs but has none on his arms due to the fact that the uniform requires short sleeve shirts

I'm not sure if this is the same in Canada / America however.

Once it's in your skin, it's there forever. Up to you. I wouldn't.

Tattoo's can be removed via a laser. It's extremely painful and expensive.

Plus it leaves a scar.

Yeah i wouldn't do it. It will be on your skin forever and everyone will thing you're crazy and have escaped from a mental asylum. The other reason you shouldn't do it is if you become a cop and have to go undercover in a gang or something and then they see your tattoo... They will prob kill you.

But it's up to you.. It's your body and your life.

Harper: Like literally everything with US police, it depends on the department. Some don't let you have visible tattoos, but one of my driver's ed instructors was a US Park Police motor officer who had full sleeves (she said it was actually useful when she was working a bike rally detail - the bikers were more likely to accept her).

Fun fact: The reason the New Jersey State Police don't have a short sleeved uniform is that many of the first troopers were former soldiers and had tattoos, and Col. Schwarzkopf didn't want the tattoos to show.

my bro's is a trooper with Msp and he has the eagle globe and anchor on his forearm. tho I recomend getting somewhere hidden like harper said tattos kind of give a bad image not that there's anything wrong with em.

You shouldn't get tattoos at all.

I have nothing against tattoos. It's totally your choice, but I'm just saying you'll probably regret it when you're older. : P

Like everyone has briefly covered: :P

If you plan to become a police officer in the future tattoos can be extremely misleading to people! Some people may not want to approach an officer with tattoos because again they can be misleading/scary/etc.

I agree with Harper: Keep it hidden. No matter what the tattoo is (ie. Police Logo) keep it hidden!
