In your honest opinion, what do you consider the best operating system for gaming and performance - windows xp, 7, etc...

For me right now I'm running windows 7 ultimate seems ok but may be overkill

Honestly, Win 8 Pro is very good for those willing to work with the new interface(s) and apps. Performance wise, it's a very stable OS and is quite efficient with background task/resources compared to my Win 7 system.

That is cool, if you type Windows 7 or Windows 8...you can click on it...even though you didn't put a link in it...haha. Lol. Sorry, I have my moments.  :wallbash:

Games will most likely be more compatible with Windows 7, considering that Windows 8 is fairly new. And as said above, Windows 8 has not had the best reviews.

I really like Windows 8.

Coming from Windows 7, yes it was different and challenging. But there are so many apps and/or programs that bring the start menu back into play.

Windows 8 is by far the best operating system yet. My start up times are <10 seconds.

Well I've really enjoyed my time with W7 Ultimate. However I love using my other machine loaded with Ubuntu.

I'm still running Vista SP2 64bit and I've never had any issues, I dunno what to say. No crashes or freeze ups or lag issues. I really have no complaints about it

This is a signature, not a good one, but one that's needed

I never got all the Vista hate. It always worked well for me, and XP was just *painful* after trying Vista.

same, i as well never got all the vista hate, for me i loved it, it worked pretty well on my machine.

in my personal opinion i hated xp really, the way it looked and felt was outdated and sluggish to me

i like 7 but not that much, windows 8 though looks pretty amazing if you ask me from my standpoint

i really like windows 8 and will be looking forward to it once i get my surface pro later this year
