Fewer Micro Uzis in traffic stops

Featured Replies

This past evening I played a few hours of LCPDFR on a server.  During that time, I was repeatedly gunned down by Micro Uzis wielded at point blank by the stopped drivers.  Since I was on hardcore mode, this was effectively a death sentence every time.  I put several of these incidents together in a short video.

I used to see drivers getting out of their cars before opening fire, as in this video.  That was on normal mode.  Is hardcore responsible for the one-handed killing?

I would suggest that the weapon for this scenario be switched to the Glock, since a Micro Uzi isn't realistically going to be sitting there next to the driver, waiting to be used on a traffic cop.  Also, it would be nice if drivers would more often get out or otherwise give some sign that they're going to become violent.  It's no fun to be completely and utterly screwed upon walking up to the car.

It's happened to me once or twice on my traffic stops, and I don't use hardcode mode at all.

I think hardcode mode is probably responsible for the probability of the uzi gun-outs increasing. And micro-uzis are a great weapon choice for people who want to gun-down cops, the rapid fire rate and small size makes it just right. However it would be more realistic of the probability of the micro-uzi being pulled out as opposed to a glock would be reduced.

Realistic would be a Glock. Real criminals generally don't have automatic weaponry.

That's not entirely true. It depends on the city, gang culture, drug culture, and economics standing. Take Detroit as an example; one month alone DPD has confiscated 171 Assault Weapons (32% of them from felony stops), and our neighboring suburbs PDs are seeing more and more Assault Weapons popping up in vehicle stops. However, I can agree with you that most officers will most likely be harmed/ambushed by hand guns, rather than Assault Weapon during stops... but there are still cases/deaths of officers losing their lives during stops by Assault Weapons.

By the way, what is your definition of a "real criminal"? First time I ever heard of that...

Happens to me too.  You gotta be ready during traffic stops with your sidearm.  It will keep you on your toes for sure.

Hey Nutt, you a fellow Detroiter?  I'm actually in Birmingham, about 20 miles north of the ol' D.  BTW:  Absolutely love the Mi State Police models you made....awesome work buddy. Should look at working up a Troy PD cars, they are pretty lean and mean looking.  Anyhow, thanks for the work!

Nutt: I meant criminals in real life, as opposed to TV, movies, and games. Literally, "real criminals". Also, when people say "assault weapon", they normally seem to mean semi-automatics (for example, that's what assault weapon bans focus on). Fully-automatic guns are not very common.

Funny thing, I'm working on 2 Troy skins for a buddy over there. I'll send them your way next week.

Cool, thanks Nutt!  Sorry about the thread derail.

Again, just be ready for anything on the streets in LC.  Otherwise your dead!

thats why i always go up to a traffic stop with my shotgun out, i had a guy do that to me today and i well........ blew his brains out.

I have to say....as a compilation, that's pretty hysterical. :D

Like some have suggested, I would always have a weapon of some sort out during traffic stops. As they say, there's no such thing as a routine traffic stop--there are high-risk (felony) stops, and those of unknown risk.

But that might not help you if you're in hardcore mode--from the little bit I played in hardcore mode, you're really thrown off balance if you're shot even once, and it's near-impossible to recover from that.

Every time i do a traffic stop it's either old ladies or taxi drivers who pull out a Micro Uzi...... Since when did old ladies and taxi drivers carry Micro Uzis?! o.O

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

the uzi to the face.. sometimes double uzis. usually wielded by females. here is what i do now. i approach any car with my own uzi!  always make sure its drawn. has saved me countless times

further, avoid running names on the computer. reason being is after you run it and return to the car, and resume interaction with the driver, the game resets the flee/attack flags. so you are essentially doubling your chances of getting a gun in your face or another retarded pursuit.

hardcore mode tends to force more headshots.

also get the spotlight if you do night policing. another life saver.

Just curious, by "Assault Weapon" do you mean the bullshit scare term for semi-autos, or real (automatic) assault rifles?

This is exactly my experience.  (Example: video titled "Taxi the Terrible" on my channel.)  Also it seemed like Infernus drivers were packing Micro Uzis a lot, as seen in the video I posted.

What? I have literally been killed by a UZI.

I'm using hard-core myself as I love realism but see? That's a reason why to have your gun ready.
