That book should come for free in the mail every time some one logs onto the Internet for the first time, let alone www.lcpdfr.com.

The real sad thing about this, is that if he had just shut up and acknowledged he was wrong, maybe even thrown in a an apology, he probably wouldn't have even got into that much trouble (though I don't know about their track record here). The staff here are awesome and are very fair with their decisions, but people expect them to put up with so much shit.

The negative reps were starting to annoy us all really, we were getting a lot of complaints about people purposefully trying to troll using the rep system and it just didn't make sense to keep it.  Hopefully with the positive rep only option, we'll be able to spend less time dealing with that sort of childish stuff but at the same time still allow people to give their thanks or appreciation for things.

 

LCPDFR has been fighting this rep battle for quite some time, at first i was against getting rid of it, but now, i just say get rid of it completely and end the trolling.

I liked the system on FCRP better. Same thing as liking a Facebook status, except for a post and it shows in your profile. Basically that's what we have here now since the negative rep option is gone, but you can't leave a comment with it.

i never really understood the rep system i never used it and i could careless how many positive rep points i get doesnt mean a damn thing to me good to see it gone...i see it as more of an ego booster

The negative rep is more or less, useless. This is not a utopia society, and trolls could rapidly join the site, create multiple accounts and down-rate decent users. I would have to say I do not miss it now.

 

Also, could the team provide modders with an anti-troll settings for modification download pages? I have witnessed some youtube trolls/modding competitors gain en masse and click on the download links to LCPDFR simply to give photos, profiles and downloads 1-star ratings. Perhaps a required reason for ratings < 4 would be better, just like the negative rep.

 

At least now no one can be afraid to post what they think anymore.

Lololololololololololololol. That's hilarious. They tend to be stupid and hardasses that gets them into trouble. But I completely agree, the fact that people try to troll is kinda of pathetic in my mind. I mean really, what does it actually prove? That you can click on a button? That really doesn't take any skill. I think the appropriate action was taken, and I applaud the Community Team for doing what they did.
