Kinda like the drama with the guy who made QuantV putting malware in their stuff.
I'll never understand how the paid modded community manages to be horrific to its users.

You all should just contact your bank for charge backs, most banks don't even question you, but if they do just show screenshots of no product.

I also I see where the LSPDFR staff are coming from as this is off site drama, but at the same time he uses this site to get people to view and buy his products. I think the staff should reconsider their decision as this is clearly destructive behavior towards the community. Just my two cents.

Typical attitude from ED. He's known to use leaks as well. He needs to be banned from this website like MU but he has the staff here protecting him so that'll never happen.

I also want to make it a point that if there are violations of our rules on our site, especially in private messages, it needs to be brought up to us. We can't be everywhere, we can't be active in every Discord community out there. Just because all your friends know about something doesn't mean we do. It also doesn't hurt to make us aware of shady interactions outside of the site, but don't expect us to solve the problem for you. It at least lets us know what to look out for on the site.

As Cyan said, we have a lot of measures in place to protect users, even those who don't actively use our site. Plenty of people attempt to leak models through alternate accounts only to find out that won't work here. But the biggest defense is the community itself. As they say, "see something, say something."

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

What bugs me in all of that is that everything on his servers seems so legit. He has good customer reviews from what look like legit accounts, his website with the purchases is quite fleshed out... he also has a bazillion tickets open in his server. Like I mean hundreds of them. You would think with that much tickets open he'd be better prepared to handle huge workloads, especially since it looks like it's so lucrative to him.
Personally I think I'll file for a refund in a few more days. Not even because of that drama but because he's breaking so many deadlines and that's just unprofessional. If I have a custom order I'll just ask someone else that looks more trustworthy.

In regards to leaks, if someone on the site is using assets without permission then this isn't allowed per our File Guidelines. Please encourage the author of the asset to report this to us via our reporting tools or if this is not possible to get in touch via e-mail (management at lcpdfr dot com) with evidence.

In this particular case, most of it comes down either: it happened off site (the original post) or it wasn't reported to us.
If it happened on DIscord, you may want to reach out to Discord Trust & Safety. If it happened here, report this to us using our reporting tools.

I'm sorry you feel that people on the site are "protected" in some way. I'll be genuinely honest and express that simply isn't the case - you can chose to believe this or not. The reality is we refuse submissions all the time due to incorrect credits, permissions issues and most of my outgoing messages are following up on reports or other file concerns. If we cared about nothing but clicks we wouldn't put half of this effort in.

We've built process and systems to prevent fly-by leaking, multiple accounts and all sorts of other community nuisance behaviour. Maybe we should talk about these systems a little more as it would show the effort that we do go through in protecting the community and assets of those who don't even upload here.

Ok I appreciate it and will do. It just cracks me up how he steady makes cars for free on this site but won't do something for money.

Multiple people have been taken advantage of financially by this user.  This site heavily influences the traffic to his website and discord based on his downloads.  But as for site related.

All of his posts are over 50% of the description promoting his website, discord, commissions etc.

Definitely.

We've been sending messages out to people who have been reported reminding them that file descriptions should be about the files and not other services they offer. This doesn't just affect one author's files, so a lot of authors will find themselves receiving this message. We don't want to be unfair and only apply our rules to certain people. People will be given time to comply and non-complaint files will be hidden after a grace period if no changes are made. We've also rolled out our external link protection system, reminding users when clicking external links to exercise caution.

I strongly agree with @Jcookgrime

The upload descriptions are extremely excessive and completely irrelevant to the files themselves.

Even the downloads contain readmes of more advertisements.

If production is so backed up on models, why continue advertising? Complete your backlog then resume instead of false promises. 🤷‍♂️

Good on you @Cyan for sending out the notices. Maybe look into blacklisting certain words in file descriptions.

Same as the credits issue.

My issue is that you say you won’t ban someone unless they do something illegal. And he Is scamming people out of tons of money which is considered fraud which is illegal. And he has leaked assets of Razers but yet you still allow him to be here. And what banning him would achieve is it would get him out of public light not allowing him to scam as many people still. So unless you’re going to ban him you can’t tell us you won’t ban someone unless they do something illegal, which there’s tons of evidence to prove he’s done. And I hope you do realize the number of devs you are losing because of this. Not just small named devs but even big name devs.

Do you have any evidence supporting this leaked assets claim?

LCPDFR.com does not, never has, and never will condone transfer of funds in return for mods. Our site has strict rules forbidding selling or paying for mods.

Unfortunately, the situation originally posted here was on Discord and is therefore completely out of our control. We cannot take action against a user for their behavior outside of the LCPDFR.com community.

When using the messaging system there is big red notice indicating our rules about purchasing goods and services.

Could contain: text, screenshot, font

I'm not sure what else you expect us to do. If you ignore the message and attempt to purchase goods and services, which is against the rules, coming running to us to solve the problem isn't going to help.

We believe in a free and open modding community where you never have to pay for mods. That doesn't mean, however, that we can be the modding police and ban anyone on our site that sells mods outside of our site. If someone attempts to sell mods through our private messaging system, report the message thread and we will take the appropriate action. The same applies to anyone attempting to buy mods.

In regards to "getting clicks" and other such comments, that has nothing to do with it. Our community is about being open to all and we take banning accounts very seriously. We aren't going to ban people based solely on a lack of quality in their mods. If someone is scamming people out of their money on our site, we need to be told about it. The best way to do that is through reporting the offending content.

I want to reiterate that we are not the modding police. We will not ban users for their actions outside of the site unless there are very serious and proven legal allegations.

Just quit allowing people to disable comments on files they upload. It's ridiculous and would enable the community to inform each other. There's a reason ED doesn't allow commenting on his stuff.

I do not personally have any to share. However, several people have confirmed with both GM (Georgie Moon) and Razer that he has uploaded their bases and never paid for them. And thus being banned from the respective places.

Sweet T gamer for GTA and any fun game.

I think this whole situation has turned for the worst. All I can say is, sucks how this has turned out, sucks many good Reputable Devs I support have left. Honestly it's just unfortunate since this acts were committed off-site with the exception of one that I read earlier.

To the Staff Team who runs LCPDFR Management. I think it's worth to revise and make a exception in your policies which prevents you from doing anything that happens in a 3rd party platform. We get that it's not your problem as your not the "modding police".

However, as you can see. This has caused a butterfly effect, many members of your community are enraged by this. I've always been a fan of LSPDFR, but this is just a sh*tshow to watch as it unfolds.

In no way am I questioning your moderation and decisions. Just wanted to give my opinion.

I kinda agree with s3v3n, + if the allegations of scamming and usage of leaked assets are true, then ED is actively hurting the LSPDFR community, your community. Turning a blind eye on that is only going to make it worse, less and less devs will trust this website... Just my opinion...

Exactly. And this is what we're clamping down on - using LCPDFR.com as a marketplace. A number of authors have received notices instructing them to modify their files to ensure their file description is relevant to the file and not an advert for off-site services. We've also clarified our guidelines on this upon submitting a file.

Thank you for having him remove the link, atleast on first file I looked at.

However, there is still two concerns.  First, his uploads still consist of numerous pictures in description that are completely unrelated to the upload itself.  Unless you can explain to me the benefits of which it serves then I do not think they need to remain.

Second, His Credits.  From a dev perspective it is not ok.  Let us take the most recent Camaro as an example.
The first credit is "Underground."

Is that for the base?  Underground is a discord name, was it Vanz that converted it?  Was it Sharkzilla that converted it?  Where is the base from?  Is it from Turbosquid?  Is it from Forza?  Did the convert come from a ripped version off sketchfab and converted?  Who textured it?  If "underground", their bases do not come with wheels, whos wheels?

Who made what parts?  These are incomplete credits section and doing them completely in a lazy manner like so completely spits in the face of corresponding developers.

It's funny that you write this and yet some people on these forums dont understand why i dont trust scripts that only works if they get access to the internet like bejoijo mods...

About people selling mods, they should watchout, because if Rockstar finds out that some of their content is used by their selling mods, then they can come after them.
