Cyanotic reacted to jpscalero in A Comprehensive Manifesto for LSPDFR 0.5: Unifying the Ecosystem, Native InDear LSPDFR Development Team and Community,
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the creators of this modification. Keeping a project of this magnitude operational over so many years is a monumental achievement. The dedication of this team is the sole reason GTA V remains relevant for thousands of players today.
As a veteran player, I would like to offer a highly detailed, constructive roadmap regarding the current state of the mod and where I believe future major releases (such as a potential 0.5 version) should head.
The Current Problem: Ecosystem Fragmentation and Technical Debt Presently, to achieve a genuinely immersive and complete law enforcement simulation, players are forced to construct a fragile ecosystem of third-party plugins. A standard loadout requires the base LSPDFR mod plus StopThePed, UltimateBackup, CompuLite, EUP, ELS, PoliceSmartRadio, ResistPlus, SuspectSense, GrammarPolice, and multiple Callout packs.
Relying on 20+ disparate .dll and .asi files creates severe memory leaks, extreme FPS drops, and constant game crashes. To future-proof this mod, the core functionalities of these essential plugins must be absorbed and integrated natively into the base LSPDFR framework.
Here is an extensive breakdown of the native systems I propose:
1. A Unified, Native Interaction Engine (StopThePed Integration)
In-Depth Questioning: Native, dynamic dialogue trees. Suspects should be able to lie, attempt to bribe the officer, or exhibit nervous behavior.
Scene Management: Native options to physically grab suspects, perform breathalyzers, drug swab tests, and fully search a suspect's pockets or vehicle, yielding randomized, logical evidence.
2. Tactical AI & Advanced Backup Systems (UltimateBackup Integration)
Specialized Units: A native radial menu to call in specific assets: K9 units that can track scent trails, SWAT teams for dynamic entries, and Air Support.
Autonomous Tactical AI: Backup AI programmed to autonomously perform safe PIT maneuvers and set up spike strips.
3. Comprehensive Police Computer & Legal System (CompuLite Integration)
Citations and Arrest Reports: A native UI where officers can issue specific citations and log reports based on persistent pedestrian background histories.
Evidence-Based "Aftermath" System: A post-arrest notification detailing the court's verdict days later. Crucially, court persistence must be logical: whether the suspect is sentenced to prison or acquitted and released should strictly depend on whether the player managed to collect and present sufficient evidence at the scene (weapons, drugs, testimonies).
4. Advanced Lighting and Siren Control (ELS Integration)
Native Multi-Stage Lighting: LSPDFR should natively overwrite the game’s siren mechanics to provide a built-in Stage 1, 2, and 3 lighting system for routine traffic stops, stealth approaches, and high-speed pursuits.
Independent Siren Toggles: The ability to cycle through different siren tones independently of the visual light stages.
5. Native Wardrobe & Character Customization (EUP Integration)
Native MP Character System: LSPDFR should natively utilize GTA Online multiplayer (Freemode) ped models directly within the police station locker room.
Integrated High-Quality Uniforms: Pre-packaged, high-quality realistic tactical gear and uniforms for all major agencies (LSPD, BCSO, SAHP).
6. Interactive Radio HUD (PoliceSmartRadio Integration)
Visual Radio Interface: Scrolling through text menus during a high-speed chase is dangerous. LSPDFR needs a native, on-screen visual radio HUD that allows players to request a tow truck or coroner with a simple click.
7. Unpredictable Suspect Behavior & Pursuit Awareness (ResistPlus & SuspectSense Integration)
Dynamic Resistance: Suspects should natively have a chance to suddenly fight back, draw a weapon, or flee on foot midway through a calm questioning or while being handcuffed.
Pursuit Awareness: A native tracking feature that highlights a fleeing suspect's general direction or last known position, simulating police intuition and adrenaline.
8. A Truly Living Jurisdiction (AmbientEmergencyTraffic Integration)
Native Ambient Services: AI police, fire trucks, and ambulances should natively respond to their own emergencies across the map with lights and sirens. Hearing sirens in the distance makes the city feel like a real, breathing jurisdiction.
9. Dynamic Dispatch and Voice Commands (GrammarPolice Integration)
Native Voice Recognition: Integrating native Windows speech recognition so players can request backup and run plates via their microphone.
10. Greater Diversity and Depth of Native Callouts The base game becomes repetitive very quickly, forcing players to install dozens of unstable packs.
Callout Roster Expansion: LSPDFR needs to natively include between 10 and 20 new, varied callouts. This should include normal patrol calls, highly immersive calls, and long-duration investigative calls (lasting 15 to 20 minutes).
Warrant Execution / Bounty Hunting: A specific callout where the officer receives the details of a wanted fugitive and must actively search the city to locate and arrest that specific person based on their last known whereabouts.
11. Crucial Quality of Life: Native Localization (Multi-Language Support)
Official Language Files: Implementing an externalized, native localization system (JSON/XML) for languages like Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese, exponentially expanding LSPDFR’s global player base without requiring broken, third-party translations.
Conclusion By absorbing these scattered community concepts into a single, optimized, official codebase, LSPDFR would become exponentially more stable, performant, and immersive. Thank you for your continued passion for this incredible project.

Cyanotic got a reaction from jas1kk in ELS Stage 3 crash "Game completely closing when triggered"I figured it out. For me at least. If you have sirensettinglimitadjuster.asi installed REMOVE it. It will definitely crash your game as soon as you hit stage 3 lighting. Hope this resolves your issue.

Cyanotic got a reaction from Slaker in Emergency Distributors ScamJust quit allowing people to disable comments on files they upload. It's ridiculous and would enable the community to inform each other. There's a reason ED doesn't allow commenting on his stuff.

Cyanotic got a reaction from Slaker in Emergency Distributors ScamI honestly can't believe he's, they're, they? whatever the fuck it wants to be called is allowed to release stuff.

Go to GTA V/plugins/lspdfr/UltimateBackup and open the SpecialUnits.xml file.
Search for the following lines:
<SpecialUnit name="Air Ambulance" role="medic" code2="False" code3="True" pursuit="False" traffic_stop="False" felony_stop="False"> <LosSantosCity> <VehicleSet spawn_distance="200"> <Vehicles> <Vehicle livery="2">POLMAV</Vehicle> </Vehicles> <Peds> <Ped>S_M_M_PARAMEDIC_01</Ped> </Peds> </VehicleSet> </LosSantosCity> ...
If you want to change the vehicle model for this unit, change the model name from "POLMAV" to something else in the following line:
<Vehicle livery="2">POLMAV</Vehicle>
Don't forget to change it for the other regions, too. What I described above would only change the vehicle model for "Los Santos City".
I hope this was understandable. Let me know if you have questions.

Cyanotic reacted to LoneStarPatrol in White blanket for dead bodiesSo if we can clearly tell someone is dead (Being shot in the head or shot multiple times) we can go to our truck and grab a body blanket and lay it over them and it would be a cool feature for immersive RP and photos/Videos

Cyanotic reacted to Rabbit GTA V Development in Emergency Distributors Scam@Back12 posted evidence of ED conducting business on this site. Is that not an enforceable rule since it's not allowed? This guy is actively doing this to multiple people. I get you can't control what's done on discord but at the very least you can control his actions on this site. Or no?
This is very true. I've confirmed this with razer. Razer said he's been banned for using leaks and yet he's still posting razers models on his builds. Crazy.
He gets the site clicks man. That's all they really care about. People don't know better. They see nice screenshots and don't really know the trash behind it. Devs work hard to provide content for free and it's guys like ED whos ruining the reputation of this site and the moderators don't care. I stand by my first comment. He's protected for some odd reason. If only they knew the lies he hides behind.
When I first started modding, he reuploaded one of my vehicles with his texture. I asked him to take it down and he got nasty, saying very questionable things. It's sad that he allowed to be a cancer to this community.

Cyanotic reacted to SuperPyroManiac in Emergency Distributors ScamKinda like the drama with the guy who made QuantV putting malware in their stuff.
I'll never understand how the paid modded community manages to be horrific to its users.
You all should just contact your bank for charge backs, most banks don't even question you, but if they do just show screenshots of no product.
I also I see where the LSPDFR staff are coming from as this is off site drama, but at the same time he uses this site to get people to view and buy his products. I think the staff should reconsider their decision as this is clearly destructive behavior towards the community. Just my two cents.
-
Cyanotic reacted to Templipouet in Emergency Distributors ScamI kinda agree with s3v3n, + if the allegations of scamming and usage of leaked assets are true, then ED is actively hurting the LSPDFR community, your community. Turning a blind eye on that is only going to make it worse, less and less devs will trust this website... Just my opinion...

Cyanotic reacted to Cyan in Emergency Distributors ScamYes, of course. @Back12 please report these messages to us using the reporting tool. That will allow all of our moderation staff to easily access the private message thread, along with full message histories and edit metadata to take appropriate action.
In regards to leaks, if someone on the site is using assets without permission then this isn't allowed per our File Guidelines. Please encourage the author of the asset to report this to us via our reporting tools or if this is not possible to get in touch via e-mail (management at lcpdfr dot com) with evidence.
In this particular case, most of it comes down either: it happened off site (the original post) or it wasn't reported to us.
If it happened on DIscord, you may want to reach out to Discord Trust & Safety. If it happened here, report this to us using our reporting tools.
I'm sorry you feel that people on the site are "protected" in some way. I'll be genuinely honest and express that simply isn't the case - you can chose to believe this or not. The reality is we refuse submissions all the time due to incorrect credits, permissions issues and most of my outgoing messages are following up on reports or other file concerns. If we cared about nothing but clicks we wouldn't put half of this effort in.
We've built process and systems to prevent fly-by leaking, multiple accounts and all sorts of other community nuisance behaviour. Maybe we should talk about these systems a little more as it would show the effort that we do go through in protecting the community and assets of those who don't even upload here.

Cyanotic reacted to Rabbit GTA V Development in Emergency Distributors ScamThanks for the transparency. Your reply actually cleared it up unlike Will who was condescending and made excuse after excuse. He needs re-training in his responses.
I'll reach out the the dev and see if thats what he wants to prosue.

Cyanotic reacted to Rabbit GTA V Development in Emergency Distributors ScamNot sure if he knows but it's well known all over discord and everyone I've talked to knows. Doubt anything will happen because he gets this site clicks from his constant broken releases.

Cyanotic reacted to Parkerbrower80 in Emergency Distributors ScamThankful to know I was not the only person...I've been waiting three months and kept getting told one more week....I still have yet to receive any vehicles. I asked for a refund and was told to go through the app that I sent money on "Cash App" and was told that the person I sent money to basically needs to send me the money back. When confronting ED with this they worked their way around giving me a refund yet again....No money or vehicle in sight for me...beyond upsetting
