Grand Theft Auto 5 LCPDFR Petition!!!!

Featured Replies

Hey Guys!!!

Been thinking about the new game coming out and was thinking how cool it would be for Rockstar to acknowledge us and show its support for what LCPDFR has done for them. The truth is that many people (including myself) went out and bought GTA4 on PC in order to just play LCPDFR

So I was thinking. Lets start a petition among us LCPDFR members and get a bunch of people to agree to have the LCPDFR forward a request to Rockstar to incorporate something related to LCPDFR into the new game title. Why cant they just make a cool cop car, give it a cool skin, lights and sirens that  are awesome???

Just making the default cop car a really cool cop car would be awesome and a huge boost to Rockstar's bottom line. This would be something that could still be done even this late in production and could be done across all gaming platforms.

If you guys would like to see this or have a different idea (without getting to crazy) then post it in the reply section. If you agree that you would like to see the LCPDFR staff "make an attempt" to contact Rockstar with this idea then post that here as well. If I get alot of comments then Ill send a link to this forum to the LCPDFR staff and see what they can do.

Don't really think R* feel's the same about the community, since they're doing everything in their power to stop modding, and pretty sure this has been mentioned before and am almost certain this is going to be closed.. i said almost lol

your probably rite. Im just day dreaming....LOLbut wouldnt it be cool to see the game all over the world with ELS style default police cars??? that would be awesome...

I am afraid your act, though with good intent, could prove futile. Rockstar Games AFAIK is a profit driven organization, not a community one. They will not care about adding or optimizing features for their games unless it appeals to their largest and most profitable audience - the average, console gamer.

I don't think they could care less about LCPDFR, sadly, because the interest base is too small compared to their main consumer target (not everyone likes police or playing as them, where as alot more people like storylines and blowing things up mindlessly, for instance), although there are many players who do, and it has been proven that GTA has a replay value long after its original release due to modding. Most of GTA IV's modding tools were based on hooks into the game engine. There was no original SDK provided, GTA isn't that type of game.

Although I hope that what you want to do will at least have some positive effect. We could all benefit from that.

Rockstar Left PC gamer Because of Piracy BUT because the petition reached more than 100000 signatures they changed minds and they gonna release it on PC

I dont know about LCPDFR but im sure they gonna have alot of modder and scripter around thinking about it.

I haven't heard anything from Rockstar Games about a PC release so therefore I'm going to go ahead and say that what you've posted there is purely a rumor.

Due to the way R* operates, you'll learn to not believe anything until they announce it themselves

When Rockstar does something for a big-titled game like one in the Grand Theft Auto Series, they ALWAYS update their Newswire first, then their Twitter and then Facebook.

You are not a shareholder of Rockstar Games. Your petitions are useless, and will not affect/influence them in anyway.

Any decisions Rockstar Games will make will be based on statistics and what they think will earn them the most money. This is how businesses work.

I think having lcpdfr as a stand-alone mod is better. When you give it to R* you are letting them do whatever they want to it, they can add and change features at their will, and they won't listen to the what we want like the lcpdfr staff does. It would change the mod completely.

Lets be honest here, R* like all other companies go for the money and business as others have said above, and the majority of gamers, PC, x-box, or ps3  don't want a police mod, or anything like it. The GTA series is made for people who want to steal cars, kill cops, and do other things that they would never do in real life.

they could do a dlc police version for the game so it would be more of a choice and the would still rake in cash maybe if the dlc is successful they would consider a full game

Rockstar isn't doing anything to stop the modding community. They are aware of the amount of sales they get from PC gamers, who usually come to the game for the modding. They aren't going to purposely put and end to modding.

The problem with anti-modding and anti-piracy efforts are that eventually it will be beaten. The best that R* can do is make it harder to do so. It's the same with all types of security, it's only to keep your average person out.

I Wish LCPDFR could be play from Consoles like PS3/PS4... :( because is to expensive to upgrade a PC this days...

Bang! there it is.. see think of how many people come to pc again just to play? LCPDFR? some of these people spend some big cash too just to either buy a computer or to upgrade.. and this is for what a 3 person made modification you say? and that's not to mention all the ones who would probably love to play LCPDFR but don't bother because it is PC only and they can't. Business works on what brings in cash not on what balances everything out. If there is a chance for **hhehe R* games to profit from this they will. Now the question comes to whether or not the developers of LCPDFR are accepted as co partners in their *operations* . that way, you see, would allow LCPDFR developers to still do their thing without R* interfering too much and R* does their main thing etc... however the chances of R* doing that eeeeehh well depends on how badly the developers of LCPDFR want to expand. Then we can look at does the developers of LCPDFR want to expand into a corporation like that or do they want to start their own.

  Just my thoughts.
