Yes, but it is more difficult and riskier (console modifications can lead to getting console banned from online services), and so much, much less common than pirating PC games.

I highly doubt it'll be on the Wii U

Nintendo has always been a family gamer, hence how their DS and Wii consoles haven't sold as well as the competition due to the fact they lack any proper good games.

Let the V come out. And more importantly, let the coders even understand how V will be cracked to make it moddable, in the first place. LCPD:FR for V will be considered after that. Its a long, really long way to go.

Plus you guys are already seeing how much time it takes to release a proper version for IV. Devs barely get the time for their personal life. There's no guarantee that G17 Media will be cramming LCPD:FR in V as well. So all of the guys who're expecting this, I'm sorry but the truth is- it took almost 5-6 years to get LCPD:FR where it is now today; I say stop holding your breaths. Its a long way to V's release on PC, and even longer to get LCPD:FR's similar counterpart to be introduced into it. Don't expect too much, V's capabilities/modus operandi are even unknown at this point.

Huh? LCPDFR has only been going for 3 years?

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

They will release it on PC, they might be stupid enough to go for profit(console) over loyalty(PC) but they will do a PC version. Even if it is yet another ten minute port.

The switch from RenderWare to RAGE slowed down IV modding, since V is using RAGE I am sure it will give modders a head start. Even if they decide to kill modding for the first couple of patches, their attempts are futile with such a huge, skilled community.

You are using the WRONG right theme!

I will explain why they will release it for PC and if they don't release it the reason will not be the piracy. R* is a company like all the others, the main objective is to make money, why would you lose a lot of money on a plataform that a lot of people buy the original game because of piracy? It's better to win some money than don't sell anything and don't win nothing.

If it wont be released on PC, R* will lose my respect, and I will never buy any game from them till the die I die.Bought all the GTA's, all of the Max Payns guess what, I am pirating games, but I download them to try them first, not to be a dick and steal games... Most of us ( pirates ) do that - we download first, buy later. Also much easier if you are buying games on Steam - Steam can be very slow and could take like 5 hours or more to download a game like GTA IV etc, and if you torrent a retail copy, it could take you as little 1 hour

Where there might be one person boycotting, there are 100 more 14 year olds with XBOX's to replace you. Boycotting may make you feel better, but it won't work. I boycotted Modern Warfare 2 with my friends due to the fact that there are no dedicated servers. Black Ops 2 appears to be the same, and is one of the two main reasons I will not buy it, but wasn't the only thing that affected my decision. Activision & Infinity Ward called the PC community a "very loud minority" when questioned about the PC community's uprising against the lack of dedicated servers. They are extremely disrespectful in saying that, but also absolutely correct in saying that. Such is the way of consumer demand. They could cast us aside completely and still make billions.

Where did you get that statistic?

I've never had a game take 5 hours to install, ever, even an MMO I downloaded from STEAM. Most games take about an hour or so. And when the games are downloaded they are being downloaded in a way that requires no setup. There's less compression so that is why it may take longer. Being lazy isn't a valid excuse to pirate. If anything, saying that just makes people who pirate look like scumbags. I played ripped games when I was a little kid before I was old enough to have a job. And do you know how many of those games I went out and bought after in a noble effort to give the developers money for their hard work? Zero. Even when I had a job. Zero.

The only game I've recently pirated was the new need for speed, I wasn't sure if my system could run it due to its stunning lighting system..

Turns out, it can. So I removed it, went out and bought a disc copy to support the developers. Haven't looked back since, I love it. The online is fantastic.
