Automatic Roadblocks 0.8.1

(17 reviews)

16 Screenshots

Automatic Roadblocks

Automatic Roadblocks allows the dispatching of roadblocks during a pursuit based on a selected pursuit level.

When roadblocks are deployed, custom scanner audio is played as well as for the indication that the pursuit level is automatically increased.

Next to automatic roadblocks, it allows you to place configurable manual roadblocks and traffic redirections.

Leave improvements, issues or feature requests in the comments.

Audio levels have been decreased as of version 0.8.0, please update all files provided in this plugin under "lspdfr/audio".

Features

  • Automatic roadblock placement during pursuits
  • Roadblock cops automatically join the pursuit after a hit/bypass
  • Request a roadblock during a pursuit
  • Manual configurable roadblock placement
  • Configurable traffic redirection
  • Spike strips
  • Junction/intersection roadblocks
  • Police SmartRadio integration
  • Grammar Police integration
  • Road closure

Planned Features

Spoiler
  • More scenery variations within the roadblocks
  • Additional scenery such as other emergency vehicles (Fire & EMS) to manual roadblock placements/traffic redirection

Requirements

  • LSPDFR 0.4.9.0+
  • RageNativeUI 1.9.0.0+ (provided in ZIP)

Automatic roadblocks

Automatic roadblocks are deployed automatically or requested by the player during a pursuit.

Each roadblock is dynamically created based on the road location where it is deployed (no prefabs are used).

Each roadblock level has a unique setup and variation which makes it more difficult to pass the higher the level is.

image.thumb.png.a20a1ade1e50234cbf4e8d254ac03b93.png

Evening/night - Lights

Lights will be automatically placed within the roadblock during the evening/night.

This option can be disabled in the config file.

Automatic roadblock level increases

The levels of the roadblock are automatically increased based on the following conditions:

Spoiler
  • The duration of the pursuit
  • The total number of roadblocks deployed for the pursuit
  • If the suspects are shooting
  • Number of cops killed by the suspects

Roadblock levels

The roadblock levels are now fully customisable to your liking.
For more info, see the plugins/LSPDFR/Automatic Roadblocks/data/roadblocks.xml

Manual placement

Deploy a custom configured roadblock (outside of pursuits) through the in-game menu.

The manual placement option allows different variants of barriers, lights and vehicles.

image.thumb.png.6b7e5cb4950704076719b06eb29eb58c.png

Redirect traffic

Create a configurable traffic redirection for the current lane.

This will not close the road but redirect traffic to the next lane or around the location.

image.thumb.png.240b8c940a646933c8bce15e54e411f0.png

Close road

Close the current road for any traffic with roadblocks along the road or close the nearby intersection.

This feature will be expanded in the future with additional scenery items.

I would love to see this integrated into the UltimateBackup menu so that I can just deploy it through there. I want this but having an entire separate mod when one already has roadblocks is excessive with the keybindings and menus in my opinion.

To do that the author must have permission from UB author. Also this is a completely separate plugin with different features than UB roadblock.

Plus the title suggests this is "automatic" roadblock, you should be able to disable the hotkeys and set it to automatic mode.

Hi,

If you could, please send me the RagePluginHook.log from the GTA V installation directory in a DM.

This will help me solve issues faster as I don't have to try & replicate the issue on my machine.

great plugin , but for some reason my traffic redirection doesn't work i spawn it and then NPC just doesn't change route either hit cones or just stop! any idea if i'm doing something wrong or change settings?

Nope. Same issue for me, I posted about it back on Saturday with essentially the same question. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? I must assume since the author has replied to other posts, this feature simply does not work. Too bad, it would have solved the issue of setting up paths with scene manager. While scene manager does work, it's super tedious to do it.

I'll keep an eye on this and see if the traffic re-director is ever updated so it actually does redirect.

Hi

It could be that i missed the post as I've been quite busy the last few days.

I'm aware of the issue/missing feature of it correctly redirecting the traffic which will be fixed in the future.

It will however not be fixed in the next upcoming release as it will be the features of spike strips & junction roadblocks.

Thank you very much, the plugin is just awesome, only one question: How to remove the roadblock after the end of the chase?

Hi

It should be automatically removed after 45 seconds.

Vehicles & cops however will not be removed as they're handed over to LSPDFR at the end of a pursuit.

This roadblock plugin is much better than ultimate backup's solid wall style roadblock where suspect's car can never crash through.   There's also no distance restrictions like ultimate backup, and has less bloat for those who only want roadblock.

Hi Yeop I have tried to use this plugin and it doesnt seem to want to work for me. I have included a few pictures as to help with what I am seeing and using. When I first start the game and go on duty the plugin firsts says that it has an error and then after it says that im on duty it says that its loaded, then when I hop in a persuit and press X it just shows dispatch roadblock but no options, then as it says that I am able to close roads down partially or completely using it, it just shows the same thing. Would you be willing to help me figure this out?

Hi

The crash is not related to this plugin, but to MoreRadioChatter.

Quote "Please fix asap."  You could show some respect to the author at least, he/she is working on this project for completely free in their personal free time. If this plugin caused a crash, you could at least kindly report it to the author, instead of "demanding" the author to fix it ASAP. This kind of attitude is the exact reason why so many legendary plugin developers retired. You're taking this plugin as granted as if the author is working for you.

I asked politely and addressed the issue with a screenshot saying as soon as you can, please fix this issue as the plugin won't work on the newest version. I've seen much much worse comments than mine and I don't see you replying to any of them which is quite comical. Listen man I don't know who you are, never heard of you in this community as I'm friends with a lot of the devs, If you have an issue with the way I comment on posts please DM me and we'll talk it out like adults. Thank you!

There's no need to talk via DM, the point is for public to see this. I'm just a regular community member who supports everyone's hard work, you don't really need to know who I am, and I don't care who you are either, because that's irrelevant.

Also, I am addressing to your post, not the others. It doesn't matter what anyone else said. Just like if you got pulled over for speeding, and you are telling the officer, "why would you pull me over, everyone was speeding!"

You are reconstructing your statement now and that doesn't overwrite what you've said before: according to your original comment, all you said was "Please fix asap. This is from the newest version."  I've been in this community for ages, and comments like this gives anyone the impression of "I don't care about all of the hard work behind this, since it's free I'm going to take it for granted." Remember what Albo1125 said in his retirement post?

Especially in this case, due to the fact that this plugin author is pretty nice and he/she updates their plugin constantly since it's published. What you've posted wasn't a "polite report," it was a "demand of fixing that issue ASAP." For anyone who has an advanced understanding of English, it means the author should stop whatever they are doing right now and look at your post, check the code, test the code, run the game, and publish the updates within the next few hours.   Words are powerful, isn't it.

This is an example of how you could encourage the author to check your post and possibly fix the issue in a short period of time: "Hey Yoep, thanks for the recent updates! I really enjoy this plugin. But unfortunately, I ran into a crash after updating it to the latest version, could you please take a look? I've attached the log below, I can't wait to play this plugin again, thank you for your hard work!"

If you think your comment is "better" than those comments that "worse" than yours, remember we learn from the best, we don't pat ourselves on the back and telling ourselves we are doing ok by comparing us with someone who is worse than us. Read a few comments under Albo1125's plugin page back in 2015, what do you think?

I have two suggestions for this mod.

1. Able to replace the cop peds on each level

2. Able to replace the cop cars on each level

dude wrote a whole paragraph telling me how I should comment LMAO. Anyways I'm beta testing for this current author and have had nothing but great talks. Time for you to go tell someone else how to comment and run their life lmaaaao. Oh and ASAP if you don't know what that means, "as soon as possible" Does that mean now? Nope! It means push an update to fix this issue on the latest version as soon as you can. I want every author to be successful and have their plugins fixed. Thats why im talking to him right now and beta testing for him! Bet you didn't know that did ya? Would you like to advise more of how you want me to listen to your stupid lecture and how I should type comments the way you want me to? Have fun wasting your time bud!

Would rather get all the attention he can get and likes on his comments rather than settle and talk like adults in a dm. Must have not grown up yet. Comical.

Hi

Both of them will be added in the near future (work has already been done on this feature).

It will however be replaced by the LSPDFR config and not a config from the plugin.
