This mod is not causing tasers to be deadly. Likely something else effecting your game.

Deadly Weapons is a plugin for LSPDFR to add a more dangerous feel to guns. GTA makes people sponges for gameplay, but LSPDFR aims for a more realistic approach.

 

With deadly weapons I increase damage taken by weapons for both the player and AI. Damage varies between limbs and whether the ped is wearing armor or not. It also introduces new auto panic button behavior for when the player fires their weapons.

have a suggestion: Please could you make the nightstick NON-LETHAL !? it is annoying that we can't use the nightstick because we will kill the ped instantly that is not realistic

I currently dont change any values from melee weapons but I could look into this.

Probably a stupid question but im going to ask it anyway., Looking at the .ini if i were to set "EnablePlayerDamageSystem" to false and set "AlternatePlayerDamageSystem" to true, could i then change "AltDamageMultiplier" to 1.5 and would that lower the damage the AI does to me? I have the improved ai accuracy meta and try to keep my distance but still find myself getting shot up every patrol, just trying to tweak the damage a little bit if possible.  (part of my issue is some callouts dont fully trigger if im not pretty close to them, otherwise they just stand there)

Love this mod. LSPDFR just isn't as fun unless there's imminent danger. But nonetheless, I wish there was a way to tweak the damage. Maybe that's something you could add to the .ini file sometime?

Ive added an alternate damage multiplier you can customize already

If you have body armor it takes at least 2 shots to kill you. Even without you have to get unlucky to die to 1 shot.
Send a log and I'll prove it.

You can also enable the alternative damage system and have much lower damage intake.

hey bro, not sure if u figured it out, but i went into the files for the ai accuracy and just changed them, i compared to original file to see what was changed and whatever was lowered i lowered more, now its alot better

I downloaded both this plugin and the DamageTrackerFramework but i feel no difference in game, is something broken or did i miss something?

Edit: it now works, no idea why or what changed

Overall, I enjoy the mod. My only complaint.....80 - 90% of the time, the first hit leads to an instant death on my character. I always keep full health and armor on; however, it's extremely rare to survive a shot. These deadly weapons are DEADLY!

 

I recently downloaded Improved AI Accuracy and that hasn't helped much either, as typically the first shot makes contact regardless of distance. I turned down the AI accuracy in the configuration file of Deadly Weapons and that has seemed to help in regards to accuracy. I'm now tinkering with the Alternate Player Damage System set to true to see if I can get the damage where I want it. 

 

Again, enjoying the mod and definitely makes me approach each traffic stop with caution......just hate approaching a car, then getting domed with a no-look, over the shoulder shot as I'm approaching the rear of their car. Had another scenario last week where I responded to a disorderly conduct call.....was in the area but couldn't see the suspects clearly as they were roughly 60 yards or so down the road, beyond traffic.....I hear a gunshot and immediately I am dead. This was before I tuned down accuracy, but dang, I didn't realize I was in a city full of military trained snipers! Lol.

 

All fun and games, thank you for all your hard work on this mod. I'm late to the LSPDFR journey but it's mods like this that keep me entertained! I will eventually get the specifics nailed down thanks to the customization you've allowed in the ini file.

Based on my experience, you would set both to true, then adjust the multiplier accordingly. I tried 1.5 for a bit but I was a bit spongey. I'm going to put it back to 2.00 and try that tomorrow. Setting AlternatePlayerDamageSystem to false just isn't working out for me as I die on first shot nearly every time. Most the time, I get shot before I can even see a gun, so there's no time to even react. Setting AlternatePlayerDamageSystem to true, seems to override the default damage system and allow you to use the multiplier instead. I'd recommend starting at 2.00 and adjust from there. I haven't had enough time to test this value for a sweet spot yet.
