Not to be rude or anything. But there is another plugin that does all these too, called "RichsPoliceEnhancement." I am also aware that the creator of the original Automaticsirencutoff has stopped updating his plugin, but Rich's plugin does what the original does. Now we have this too, so there are more options to choose from.

RPH plugins go into the 'plugins' folder, LSPDFR plugins go into the 'LSPDFR' folder, and ScriptHookVDotNet (SHVDN) scripts go into the 'scripts' folder.

So here's the thing about the plugin I do not really understand.

Features:

Instant Siren Cutoff
Keeps Emergency Lights Active

I can see why instant siren cutoff would be useful for ELS, but for DLS (which is a superior lighting system to ELS) it already has automatic siren cutoff.

And for the "Keep Emergency Lights Active," ELS and DLS cars have their lights remain on until you turn it off. So I do not see a reason to have a feature to keep the lights active when both lighting plugin already keeps the lights active until turned off.

It does not do anything your talking about. lol just cuts off the siren Buddy and Yes your Correct about that But mainly people Use Els CAUSE DLS Is trash crashes games after 1-2 hours IDK Why But It does Thank you for your Consideration in my post Tho Have a good day.

idk what u mean about DLS crashing the game after 1-2 hours XD thats a straight up lie. I have DLS only in my game and plenty of other people do too. I can play for 3 hours+ without a single issue. ELS is trash for having premade patterns, uses extras to flashlights rather than the actual game lighting system, you also can't do break overrides (like a lot of real department has), corner door cuts, pattern changing depending on speed, can change traffic advisors on the fly, and so much more. Oh, and it is more stable and doesn't cost FPS loss like ELS.

Either way that is beside the point, what do you mean by "Keep Emergency Lights Active?" You also state that that your plugin doesn't need dependencies but then in all caps "Needs SHVDN nightly." Why not just make it only be dependent on SHV only since SHVDN is unstable compared to SHV?

What's the difference between this plugin and Rich's Auto Siren Cutoff besides the excessive amount of sirens that you "cutoff"???? And while I'm here, there are MULTIPLE points in both your replies and your description that are so flagrantly wrong or straight disrespectful, it's actually appalling to the point where it's actually aggravating to even reread.

1) Not only do you absolutely fail to address key constructive criticisms regarding your plugin, you completely fail to explain wtf your plugin is actually supposed to do. Not only that, but you have the absolute audacity laugh in the faces of those who are just asking the basic question of WHAT DOES IT DO?? If you can't explain the key features of your plugin, then you need to take it down, and figure👏it👏out.
2) You are spreading insane amounts of misinformation regarding the DLS plugin. No, it does not crash every 1-2 hours. That is just a you issue, plain and simple. NOBODY I've talked to has had that problem before. Stop spreading misinformed bullshit on stuff you are not aware of.

basically admitting the description oversold or poorly explained the plugin…

From a framework standpoint, I don’t really get this plugin.

Every plugin should answer one question: why does this need to exist?

Reading the description, it sounds like it does X and Y, but then in the comments you say it basically just cuts off the siren. Those two things don’t really line up, so I’m honestly confused about what problem this is actually solving.

We already have mature, widely used solutions like ELS and DLS that provide a much broader feature set around emergency lighting and siren behavior. If this plugin is intentionally only doing one small thing, what’s the value proposition for adding another DLL to the stack instead of that functionality living inside an existing framework or lighting system?

As another GTA plugin developer, I’m not trying to hate on the project. I’m genuinely trying to understand the architectural decision here because right now it feels like a solution in search of a problem. What gap does this fill that the current ecosystem doesn’t?
