Deadly Weapons is a plugin for LSPDFR to add a more dangerous feel to guns. GTA makes people sponges for gameplay, but LSPDFR aims for a more realistic approach.

 

With deadly weapons I increase damage taken by weapons for both the player and AI. Damage varies between limbs and whether the ped is wearing armor or not. It also introduces new auto panic button behavior for when the player fires their weapons.

 

Reduce AI's aimbot with this mod:

Changes:

  • Updated PyroCommon to use a different default keybind (F9), and an option to disable the menu entirely. Change the key or disable it, leave me alone.
  • Cleaned up excessive game fibers, think I only use 1 or 2 now. Very small performance gain.
  • Added a feature to automatically create missing DW configs. If you mess them up it will still crash, this is a skill issue and I cannot fix that.

 

Config:

  • Config can now be adjusted via my new plugin manager which you access with 'F9' by default.

    Sorry, I explained it incorrectly. It doesn't replace it or anything, but as stated by Echooo in the "Improved Ai Accuracy mod", changing the pedaccuracy.meta file to make AI less accurate has no effect on the AI's accuracy whilst Deadly Weapons is enabled ("NOTE: This mod likely will not have any effect if you use deadly weapons (at least as far as I can tell) because deadly weapons has its own built in accuracy system, however there shouldn't be any compatibility issues if you still choose to use deadly weapons in combination with this mod.").

    @Echooo This is false. Deadly Weapons does not modify or change AI accuracy at all.

    I think that may have been for an old version, I swear it had an accuracy system at some point. Ill update the description though and remove that.

    A little unrealistic? Got punched 1 time and i died of that.. Would be nice to configure values of damage if that would be possible.

    loved your plugin when it first came out, since recent updates, however, ai seem to have god aim bot again. There is hardly any callout that involes a shooting suspect where I don't die before exiting my car. I didn't change any settings, so the one-shot-kills are set to false as it comes.

    Ditto - just been killed by a single shot within 0.1 seconds of activiating emergency lights for a traffic stop. Going to try Echoo's AI accuracy mod because unfortunately peds are way too accurate at the moment.

    Sadly I cannot change the ped's accuracy from their vanilla values with this plugin. You can alter it with actual mods, but it does not seem to work from scripts.

    I appreciate that, I love the plugin but unfortunately I feel that it's not a true reflection of realism without being able to modify AI accuracy by other means. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

    Love this! Sometimes I get the living hell scared out of me when I'm walking up to a car and then all of a sudden a loud gunshot and then dead. Not all my altercations end that way though, just make sure to have that body armor to give you a little extra chance to fight back. It gets deep quick

    love the mod boss. its pretty much essential..just wondering if in the future you could add the option to disable the weapon spotted notification but still get the other benefits of using BetterPulloverAi. just a thought..

    Hey,
    I have two questions:
    1. Wasn't there once an .ini file where you could change the accuracy of the AI? In the current one you can only set the various features "on/off".
    2. what exactly is this "Alternate Damage Method" all about? I haven't quite understood what it's for.

    Maybe at one point. But currently, all the possible difficulty settings can be found in the current ini for Deadly Weapons.

    believe this is so you can switch between the OG damage method and the one that uses Variapolis' Damage Tracker Framework.

    There was a setting, and it did not work. I am unable to change it from this script so I just removed it.

    Alternate damage is just that, alternate damage. Its basically vanilla damage X whatever% you put in the ini.
