Cop Holster is an RPH plugin that adds some unique functionality to the police handgun holster. It removes the handgun from the holster if a pistol is a drawn. It also comes with intimidation mode -- a simple feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Cop Holster works with both the player and AI officers.

Requirements
RAGEPluginHook 0.23 or higher.

 

Installation
Place CopHolster.dll and CopHolster.xml in your Plugins folder.
When ingame, open the RPH console (default F4) and type LoadPlugin CopHolster.dll.

 

Features

  • Dynamic holsters for both the player an AI officers.
  • Animations that automatically play when holstering and unholstering.
  • Intimidation mode, a feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Toggle with Right Shift Key (keyboard) or Left DPad (controller).
  • Highly configurable! Turn off animations, change keys, add new ped models for Cop Holster support, you name it.

 

Questions
Does this come with RDE support?
The RDE Cop Holster config file is in the RDE 3.1 download.

 

Does this come with EUP support?
Yes. Cop Holster comes with support for EUP 7.5.

 

How does Cop Holster work?
All ped models in GTA have what are called drawables. They are pieces of clothing or equipment that can vary between instances of that model. Many of the default cop models have two holster drawables. One is empty, and one has a pistol. Cop Holster simply changes between those two drawables depending on if you have your pistol drawn or not to give the illusion that you are taking the pistol out of the holster.   


I'm a ped model developer and would like to make my model work with Cop Holster. How would I go about doing that?

I'm having trouble where the gun will disappear from the holster when drawn, but never return when re holstered. How do I fix this?

Hi. Could you make it that the animation of taking the gun out of the belt holster is disabled when you have a shoulder holster (regular gun taking animation is played)?

Does anyone know, how to add the double action revolver ?

Normally it should be the WEP1GUN but adding this to the pistols does not work though... I guess it must be a different name...

Yes, it really is, thanks. Holstering back is a bit buggy but at least it uses the holster function and drawing it is ok, so I guess I can live with that.

please someone update this plugin for 0.4.8 because lspdfr keep crashing every time ... i love this plugin its so cool,... and can you add this for pistol and holster around the leg... thanks

I'm playing on 0.4.8 and it works perfectly fine for me. Not even a single crash. Most probably you should check other plugins or reinstall lspdfr. Update your RPH and EUP (if you have it).

Hello, idk why but when i drawn my weapon my weapon goes out my holster but when i put it back in it does not change so it just stay empty...

Hey, first of all, great stuff. It really helps emersion. Second, after I installed the pack the LAPD cops wont have any holster on them. Is there any way to fix this?

In the LSPDFR Configuration Settings (Grand Theft Auto V > lspdfr), make sure that "Ambient.DisablePlayerHolsteringActions = true". It defaults to false and conflicts with the Plugin.

The animation will remain the same, but as long as it has an empty and full version available it certainly can. You just need to edit the .xml with the correct components and drawables. Just keep in mind it doesn't actually remove the taser, it just flips model components on the fly.

Check the .xml and ensure the components and drawables for the multiplayer character are correct.

Hi! I really liked the plugin, but I am experiencing problems... The disappearance and the animation of the weapon works, and intimidation mode no. Both the standard key and the others do not respond.

um little issue when switching  to taser or long rifle the Glock doesn't get put back in holster unless switching to then putting it away 
also anyway with tasers holsters on belts also in the future i seen empty taser holsters on belts in default eup files

Do you have problem with putting gun back to holster?

When you enequip your gun, hold down the TAB key so it will unequip in slow mode. Problem should be fixed.

is this usable with Eup 8.2 and a custom Holster like a Safariland Holster?

Installed and plugin says it's loaded, Standard LSPD officer locker choice in LSPDFR doesn't have the holster, Also even with a model with the holster the gun stays in there and my Char pulls the gun as a normal GTA char would. The intimidate button also doesn't work.

 

Any ideas?
