Ambient Emergency Traffic 1.1.0

Hello and welcome to Ambient Emergency Traffic (AET)!

Ambient Emergency Traffic is a lightweight immersion plugin for LSPDFR designed to make the world of GTA V feel more alive by increasing ambient police, EMS, and fire department traffic throughout the map using GTA V’s normal AI systems.

Instead of forcing scripted events, pursuits, or crazy emergency situations everywhere, AET simply lets GTA take its natural course while adding more emergency vehicles into traffic to create a more active and realistic world during patrols.

You will now see:

• More police units patrolling the streets

• More ambulances driving throughout the city

• More fire trucks naturally moving around the map

• A world that feels more alive while on patrol

Features:

• Ambient police traffic

• Ambient EMS traffic

• Ambient fire traffic

• Full logging system

• Optional debug blips

• Fully customizable INI

• Auto-generated configuration

• Lightweight and performance friendly

• Vanilla GTA V vehicle support

Supported Vehicles:

• POLICE

• POLICE2

• POLICE3

• AMBULANCE

• FIRETRUK

Everything is fully customizable through the generated INI file, allowing you to adjust spawn settings, debug settings, cleanup settings, vehicle limits, and more.

If you ever have any problems with the logs, INI, or generated files, simply delete the AmbientEmergencyTraffic folder and reload the game and go on duty. Everything will automatically regenerate for you again.

Ambient Emergency Traffic (AET)

LSPDFR EDITION

Version 1.1.0

Created By Blood Chief

=========================================

Welcome to Ambient Emergency Traffic V1.1.0!

This update focuses heavily on immersion, realism, ambient emergency behavior improvements, world activity, emergency response logic, and expanding the overall emergency ecosystem across San Andreas.

This is one of the largest AET updates so far.

-----------------------------------------

NEW FEATURES

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Optional Zone System

Added an optional zone system allowing players to categorize emergency services into areas.

Examples:

• City Police

• County Sheriff

• Highway Patrol

Examples of use:

• LSPD in Los Santos

• Sheriff units in Blaine County

• Highway patrol units on highways

Fully optional.

Disable in INI:

EnableZoneSystem=false

Keep original AET behavior if preferred.

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Ambient Backup System

Ambient emergency units can now assist with backup requests.

Nearby ambient units may respond before default backup systems.

Supports:

• Local Police

• State Police

• Sheriff

• EMS

• Fire

If no ambient units are available:

AET automatically falls back to LSPDFR backup systems.

Creates a more connected emergency ecosystem.

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Ambient Unit Availability System

Ambient units now have active availability tracking.

Units responding to incidents become temporarily busy.

Prevents:

• Same unit responding repeatedly

• Unrealistic duplicate responses

• "Magic teleport police"

Units automatically return to service after completion.

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Time-Based Density System

Emergency traffic density can now change depending on time of day.

Examples:

Morning:

• Increased EMS activity

Rush Hour:

• Increased patrol presence

• Increased emergency visibility

Late Night:

• Increased police presence

Optional INI setting:

EnableTimeDensity=true

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Highway Density System

Added dedicated highway density multiplier.

Highways can now feel more active independently from city traffic.

Supports:

• Highway patrol immersion

• More highway emergency presence

• Better interstate realism

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Random Ambient Lighting

Ambient emergency vehicles can now occasionally operate with subtle lighting enabled.

Examples:

• Cruiser lighting

• Scene presence lighting

• Quiet emergency visibility

No constant code 3 spam.

Creates more natural emergency activity.

-----------------------------------------

[NEW] Service Spawn Cooldowns

Police, EMS, and Fire now support independent spawn timing.

Examples:

Police:

• More frequent presence

EMS:

• Moderate activity

Fire:

• More rare appearances

Creates more believable emergency traffic flow.

Thank you for the detailed feedback.

But as I said, if this problem only occurs on my end, it could be due to my other scripts or additional plugins – I don't want to rule that out.

If it helps, attached are my two settings, which I've mostly used for testing.

@Bear82

Thank you for clarifying that.

I completely agree — at this stage I don't want to assume AET is the sole cause either. Other plugins that modify traffic, emergency services, backup systems, vehicle spawning, or patrol behavior could potentially interfere with AET's spawning logic.

I appreciate you providing both configurations. The fact that you're able to reproduce the behavior across multiple settings is useful information, even if another plugin ultimately turns out to be involved.

I'll review the configurations and continue comparing them against the intended behavior, particularly:

• EnablePolice not appearing to disable police spawns
• CityPoliceVehicles appearing regardless of zone settings
• The crash occurring after going on duty with the default configuration

For now, I would also be interested in knowing which traffic, backup, patrol, or ambient-world plugins you have installed, as that may help identify a potential conflict.

Thank you again for taking the time to test and provide detailed feedback. Reports like this are extremely valuable when tracking down issues.

I'll send you everything else via private message, and if anyone else has the same problem with the cops, please let me know.
