VIEWPOINT Lite 0.9.7.3

Showcase of the Lite version: Free GTA 5 Camera Mod - VIEWPOINT Lite | Third Person and Bodycam showcase

VIEWPOINT Lite is the free version of VIEWPOINT, a camera system that adds deeply customizable, dynamic cameras to GTA V. This is a complete rebuild: rewritten from scratch on the current VIEWPOINT engine over the past year, replacing the old Lite entirely. The issues reported on previous versions (menu crash on open, minimap not restoring, camera flying skyward when aiming) are gone with the rebuild. Overlays, fonts, shaders, and UI are all rendered by the mod itself, no GTA files are modified.

CAMERAS

Bodycam - a body-mounted camera you can attach to any ped bone, then freely position and rotate to build your own rigs. Ships with 3 presets: Helmet Cam, Shoulder Cam, and Chest Cam. Works on foot and in vehicles.

Third Person - a rebuilt on-foot third person camera with procedural weapon recoil, animation-driven head bobbing, scroll zoom, and shoulder swap.

FEEL & REALISM

Head bobbing engine - driven by the ped's actual skeleton bones, not pre animated shake. Tune feel, speed response, limits, and texture, a comfort indicator warns you before a preset gets nauseating.

Procedural recoil - recoil is generated on the go, and is deeply customizable. You can override it per weapon or per weapon class (pistols, SMGs, rifles, snipers...).

Aim smoothing - configurable input smoothing and mouse acceleration while aiming, tuned per preset.

Bodycam overlay - customizable HUD overlay (logo, timestamp, text elements) you can edit in-game. Drop your custom PNG logos, and they will auto load to the list of availble in the menu.

SWITCHING & UI

Camera Wheel - hold V to open the wheel: move the mouse to pick a camera, scroll to cycle its presets. Tap V to quick-cycle cameras.

In-game menu - tap F5 for the active camera's settings, hold F5 for the main menu. A frosted-glass UI with selectable accent colors (including a dynamic mode that adapts to the scene), drag-to-reposition, and full mouse control (hold Alt to point, click and scroll).

Full controller support - navigate every menu, summon and spin the wheel, and switch cameras from the couch. Every action is rebindable on both keyboard and controller: QWERTY/AZERTY/QWERTZ layouts are auto-detected.

Built-in tutorials - non-blocking checklists teach each camera the first time you use it, plus occasional gameplay tips (both can be turned off).

PRESETS & TECH

Presets - every camera setting lives in JSON preset files that persist across Legacy and Enhanced. Clone a default, tweak it, share the file with other players.

Shaders - built-in shader effects designed for the cameras: motion blur, scanlines, film grain, vignette, chromatic aberration, dynamic borders, speed lines, and more, all tunable per preset. Both DX11 (Legacy) and DX12 (Enhanced) are supported.

Widescreen ready - UI renders correctly on 16:9, ultrawide, and super-ultrawide.

What's New in Version 0.9.7.3

Released

VIEWPOINT Lite is the free version of a major rework of ViewPointV.

It fixes countless issues that were reported by users and vastly improves customization options and the core functionality of the mod.

VIEWPOINT is now a fully standalone modification, that doesn't modify any game files. Shaders, overlay rendering, UI, everything is handled by the mod.

This version has two cameras: Bodycam and Third Person.

You can deeply configure both, and save your configs as a preset that you can quickly switch to via the camera wheel or menu.

Presets are JSON files that can be easily shared with others.

This page describes the mod in full detail, with gameplay footage: VIEWPOINT: GTA 5 Camera Mod | Entropic State

It works it just needs maybe more settings. And when using the font, it also adjusted the font on the Simple Hud plugin for me.

That is good to know since we talked about it with Venoxity, the creator of SimpleHUD, and it looks like I misunderstood him and replaced the wrong font. I will fix it

That's a W mod. It's not so needed to download the font, more like just optional. I saw one mod about Axon Bodycam, where it was just showing a camera, but it has like effect when you move or shoot, and it's like from one game. W mod.

Can the camera be positioned as in the view of a Body Camera? I love the mod

this is crap, once i switched to the head camera it was impossible for me to switch back.... would recommend this, not at this stage

This version is not supposed to have bugs. ViewPointV just has more cameras and a menu to customize them.

Can you show me your ScriptHookDotNet.log located in your GTA directory? It seems like the mod crashes for you, and this is why you can't switch back.

It seems that you didn't copy the Overlay folder into your scripts folder. The AXON logo is located inside.

This is what the path should look like: scripts\Overlay\logo.png

I suspect that others who had the problem of the camera getting stuck also didn't notice the Overlay folder.

I had a go with the ViewPointV full application (the flagship upgrade to this coooooooky broken mod) and I just have to say it's the absolute worst plugin I've ever used.  No crashes, no freezes, no BSD's, just absolute garbage gameplay.  Thank goodness I did not fall for the patreon/discord paywall.  Hugely disappointed in the suckers you got to review ViewPointV on youtube.  Total Shills looking for new viewership content, freebie sponsorships with total nonsense hype with false feedback.  It's an absolute travesty that you think people should pay for ViewPointV mod.   Not just once, but monthly for updates???????????????????????????????  Are you kidding me?  So out of touch.

For nearly the same price as an Xbox Live Membership????????????  Or price of a Ubisoft membership with access to hundreds and hundreds of multimillion dollar AAA PC games a month.  For this poorly executed camera hack??????????????   I'm the first guy who will commend the amazing coders/modders for their brilliance in what they do for the GTA community, I'm blown away by the talent out there and what has been done with the vanilla install is miraculous, the includes the heroes who coded LSPDFR itself (FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and you sir should not be allowed to post this paywall conduit onto their trusted website.  What a mess you made of the GTA cameras.

I'm not sure how you think this completely amateur, glitchy, and loosey goose camera mod helps the gameplay in any way shape or form.  It a scientific case file exhibit in poor gaming design, and a portrait example of what a game developer should NOT code.  Using the Dismemberment.asi to remove the head so we can see our decapitated body on the floor/walls via shadows??????????????????  That's the worst!!  It was even more jarring than I imagined seeing my headless corpse running around and was immediately reminded of how hackjob this really is.  Took me right out of any immersion.  All game controller accuracy, control movement tightness, and character animation smoothness went out the door removing any ounce of aiming with intent and or REALTIME tactical gunplay accuracy in combat with this plugin.  RB stick to cover, popout aiming combat while in your Ruslan views is the stuff of train wreck legends.

Fighting the ridiculous camera angles instead of the enemies every time the action went to any "stars" level.  The jarring frame drops/snap to cam view between aim shoulder sighting and third person running are embarrassing, your bouncy tiny white ball of an unstable jittery "reticle" flying all over the screen, with the reticle not even matching with the actual visual alignment of the muzzle, iron sights or scopes.  You completely mucked up shooting cops from behind you in a vehicle chase which Rockstar nailed already.  Some whacky approximation of where a bullet might hit with your dot targeting system is the most inaccurate hack job thing I've ever seen in a shooter.  EVER.  The 1st person vehicle view steering position even managed to mess that up as turning an intersection corner left or right forces the driver to look straight ahead (car moves right, heads stays straight to the left), preventing us to see around the corner without really fighting the sticks.  The only view that's acceptable is the long view cinematic car chase cam - good on you, but that's the ONLY ONE.  Downloaders, be advised the available Dynamic Vehicle 1.2 mod from IKT (which is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for everyone) - Does 1st person driving better than Ruslan's by a GaZillion miles - ZERO COST / ZERO SCAM, and it's full on AWESOME.

Ruslan, you should be embarrassed that not only did you release such a completely visually glitchy mod, but that you have the audacity to knowingly rip people off with your paywall monthly membership scam.  You do the modder community a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE disservice thinking this poorly designed add-on was worth even a penny $, a pay to play trend in modding I hope to see exterminated completely.  Killing the freedom fighter rebellious modder culture with this pay to play bull-crap (ViewPointV) for an absolute trash mod is an insult to ALL of us.  I'm, reverting my GTAV installation to a clean new install from scratch to redo all my plugins just to cleanse the Nvidia 4090 of ViewPointV's laughable code.  Take this "demo" mod down please!   My review is the real deal folks, be forewarned.
