Yeah apparently it's a problem with the archive file and winrar. They don't get along.

Try using 7zip or disable your anti virus while you download the exe. See the thread for more info

Run the diagnostics tool as administrator. It should give you an opttion to view more information. Post that here.

There's a folder called IVDashCam that also has to go in your scripts folder for it to work.

Except if you did that, you won't have the taser.

So you can't open gta IV? It's probably a problem with the asi loader or the game verison that you have installed but posting a diagnostic log will help us. For the future, it's Alt P, not Ctrl P, once you are ingame to activate the mod.

Why do you think it's the indicator script crashing your game?

Try posting some other error-crash reporting info. Such as lcpdfrerrorlogging.txt, scripthook.log, scripthookdotnet.log They might tell us what is crashing.

Very keen to see v2, I'll hit this thread back with my feedback edit: okay I had a quick play with V2, while i was standing and driving slowly and while i was in a pursuit and I had no problems. The only thing is that placing it while on foot is a bit awkward, you're not sure where it will go.

Making the textures for the lightbar as empty transparent images will work, but only if the lighbar texture isn't mapped to any of the default resource textures. Give it a go though.

First of all you should finish the first few missions before you try playing the mod. At least finish the first one. Dsound should be more stable than xliveless. Just make sure you only have one installed at a time and not both. Also you need to post a diagnostic log using the G17 Diagnostics Tool so we can provide any further help.

Some of those features (the trunk search for sure) are not available in the 0.91 version.

All police lights are non-els but if you want to get the most out of the traffic advisor bar (the extra yellow lights in the back window) you'll need a mod that lets you control the indicators like the Strobes mod or the Indicator script. I appreciate all your feedback. Thanks guys

It's probably about $20 for a copy these days but there are some recommendations to make the best purchase: I'd recommend getting the Episodes from Liberty City copy. I believe it's what most of the developers use to test the mod on so it should give the best experienced. I strongly advise against buying a digital copy from Gamestop. It installs in a /2k games/ folder and rarely seems to work for no apparent reason.

Vapid Police Cruiser Slicktop by Ekalb Version 1.0 This is my first publicly released vehicle mod so any feedback is greatly appreciated. What I have done here is remove the original lightbar from the vehicle, add lights in the rear dash and onto the pushrod as well as add a traffic advisor bar that is attached to the vehicles indicator system. The vehicle supports 4 liveries including a blank livery that will allow it to spawn as both a marked and an unmarked police car all in the one vehicle slot. It's a perfect replacement for the original police car as doing so will allow both marked and now unmarked police cars to patrol liberty city. As it is a modification of an original car it should also fit well in your game world. Inside the download file is a comprehensive readme that will cover installation, handling settings (same as the original vehicle), carcols settings to have some variation in the unmarked car as well as instructions on mod support. The diagnostics tool should still run if you are running as administrator. Either way, few people have had any luck with LCPDFR and the 2k Games copy. Most people who have it have found that buying the game again from somewhere else was the only solution to running the mod. I don't know why but that version always has problems with either mods in general or this mod specifically.

Can the rest of your computer handle the graphics card? What power supply do you have? Do you have any idea what temperature it is getting? Something could be overheating. Either way, this isn't lcpdfr related or gta related.

As long as your game is patched up to date that video should be the only things you need to do. You are definitely installing the mod into your EFLC directory? And you are definitely right clicking the installing and selecting 'Run as Administrator'? And you have definitely made all the files in your GTA directory so they aren't read-only?
