I've come to the decision that I'll release two versions of the Buffalo, the same as I did with the Vincent. One will be just a regular police version with 2 extra parts to alternate between lightbar+pushbar or slicktop. The other will be the Buffalo 'Interceptor' that I've been requested to make which has at the moment a wrap-around pushbar, a whelen edge, a prisoner divider and rear deck lights. The Interceptor version is progressing very well.

Quality thread, you could not have been more informative than posting a tiny screenshot and no other details of the problem. Actually tell us what the error message says, then post a diagnostic log. The part that it tells you in the error message that there are too many of. And pretty much any part in the hierarchy with the same name as another part has to be deleted or renamed. From your screenshot though I really don't see the car working well ingame in its current state.

The issue with both of those is I don't think they'll look good with only four lights. I'm working on a version of the buffalo by request that has a Go Rhino pushbar, Whelen Edge lightbar and rear deck lights. I've put a picture in the original post. Two have the two rear deck lights in that variant I've had to only have six on the lightbar. It doesn't look too bad with six but I think four is too few for that lightbar. I could use the federal signal streethawk again, it can look alright with four lights.

Wait why is your hierarchy so small? Did you delete lots of things from the crown vic model you downloaded? That's not going to work ingame at all... Unless they're all inside the chassis that isn't expanded Also it means you have two parts with the same name, you need to delete one of them.

Make sure all the vehicle's textures (all the images inside the .wtd file, as well as any textures that came with the lightbar AND all the vehshare textures) are in the same folder as the .z3d and .wft file you are working on for starters. Expand that last error message with the + icon to see what it says.

Look for lightbars on GTA Police Mods under development support or pull them off other vehicles that have been provided open and unlocked to the modding community. Just import it into the vehicle you are working on then it doesn't really matter what you attach it to as far as I know, you don't really need to attach it to anything. Just put it into the hierarchy and make sure the textures for it are present.

You should press Alt-P to activate the mod. Ctrl-P forces you to go on duty and is a debug feature. You need to press shift in a police car while behind another car to do a traffic stop. Also make sure you are using version 0.95rc2r2 if you want all the most recent features. Make sure you are running the game as administrator. You have most likely downloaded ELS cars without ELS. ELS is the Emergency Lighting System mod. Some cars use that mod for their lighting systems rather than the default one. The current version of ELS is v6. You need to do some careful reading of things in future.

Garry's mod is just a creative sandbox type mod for the source engine (the engine that half-life 2, counter-strike source, portal, team fortress 2 etc. run on).

Try reinstalling it or installing 0.95rc2 instead. Ensure you run the installer as administrator and that none of the files/folders inside your gta folders are read only.

Does your game work if you delete all the mod files? (inside your scripts folder)

Well you've only got about 5 days until the Steam Summer Sale ends and there's some really good games going cheap at the moment so if you want to capitalise on that you'll need to get on it right away.

If you are a PC gamer and you don't use Steam you're in trouble.

I don't think hardcore mode disables the ai police 'blips'. They should appear unless you've installed the no police blips mod.

If you use OpenIV rather than SparkIV I believe it will let you add files. Just be aware though that all the other files you had to add for that other car (carcols, handling, vehicles.ide, etc.) will all have to be added for the new vehicle.

You can add another one the same way if that's what you did before. You can have police3, police4 and policeb.

Callouts are more-or-less location dependent. Moving around the map should give you a bigger variety. Pressing Alt-F11 is a debug feature that you can currently use to force a callout to occur. I believe when callouts go code 4 it is a failsafe feature when the callout failed to initiate properly (possibly due to resource limitations). Don't be concerned with it unless it happens all the time. Ensure you are running as administrator too just to be sure.

Where do you mean? It could have been a shots fired/shootout call that you didn't attend. All you should really have to do is get far enough away and they should de-spawn. If not, you could try the vdh Towing mod and order a towtruck to take them away, or just drive them off the road yourself.
