Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
The general duties police variant of the Buffalo I'm working on the moment will have a red/blue MX7000 but one with the original vector-style lightbar wouldn't be too hard of a task in the future. If you can try your hand at making a default LCPD-style livery that'd be really great. I've been trying to do so recently but I can't get the line decals to look correct. Partly due to the fact I'm not using photoshop for the textures and partly due to the slightly awkward shape of the Buffalo side panels.

That's actually quite an interesting take on the NOOSE PIA skin there DLer. One thing I don't really like about the original Patriotism & Immigration Authority decals is how they take up a huge space of the side of the vehicle with uninteresting, ugly, serif text. Yours look a lot slicker though, keep it up.

How to save your savegame on your computer(Not Windows Live)
Your save files are always saved to your computer. If you don't use xliveless they are in AppDataLocalRockstar Games. I'm not sure how swapping them in and out of there will work but that is where they are.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
Great to see these skins coming out, they really weren't one of my strengths for the Buffalo, I stuck with making relatively simple ones. I threw together a version of the vapid cruiser with a Whelen Liberty Non-ELS Lightbar by request: I don't think it's substantial enough to go up in the DL section here but here's a 4Shared link if anyone is interested: http://www.4shared.c...y_by_EKALB.html I'm working on the regular police version of the Buffalo now with alternating light setups. It looks like the MX7000 will be the best lightbar I can get my hands on that will use 4 lights well. Still my concern remains that it'll end up being very similar to the Buffalo that LtCaine did a long time back so I'm doing my best to keep things different. When it spawns as a slicktop it will very closely resemble the FIB Buffalo from the outside. On the inside however it will have a police computer, the prisoner cage, the traffic advisor bar and the spotlight.

LCPDFR key codes clashes and modding.
You can also disable keybindings through the ingame trainer menu. I'm not sure on the specifics. Or you could just remove the trainer.

LCPDFR key codes clashes and modding.
You need to disable the keybindings/shortcuts in Simple Native Trainer to make it stop spawning things when you press keys for LCPDFR. Follow what's said in this thread:

Bravado Buffalo Police Interceptor by Ekalb
@Yard - FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--- good point, changed it on the download page documentation but I won't bother updating the file itself unless there are other changes to make. @The Loot - really? That hasn't happened on my versions. Is this happening for anyone else?

Breathalyser Script (plus Traffic Management)
Just saw the changelog for the new version - so we can now essentially stop a line of cars, breath test and let them go individually OR if one runs we can just dismiss everyone at once so we can chase the runner? Cool as.

Bravado Buffalo Police Interceptor by Ekalb Version 1.0 Renewal of the contract between the state of Liberty and the car manufacturer Bravado saw the addition of two new models from the Buffalo class of sedans to state and local level law enforcement agencies. The first of these models is the Buffalo Police Interceptor, designed specifically for the controlled and effective delivery of law enforcement during dangerous, high speed pursuits. Featuring three different pushbar configurations including a full-wrap around bar as well as a more extensive police equipment allocation than its older, unmarked counterpart, the Bravado Buffalo Police Interceptor is ideal for law enforcement at the highest level. The National Office of Security Enforcement, as part of the establishment of its new road transport enforcement division, added a number of these vehicles to its fleet. Allocations were also made to local Liberty City police departments to compliment the Police Stinger in their approaches to speed enforcement. The vehicle remains relatively low in file size meaning it shouldn't cause as much of a strain on games or systems as other modded vehicles well, and the fact that it is a modified default vehicle should allow it to fit well into your game world. The model is provided in open and unlocked format in order to encourage members of the modding community. If you wish to share liveries of this vehicle, a template is provided. However if you wish to share modified versions of the vehicle files themselves, fair credit to all contributed authors, myself included, is expected. As I continue to hopefully improve my skills in gta vehicle modding, any feedback is appreciated. A thanks must go out to those who helped beta test and resolve some issues during this car's development. CREDITS Original Bravado Buffalo FBI by Rockstar Games Whelen Edge lightbar created by KevinDV, modified to non-ELS by Sam, further modification by Ekalb Go Rhino Charger style wrap-around pushbar provided in open, unlocked format by Bxbugs123, further modification by Ekalb UV-Mapping, attachment and modification of other police equipment, liveries and all other modification by Ekalb Substantial creative input from EscobarJP Thanks must go out again to Corleone for his excellent UV-mapping tutorial.- 11 comments

Encounters with the Police
Interesting, what were they charging the guy with? Just drink-driving or could they connect other related offences? I've done a bit of work with police on undercover shoplifting blitzes, that's been pretty fun. I've also had officers/ex-officers and civilians working in police organisations as lecturers at uni. Aside from that though my only other interaction really has just been RBTs.

I have a question
I'll say it again since apparently the point didn't make it across. A filled box is not a ticked box. If you turn of read only protection at a folder level, and you can see that the files inside have lost their write-protection then it has worked. Just because the box at the folder level is now filled (rather than ticked) it doesn't mean it's not working. The filled box either indicates some (hidden) files are read-only or that's just the way it is.

I have a question
There's a difference between a ticked box and a filled box. As long as all the files are unticked, the fact the box is still filled isn't really an issue.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
And after some challenges, the Interceptor is ready for release! Thanks to Intensified for his help, those who beta tested it and to Escobar who provided most of the ideas; Edit: aaaaaaaand trouble uploading, 'file too large' error (it's only 3MB). I'll look at it tomorrow and maybe I'll try a different archive format (just .zip maybe) but I need to hit the hay now, early start at uni tomorrow. Those with the latest beta test version - that is essentially the same version I'm releasing it just doesn't have an aerial or pretty pictures included.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
I've made some changes to the vehicle's hierarchy on Intensified's advice and it seems to be working now. I'll update the file for anyone testing. SultanGT - I'm currently working on a request to put a non-els Whelen Liberty on the Vapid. It requires all 8 lights to look any good though. There are only two lightbars that I really have access to that will look good with 4 non-els lights and they are the FS Streethawk and the Mx7000. Just give me some more details of what you'd like to see and I'll add it to the list of projects and see if I can get to it.

I can't tell if it's just an import failure in OpenIV where I'm either not rebuilding the acrhive afterwards or I'm rebuilding it too much. The best way I can describe it is that one of two things happen; either the bodyshell mesh and some other parts like the wheels don't display at all ingame OR the textures all just go nuts and violently stretch across the screen whenever I'm looking at the vehicle. I hope it's just a dodgy import through OpenIV though.

Holster Tazer
If you want it to still show while you have other guns out go to your GTA IV game folder > scripts> firstresponse.ini (open with notepad) and change showholsteredtaseronplayer to true

Arm glitch when numpad 0 is pressed "Weapon|Copanims = NumPad0"
It's a feature still in the game, pressing numpad 0 will change the way the gun is held. Usually it will make you hold it up with your arm bent.

Multi License plates
All that pack does is make the liberty city license plate to another license plate. They are still all the same. The OP wants all cars to have different ones. As Iconography said, the only real way to have different license plates on vehicles is to add custom ones that have them.

[REQ] Gotham City PD Texture
I'm almost certain I can remember a thread about someone making GPD vehicle textures either here or on GPM. I'll do a quick search to see if I can dig it back up. http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1512 http://gtapolicemods.com/showthread.php?9958-SUGGESTION-Gotham-City-PD-CVPI-(The-Dark-Knight-and-The-Dark-Knight-Rises)
