{REQ} 2011 Toyota Camry POV
Hm it looks like there's nothing you can do other than leave comments and hope they get seen. That sucks.

{REQ} 2011 Toyota Camry POV
http://www.gta4-mods.com/vehicles/2007-toyota-camry-xv40-f12679 http://www.gta4-mods.com/vehicles/toyota-camry-f3520 They're not 2011 though but I don't think they'd be too different. If you could get in contact with the author and get a hold of the unlocked files I'd definitely make police versions of them.

There's two or three camry models out there but none are unlocked unfourtunately. Perhaps you could try getting in touch with the authors?

Windows Template in .WTD?
Use sparkIV or openIV (you need to have it in the vehicles.img archive first) Depending on what vehicle it is, it might use the window textures in the vehshare wtd file.

Best Police Chase I've Ever Seen
Shit, all those parked cars, relatively narrow residential streets and the level rail crossings here and there? I would not be keen to give that a go any day. I love how the suspect still uses his indicators correctly throughout the pursuit. I guess he didn't want to add 'fail to signal' to his rap sheet?

Making Negative copy of .PNG for zmodeler model
Try downloading this http://ssbump-generator.yolasite.com/download.php or finding another other normal map generators to do the same. Essentially all you need to do is load in the image you have and then press generate. There are tutorials on that website too to use that specific one.

Making Negative copy of .PNG for zmodeler model
I don't think you understand the words you are saying. You have the 'properly coloured' texture image and you want to make the 'purple' one?

Making Negative copy of .PNG for zmodeler model
By 'negative copy' do you mean the normal map or the specular map? If it's just the specular one, all you'd have to do is convert the coloured texture to black and white. If you want the normal map you should be able to download some relatively simple to use bumpmap/normalmap generators that will take the coloured texture and generate the normal map for you.

Alderney State Police Livery Pack
Very cool, nice and simple but I'm a bit worried about the readability of the yellow text on the white base.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
Be patient. That's a project that is already well underway. Pretty much I can have indicator_lr, indicator_rr, indicator_lf and indicator_rf and have any mesh attached to them. I tried to see if the game would recognise indicator_m but it didn't. With the current LED message board I have, the part attached to the left indicator says 'LCPD' and the part attached to the right indicator says 'RBT >' so that acting them individually still makes sense and activating them together works well too. I'll post some screenshots up when I get a chance. The challenge here though is finding patterns that will work like that. Although it would be easy to make just one word go across the entire message board (like 'CAUTION') the problem is that it wouldn't look very good if activated only one side at a time (it might say CAU when you have the left indicator only activated). This is less of a problem if I use symbols (so I might have arrows going either way for example) but finding word combinations required a bit more creativity. As for the other projects, we'll see. Hopefully I should get some more things up over the next few weeks.

Bravado Buffalo Slicktop/MX7000 by Ekalb
Not to my knowledge. You could do it by editing the vehicles.ide and renaming that extra as extra_5 and using the taxilight function but instead of doing any of that you'd be better off just importing the vehicle into Zmodeler and deleting the lightbar extra.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
I'll be trying to release the lightbar I've been working on with the non-els messageboard, probably just on it's own in the development section here rather than on a vehicle, or maybe both, and then I'll consider doing the slicktop/mx7000 setup for the Vapid if there's interest. I don't think the game will spawn more than four liveries. I've never tried it myself but I'd find it hard to believe if for all these years the modding community had just settled on four as an arbitrary number of liveries with no one trying to use more. I'd love to be wrong though. Although I agree with you to a limited extent about how it looks a bit awkward when some of the indicator-mapped traffic advisor bars are used just by AI using their indicators, I think the benefits that we can get from the added functionality they provide (with other mods) outweighs that. Depending on what pattern (texture) I have installed on the vehicle I'm using, I may use the strobes mod during a pursuit so the traffic advisor bar is flashing as a caution to other drivers, or I may use the indicator mod during a traffic stop to display a flashing arrow for other traffic to go around, or use the hazard lights feature so the entire bar is flashing to cordon off an area (see this video for what uses they can have: ). I can see indicator-mapped traffic bars as providing something to non-els users that would have typically been exclusive to ELS users, and hopefully the lightbar I've just about finished will give more of that extra functionality and enhanced experience.

Bravado Buffalo Slicktop/MX7000 by Ekalb

- Version 1.0
Another addition to my Buffalo series! This one comes with alternating lighting setups using the extra components feature. This means that sometimes the vehicle will spawn with extra1 (a Code 3 MX7000 lightbar) or extra2 (slicktop with grill and rear deck lights). What this hopefully means is that you can have marked and unmarked cars spawning from the same slot if you use fully marked and unmarked liveries. It's important to state that this vehicle has become very similar to one that Lt. Caine made back in 2009, his NLSP Buffalo (http://gtapolicemods...hp?do=file&id=1). My mod does not use any of Lt. Caine's content and I did not make it in an attempt to plagiarise what he had done. I created it based on what suggestions community members made and it has just happened to end up relatively similar. I hope I have tried to deliver something slightly different though and I do believe Lt.Caine/Luxart Modifications deserve substantial credit for his contributions to the modding community. I continue to learn new things about modelling and for this project what I had to deal with a lot was collision setup. Due to a bug that I couldn't resolve the mx7000 lightbar unfourtunately has no collission, but on the plus side the collision for the rest of the vehicle should be working perfectly. I've also figured out how to fix an issue which I believe has plagued many of my cars in that you couldn't shoot any of the vehicle's occupants through the glass. With this Buffalo, that should be possible - so enjoy! The vehicle remains relatively low in file size meaning it shouldn't cause as much of a strain on games or systems as other modded vehicles well, and the fact that it is a modified default vehicle should allow it to fit well into your game world. The model is provided in open and unlocked format in order to encourage members of the modding community. If you wish to share liveries of this vehicle, a template is provided. However if you wish to share modified versions of the vehicle files themselves, fair credit to all contributed authors, myself included, is expected. I did not distribute this to a test group but I believe it is more or less bug free but if you do identify any issues, please post them here or in my modding thread and I'll work on a resolution. some noob q's
You can also call 911 on the mobile phone to call any emergency services and they will respond the same way as if you had used the backup keys in LCPDFR (Alt+B for police, Ctrl+M for ambulance, Ctrl(?)+F for firefighter). A third method is to press E when in a police car (when you're on duty in LCPDFR) and use the LCPDFR computer, go into the Request Menu and then pick what you want.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
Okay I fixed most of the collision issues that were holding the S/M Buffalo and the S/M Cruiser back (can't get any type of collisison mesh to work for the lightbar unfourtunately), hopefully I'll have at least the Buffalo up over the weekend and the Cruiser up before the end of next week. Edit: Slicktop/Mx7000 Buffalo is now available As always, please let me know if there any issues that need to be resolved. If there is anything immediate (I'm pretty sure I included all the files in the download package this time ) I'll be asleep for another 9 hours or so, so you'll have to tough it out until then.

How do i change a civilan car into a cop car?
You'd need Zmodeler 2 and a basic familiarity with it. It wouldn't be a difficult job, perhaps another modder could do it for you if they are free. All it would really involve would be extracting the Sultan RS and perhaps the FBI Buffalo from the game, importing both into zModeler, removing the lights from the FBI car and placing them onto the Sultan, delete what's left of the Buffalo and then export.

Ekalb's Thread of Unimpressive Mods
I'm currently having a collision issue with the glass on the S/M Buffalo. See this pic: I've shot where the reticule is but the bullet impact appears on the lower side of the glass (where it is showing). If I shoot elsewhere on the glass it doesn't make an impact at all, unless it's right near the top. I've got a few suggestions to try and I might see if just replacing all the glass with the right files from the original will fix it. Do any other modders have any other suggestions? While I've been trying to fix this issue I've also been making this lightbar, including the LED message board on the back (which works with indicators like my other traffic advisors!): See my gallery for pics.
