  1. Wow that was amazing, changed my life.
  2. Pretty sure you can arrest them, just not traffic stop them when they are driving stolen cars (same with wanted persons in Braveheart's policing script).
  3. Yes. I've had peds pickpocket me while being arrested and I've had someone steal my police car once. LCPDFR and those other mods can't interact with each other so some funny things do happen and you can't initiate a traffic stop with the vehicle thieves.
  4. Yes, and there will be key conflicts if you don't reset them. Also, the first person mod may be of interest to you. There are also a few scripts out there to make more crimes happen in the world, such as the abandoned vehicle cleanup (vehicle thefts) mod and the criminal acts script that makes various things happen (people pickpocket you and steal your car, sometimes very annoying).
  5. Strobes is good really for non-els users to make police responding a bit more interesting. Basically it is highly customisable and allows you to set the headlights and the indicators to flash (not wig-wag but strobe as you'll see some police cars do irl). I tend to only strobe the indicators though, sometimes strobing the headlights is a bit much.

  8. It is not an ELS car and you should not have ELS enabled for it. Open the ELS.ini file and turn active = 1 for police2 to active = 0
  9. Install it like any other vehicle mod. You will need to download and install sparkIV or OpenIV
  10. Definitely non-els, it may just be the look of my corona textures and my ENB. I'm yet to dabble into ELS and at this stage i'm still refraining from doing so. Thanks for your comments.

A brand new Police Buffalo mod to resemble the Los Santos Police Department and surrounding law enforcement agencies in San Andreas. I created this with LAPD Dodge Chargers in mind, as well as the LSPD as seen in the trailer for GTA V. I've made all of the liveries, including the custom logos for Bone County Sheriff's Office and San Andreas Highway Patrol (resembling LA County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol) as well as a black and white livery for the LCPD. This vehicle uses the 'extras' feature to spawn with different pushbar setups. As it is a modification of one of the default Rockstar vehicles it should be relatively low in file size as well as fit in well to your game world. The files are provided in open and unlocked format to encourage the modding community. The fantastic parts by f5544 have also been released by him as development resources for modders. This vehicle took a lot of time to get into a state that I was happy to release it in. I'm prepared for there to be a minor collission bug but it should not affect gameplay nor really be noticeable. Please provide any feedback here on this page or in my download topic on this forum (). 11. Okay so the LSPD Buffalo is finished, all I need to do is finalise a new set of liverys for it (Los Santos PD in LAPD style, Bone County Sheriff in LACSO style, San Andreas Highway Patorl in CHP style and a more simple LCPD black and white livery). The only thing I need to decide on for the Vincents is the size of the lightbar. Here it is at the moment: I'm worried that the lightbar is slightly too big (probably both in length and in height).. I think it's bigger than what I had on the first version. If you agree I'd have to resize it but that wouldn't take too long. What do you think? Little teaser: San Andreas Highway Patrol livery for my up and coming LSPD Buffalo: Progress Model: Complete Liveries: San Andreas Highway Patrol Complete Los Santos Police Department Work in Progress Bone County Sheriff's Office Complete LCPD Black & White Work in Progress
  12. Aha! Good news! I've figured out what was holding up the Vincents from being ready to go so version 2.0 of the Police Vincent slicktop and the Police Vincent Streethawk will be released over the weekend. Hopefully I've also figured out the problem that I'm experiencing with the Buffalo too. Fingers crossed. e: and it seems the Buffalo is now progressing again too.
  13. Ah sorry :( Still hitting the wall with the modded parts I'm using on the Buffalo and I've gotten some advice from f5544 and we're still stuck unfourtunately. I can probably make some compromises and be able to release something that's still decent so that's what I'll aim to do. I've just had a commitment from last week that finished yesterday so now I'm free again. I have been doing some gta related stuff in that time though but that was just some vehicle textures for another community. Hopefully next week will be productive for me and I'll get my shit together.
  14. Ah I for some reason came to believe that a car had to be stopped by you in a traffic stop to be searched (which confused me because LCPDFR and the K9 script obviously can't communicate). I also hadn't yet experienced the passive searching. That's excellent. As I own both games I just grabbed sounds from the ambient sound packs and used them to replace yours. They do sound better ingame but I don't believe I should release it, as that would be giving content out to people from a game that I had myself paid for, when they potentially hadn't. My only issue really with the sounds provided were that they were fairly loud and there seemed to be some additional noise to them. Not a major issue though.
  15. Just thought I'd say it works absolutely perfectly for me. I have however replaced the sound files you included with some from Max Payne 3 as they're of a higher quality but that is no big issue, you most likely only included whatever dog sound effects that you could get ahold of for free. I would like the ability for the dog to sniff peds and perhaps stationary cars too. I guess this could be done in two ways, either by intentionally targetting a specific ped/one that you have stopped, or by going close to a specific car you could order to the dog to search them. Alternatively, perhaps you could set the dog to 'sniff mode' where you could just walk him through a crowd, with a random chance he would then target one of those peds with a specific reaction. (with a message displaying that the dog had a positive reaction to the presence of drugs/gunpowder/explosive residue etc.) All in all it is working fine and there's just that one little extra feature I'd like to see.
  16. The idea with the script is that you would do what you would do if you were an actual police office arriving at the scene of those calls. The mod works best if you use it in conjunction with not only the LCPDFR functions but with other mods, like for example the Police Helper and the recently released coroner mod. If you get a call about a person with a knife and the target does not have one, you should check him for ID, search him etc. If you get called to a scene where there's an injured person you may want to try CPR, then ask them for ID, or if they are dead you might want to call the coroner. Arriving at a traffic accident you should first attempt to remove any dangers to those involved as well as speak to them. This might involve stopping traffic around the scene, deploying barriers or road cones if you have the police helper mod, asking the occupants/forcing them to leave their vehicles if they haven't already, then asking for ID (make sure they have a license) and breathtesting them. If you discover any offences here you might want to arrest them or simply arrest them as if you were taking them back to the station for questioning. If you have the tow mod, you might want to tow the vehicles involved away and then re-open the roads. If you have a shots fired call you might want to radio for backup to meet you at the scene (place a GPS marker on your map at the scene then press alt-B/alt-N and they should meet you there), and then commence the firefight with the suspects. Once you believe you have dealt with any incident sufficiently, you can close the call by pressing alt-del. I do not believe the mod is designed to hold your hand and give you a step by step procedure for each scene, and I think it was created this way deliberately. One potential reason for this is that the events are randomised and can become so different. The other major reason of course is that it allows you to roleplay as the first responding officers and make decisions as if you were them. (get it? LCPD: First Response)

This mod allows you to deploy your own spike strips, and I think another user here is working on a different mod that will make police set up spike strips too.
  18. What does it look like if you don't install the dog ped model? Just a superhuman police partner?
  19. It depends on what has already been done to the vehicle. If it hasn't been UV-mapped for a template before, then you'd have to do the whole thing (and you'd need an unlocked model).
  20. Give this thread a read through Alternatively, lower your Display settings in game to free up the video card memory and things should go smoother.
  21. Unfourtunately the issue I described earlier which I've been thinking is related to collisions is still holding pretty much all of my projects up. The only thing that is finished is the updated slicktop Vincent and that's because it has no additional parts that need collisions. I have most of this week off so I should be able to keep working. Also f5544: That's a shame man, but we do really appreciate all the great projects you have put out as well as all the really useful dev resources you've made and released.
