Franklin has the option in his closet for "ties" but I can't seem to find any in the stores. I went into Parnsbys(sp?) - the fancy clothes store and saw ties hanging on the wall in the corner but was unable to buy them. Anyone know of a location with ties? I'm assuming all the clothes stores carry the same items?

Yea I was able to find a truck/boat/trailer and I tried to re-attach it once off the trailer and it doesn't work. Just smashes the boat up

Yeah try reverting back to the setup that you know worked for you and try it again. Once you get a working setup then make a copy of your entire GTA IV folder for a backup. it will take 10-20 minutes but is well worth the time if something goes wrong again. Then you dont have to re-install the entire game and redo all your mods again or try and figure out what the problem mod is. Make a copy every month or so, depending on how much you update your mods that way you always have a recent build. Another tip: when your installing mods, install them one at a time and test them in game. That way if there is a problem you'll know exactly what mod it is. I was under the impression and I think everyone else was too that you couldn't get the game to work at all. Now with the updated info that it worked and then didn't after the install of mods, it would be almost impossible for anyone to tell you what the issue is even over teamviewer. Plus your diagnostic report is flawless so chances are its just a bunk mod

has already released an unlocked x2100, we do not need the same for the Tomar blade. I know he hasnt said anything, but if we couldn't persuade one person with 51 comments saying don't, how are we meant to prevent it from happening? @ OP. Pls mate, if you do "edit" a lightbar into a x2100 or tomar blade, don't release it unlocked. Use it on you're own car mods. True, but that bar was a epic failure IMO. Something isn't right when everyone wants the x2100 and one gets released and only has 81 downloads I've had more than 81 requests for mine lol. He talked that bar up, attacked me in a thread and said it was going to be the most accurate x2100 available, well something obviously went wrong. Anyway - back on topic, yea he never mentioned anything about releasing it unlocked if he even manages to make it. Which would probably be a long time anyway so you shouldn't worry about it to much yet. Like XBR said, things are jumping way to far ahead.

Yea you can't really just take any lightbar, edit it and expect it to look like the bars you mentioned. There are some that are out there that are close but it won't look like the real thing unless you do extensive editing/remodeling. @ HOffers - nothing you can do about it. I've got the Tomar Blade too that I made and I would hate to see it released unlocked. Same thing for the x2100. We don't even know if he's releasing it unlocked either

Trial and error is the best way. That way you figure it out and you learn something so you can do it again next time. Having people help you or do it for you gets you no where. What happens when you want another bar or another part? Then you have to ask someone again because you didn't learn anything. Yea its going to be hard at first but expecting someone to just type up a quick guide on how to make a lightbar isn't possible, its to hard to type up guides for this stuff. Its easier to answer specific questions about stuff, problems you might encounter along the way and your more likely to get a reply to those questions than something like this thread. Also - if you haven't made anything else from scratch, trying to make a lightbar from scratch will be very very hard for you. If you haven't made anything before you should start small and figure out the tools and learn your way around zmodeler or 3DS. Make some interior equipment or small simple things. I know you probably just want to make the lightbar but take my word that if you practice by making other smaller things first, the lightbar will be easier when the time comes. Just jumping into a complex lightbar with no zmodeler knowledge you'd be putting yourself into a stressful project... Just my advice about that Just out of curiosity, what lightbar do you want to make?

Yea I knew about the ability to attach/detach the trailers but I was talking about retrieving a boat from the water back onto a trailer. Seems like you can't from what you guys have said. I was able to locate the trailer on the beach and tried to load the boat onto it and it didn't work. I think the boat was to big for that trailer but it didn't even seem like it would work even with the correct boat. Still have yet to find a boat on the trailer to try launching it though. Thanks guys!

So I've seen trucks pulling boats on trailers and trucks pulling just trailers but I haven't been successful in stealing one yet to try it out and see if you can launch/recover a boat into the water and back onto the trailer. Has anyone attempted this? Anyone know where boat trailers spawn to be hooked up to besides them just spawning on cars? If they even do spawn in the world by themselves...

You need to get a hold of someone willing to teamview you and then set up a time for them to try and help you. You should make sure you try all the suggested things in the support forum and run the diagnostic tool to make sure you have everything. The meeting thing isn't that big of deal, dont worry. Were just discussing it among ourselves :) I agree 110% cp702 - people are not the same online in real life (not everyone at least). You can't really "know" a person until you meet them and have that contact in person. Thats just my thoughts on it. People act differently online, I use to play online with a buddy who I was friends with for years prior to us doing online gaming and he was different online than if we were together in person

Yea I would just say team viewer is your best bet and works great. Its fine if you want to meet in person but your also meeting some random person, granted its in a public place but you never know. They drop something in your coffee and next thing you know your back in their house getting your "hard drive" reformatted. If I was going to meet someone I would only do it with a well known member of the community but that still doesn't mean your 100% safe but I'd feel more comfortable than meeting a person with 5 posts.

Or they make it easy and just post them on major sites like IGN which is where the codes are now So you can find them in 30 seconds after a google search

Its the exact same setup regardless if you made the lightbar or someone else did. Make a copy of it and rename it with L1 on the end like Forward explained. Just a tip, for the L1's remove any small details to save polys and keep the size as low as possible. You don't need to see screws or small details for the L1's because your going to be at a distance where that stuff isn't necessary.

ok, so like I said, open the ELS folder in the main directory. Find the car you want to modify, it might just be default_config if you haven't set anything up. open that, scroll down and find EXTRA_1 = red and just make 1,2 red and 3,4 blue, 5,6 white, 7-9, amber

XBR is right, either make them or make them from something else. Hint hint: take Trauma's Whelen 600 series and tweak it. With mild skills you could make that pushbar light though
