Even though I am not a "killboard" whore / fanatic, I do find in this game the crime statistics are a nice touch. Kinda like a permanent career record for all officers. The leaderboard is obviously an "All Time" record, and as such is the most important. But as an idea was wondering how hard it would be, or if it would use too much resoures to have a monthly sub leaderboard. ie: leaderboard stats for that particular month. Could even have "officer of the month" award that notes that status on a forum members profile. But tbh not too bothered about that aspect. This mod has been around a while, and new members are arriving daily. The "All Time" leaderboard I guess is stats gathered from all the way back through previous versions of the mod. Some names on the leaderboard I rarely see these days. A stats for this month, or rather month just gone gives new members an idea of how they are performing against others who are playing at the present time. It also reveals playing trends. ie: when a new version comes out does that month show an increase in officers killed or citaions issued etc. A monthly sub board also gives a chance for all members, vets and newbies to compete in a fair way. ie: no one is ever gonna beat the pursuit numbers for the main leaderboard no matter what they do as that stat no longer records. Mainly though the this month leaderboard idea is purely for fun, and to give newer players (such as myself) a level playing field, and see how they stack up against thier piers. thx for reading. The only idea you mentioned that I wasn't too keen on. The rest, especially ped passengers bailing when car has slowed. And Driver making a run on foot after his car is trashed (chance based) I really like. Also other units stopping to arrest bailed passengers though can see that being tricky. I don't like the traffic light idea mainly as it travels the wrong way down the realism road. +1 c13

Yeah I just went there myself and took a pic. The guy was pretty good with photoshop no doubt about that. cleared the other buildings from the background and cut the tower block on the left down to size as well. It's all good publicity when people engage in discussions about true or fake, or whether this product will be released on such a date on a certain platform etc. All the time people are talking about R* even if it's negative it's free press and keeps them relevant.

A guy who uses these forums and also makes some entertaining vids put a mod pack together a while ago as everyone kept asking him for links to stuff. Some of the stuff in there is out of date now such as the LCPDFR download, but in that pack you will find real recorded gunshots, real helicopter sound, a siren mod (horns) and realistic driving. if your new to this then installing the sound files is easiest place to start. You will need a program such as sparks to instal these. If your not familiar there are tutorials on how to use sparks and instal car textures, sound files, weapon mods etc etc. Anyway, linky: http://www.mediafire...xefnpfhuw5hrjyd As I said not my mod pack and as the link is still diplayed on some of his you tube vids I see no harm directing you towards it. :) Realistic driving requires no special instal program. that one is just a case of replacing files. Read the read me file in that folder and alway make a back up before modding. I make a copy of the entire gta folder. All 15 gig of it. That way I have every origional file in it's correct place so finding an origional if something goes wrong is easy.

Do you know what solved the problem, or what you you were doing wrong ? Often these posts can help others with similar issues which is why most of the time threads tend to get closed rather than deleted. Ive not seen this before "Attempted to read or write protected memory." and if it ever comes up again with someone else your experience could help :)

Nice find. Well done. I know that sometimes fakes are hard to spot but tbh i was amazed anyone took those images seriously. The map looked like something from the 1980's ffs. Half expected to see leisure suit larry driving on it :p The whole design was not fluid and would have been a horrible game play experience. And the other giveaway is if you are gonna leak something you don't leak the most boring pic you can find with no detail or content. If i had of been wrong I would have eaten my words and eat humble pie, but my previous comment was based on what seemed so obvoius to me. Which why I choose to use colourful language :) Edit: ok, a told ya so post maybe but I couldn't resist :p

Only thing I can say is that the domestic call is the most common of all calls, and depending what area you are in it always happen at the same building within that area. sometimes my calls dry up entirely. By pressing F11 and forcing a call this sometimes kickstarts the calls again. Also in the .ini txt file there are paremters that can be messed with regarding frequency of calls and delay between calls If memory serves me.

Previous advise holds as well. Look in your GTA folder, or in your case EFLC folder and find the scripts folder. Make sure in the script folder you have the LCPDFR files needed. Also make sure your using LEFT alt p.

A few I use that don't effect performance in any noticible way. (some have been mentioned) Real recorded gun shot sounds Real recorded helicopter sounds Realistic car handling Batton mod (replaces baseball bat with police batton) Dashcam mod (for setting up speed traps) Less overtaking (when stopped at traffic lights reduces for a time the chance that another car crashes into you from behind) No intro mod (speeds up game start by removing intro) I mod the car I am driving too, normally the fbi slot to avoid too many of them appearing on screen at once. Though that will impact performance as will any modded cars that have a higher poly count than the origionals) Also I use uniform mods for police

Maybe the destination path was wrong and sent to wrong folder. Open your GTA folder and look inside the script folder. You should see a few LCPDFR files there. Also the screen will go slightly blury its a gta IV feature. just press P again this time without Alt though. If working you should see stars on your map now indicating police stations. Also when you pressed LEFT alt p you get a message in upper left corner. Cant recal what it says though :P. So, make sure you press left alt p and check map for police station locations and get to one to go on duty.

Is anyone else seeing something odd with this thread. I see thread started by Dorrianmurray211, Nov 16 2011 07:47 PM but the first post is not his. Infact the first post was written several hours before the thread was made. Looks like 2 threads have combined or is it just bugging out at my end ? Confused.... Maybe a result of filling the lost data when the server went down ? Also is the forum on GMT ? I am seeing new threads pop up that are 3 min's ahead of GMT :) small thing but could be relavent. edit: Actually as for the time difference, pretty certain that was the case, but you don't really wanna trust me and numbers without someone else noticing it too. so don't waste time looking into that unless anyone else notices it. Well if it was a member of the quality n testing team then maybe, maybe I might expect a leaked image to show it's being played on a console. Yes I know it's gona be realesed on console but the development images are unlikely to have a console menu. Unless as I said it's at last testing quality phase . Airport on an island is a genius location ! <edit: just noticed the runways on the main landmass so that's not so odd. Though no point in landing a plane on that island as there is feck all there. There is a freeway, but the flow of gameplay driving around that map was designed by a 3 year old. Love the one road in and one road out in most of those isolated towns. Too small and too repetative a feature. And just love the insane sphegheti road plan on the right where one road goes north south but meanders around all over the place with no features at bottom right. The other screenshot he manages to get has no cars or other noticible game items whatsoever. He must have searched for such a boring shot lacking in anything noticible. Oh. and I hope there are boats or the main character is a good swimmer cause that's a lot of water. Not gonna sit on the fence here. Total bollocks...

I think I have only given one bad rep point out since I been here. And that was to someone who put down someone elses work and said they could do a lot better. And indeed had created better, and would show this... Two months on and am still waiting to see the masterpiece. Anyway, Thumbs up. :)

I wont get into where I am on either side of this but I will say, Yes police brutality happens. And not just in the states. But, most photo or video evidence allthough on the face of it seems clear cut I take with a pintch of salt. I have seen the same pieces of video footage in the past used to argue different points and sides of an argument. As to the "occupy movement" again this isn't just happening in the states. In London the same thing went down. I will always fight for peoples right to protest, and in this case I do believe they have a genuine case but things have gotten out of hand. Mainly by "middle class" people who think the law don't apply to them as they are law abiding and demonstrating a point but putting up tents and ocupying public spaces is not in the spirit of what free speach is meant to mean, in any country. That's where things went too far. It seems now no one can express themselves or demonstrate without putting up a tent and moving to a public place to live for a few weeks. So, the protesters have a genuine issue, but imo a genuine issue don't give people the right to do as they please. Only to say what they please. It would be a crappy place to live if every one with an opinion set up tent and camped. Where does it stop ? Outside of hospitals to protest health cuts. outside of schools for education reforms. I think you get what I am saying.

My thinking as well. Purely because it happened to me in my first days using LCPDFR. Saved a game while playing LCPDFR and game would no longer load. Delete saved games is only solution to that as far as I know. There is no reason to ever save a game while playing LCPDFR as there is no progression to save, but like many I was conditioned to save my game as an automatic reaction :) Long story short.... After pressing Alt P never save. Close game and restart to continue with normal GTA IV progression.

If you mean add a car to a new slot and not over write anything else there is. Though it is beyond my skills. You can add a "newvehicle.img" to pc / cdimages / models as well as the existing "vehilcles.img" but you then also need to make new entriess for that in several other places. carcols - cargrp - default data - as well as add a "newhandling and newide" files. Like I said it's all beyond me just repeating how I have seen it done. I had a mod that used this and meant I was the only person who could drive it. The AI were unable too as the model had to be spawned with trainer. When I got time I will try and find the download for that model so you can see how it was done and what was needed. PS: not saying this is the only way, it's just the only way Iv'e seen.
