  1. I check every day. Mostly for advice about woman. Maybe that's why I am single. Oh I also check for new police models, textures etc. That might actually be the bigger reason I'm single.
  2. Since you took the effort to reply the answer to your question is quite obvious. @ the op.... Block - move on - proffit.
  3. Unless any othe cars you installed came with a handling.dat file, or files that made changes to that file then installing a certain car such as a taurus wont affect another car such as your cvpi. I think somewhere along the line you have changed a handling line without realiseing it. I can't (at the moment anyway) think of another explaination.
  4. I would go with the advice above given by Jewish Banana. (epic name) But, there is also another way.... But take note, unless you know what you are doing you can seriously screw up your cars handling so much that it flips over by by breathing to close to it. Any google search for GTAIV handling editor will throw up a couple of different but both very usefull tools that enable you to tweak everything you can think of. From steering lock and suspension stiffness. To top speed, gears and torque. There is a 3 part video tutorial that explains (mostly) what each of the settings do. The vids center on how to make cars drift. Ignore that. It's just the explainations of what the settings do that's important. First part of 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5askSm7kjXU But once again be warned. This is advanced..... Also a real life understanding of car physics goes a long way to understanding some of what these handling editors do. Edit: Also take note that those 3 vids contain a huge amount of unwanted waffle. It could all have been explained in one vid. But there ya go.

  6. Wow, thank you for all the kind words and help. "Native trainer" of course ! thx :) And as Sharp command suggested, If I recal that's exactly how I used to get around the problem. Using Naitive trainer to make my model a police officer... Thx again for all the help. While I am typing I will just say, I am here as a player. I gave up my post a long time ago due to lack of commitment on my part. Nothing has changed there, and I am happy to be a player with zero responsiblities ;) Great to see some old faces, and just as good to see new faces too.
  7. Hello, I used to play LCPDFR like a religion. But, I have been away for over a year. (no Iv'e been been in prison) Not surprisingly I have forgetten everything usefull. Since I last played I lost all the stuff on my hard drive. Including car textures I spent a lot of time on and also models that are simply not available anymore :( Well that's life... Most things I had trouble with Iv'e been able to quickly find answers to from this site. (still the best GTAIV community I'm happy to see) But two things I can't seem to find. First is a mod I used to use that I can't remember the name of. It was an ingame utillity that had a bout 3 pages of menu allowing to cheat adjust just about every apect of the game. Such as time of day, weather, colour of car etc etc etc. It also allowed things like hot keys to clean cars etc. Anyone who knows what I am talking about and knows the name of the mod / utillity will be helping me out a lot. Second, (and this isn't as important) Very seldomly when trying to search or arrest a person near a wall or obstacle can cause your model to dissapear. Like I said this isn't as important as this is a rare event. But is there any kind of console command that would reload the player model or any kind of workaround ? If the answers to these questions are easilly available I appologise. But I have searched and checked anywhere I thought I might find such info. Thx in advance for any help...
  8. I don't hate Christmas. I love it. But have to agree with the above poster about Christmas becoming about recieving and spending. Anyway, I don't want anything particular. A bottle of whiskey always goes down well. I really just wanted to wish everyone at LCPDFR a happy new year and hope you all have a peacefull Christmas. I still haven't seen a nicer or better run online community. Merry Christmas. Edit : 104 notifications !
  9. Just read this story here https://apps.faceboo...ypes=news.reads Harpers report though was better :) It does seem like he was badly let down by the system. But that said it can be hard to predict this sort of thing. I think as sugested an investigation would be good. If only to better help people in a similar situation in the future. RIP
  10. You Tube was how I found out about LCPDFR. I can't recal who's vid I saw first but I do know it didn't take long before I began to watch NBvids. Mainly because the content in the early vids explained a lot about the mod and it's workings. Talking about the preview series mainly, but the early ones even started in the police station and went through choosing a uniform and car etc. If that was in every vid obviously it would get old, but for an LCPDFR virgin it was great to get to see all aspects of the mod including tips that would take a while to work out yourself. So, I voted Youtube but I aknowledge NBvids were a major part of my education in the early days.
  11. It's always great to see anyone return to the game. Modder or not. I do have a lot of respect for his work and do hope he does return. However any hint he might continue his ELS work I file in the same folder as GTA V release dates. In short if it happens great, if not then at least I won't have held my breath.

  13. Nope, read this http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/ look at this And then if you still need to make a support post afterwards feel free. This time though don't bypass the troubleshooter and include the information adked for in your post. Closing
  14. Change "force resolution =" to false in ENB . ini There is another entry next to it as well but I can't recal what is says and I don't use it anymore. It's the force of resolution change that does this. It might be force anti AA as well The same thing happens if you change the resolution after starting the game even withoout ENB Edit: Also the troubleshooter asked you if you were using other mods !
  15. MODERATOR NOTICE Posts merged. Please avoid double posting, use your edit button if you want to add something before anyone replies You can either use gimp or photoshop to change some of the blue to red on the image you posted. Or swap out that image from a car that has lights you want. Also the setting in the .ini file changes the reflection colours. Also how bright they are and how far they reflect (distance).
