I just wanna say thanks to everyone who replied. I've been worried sick about being on the right path and getting into a stable career in LE. Right now I'm 19 and I'm still transitioning from high school life to now focusing on a career which is never easy. Thank you all so much, you guys stay safe out there. Oh not sure if it actually matters or not, but I do have college credits already from high school and an administrative assistant certificate (NOCTI).

Wouldn't you need those state's Peace Officer cert though? I hear hiring is pretty shit in PA for police officers. A lot of part time and no FT. You close to Lawrence County?

I honestly don't want to go down the path of military. I have a great full time job now and am making more money then I would in the military. I'm thinking this: I know a detective in a local city as well as a few cops within that department as well. I'd have no problem getting my degree once I was a cop, but until then I want to get stable. I'm thinking like most jobs, it's who you know not entirely what you know. I asked the detective this same thing and his response badically was no you don't need a degree if you're going city.

Well, main problem is that I was going to join the Air Force for Security Forces, however, I was denied for ADD. In terms of shape I'm in, I was able to join the Air Force and while I was getting ready for BMT, I ran a 11 minute or so mile and a half, so that was nice. So, all in all, I should just get an associates and I'll be good?

So, I really didn't want to have to ask this, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing at this point. So, as it stands now, I'm about to turn 19 years old and I want to start a career in Law Enforcement. For the most part, you need to be 21 to become a police officer in Ohio (my state) which I completely understand, but now at this point I am getting worried. As it stands now, I am concerned that I won't be able to find a career in law enforcement once I graduate from academy due to the competitive market of Law Enforcement. I really don't care to get a degree of any kind as I am currently working a full time job and don't wish to deal with the debt after the fact. I see it like this: I want to become a cop, that's it, plain and simple. I've heard two sides, one saying you can get a job without a degree and the other saying it is next to impossible to get a job without a degree. I really don't want to go to college, I dropped out to pursue a career in law enforcement rather than IT, and going back isn't something I have any interest in. So, what do you guys think? I'd love to hear from people, especially LEOs within Ohio, if there are any on here.

So, I decided to remake the Dodge predators commercial since it was so kick ass. This is the first video I've done in GTA 5 and my first time using the Rockstar editor. It was a pretty fun past two days shooting and editing all of this. I was going to apply color correction, but decided against it in the end since I'd much rather try on another video with it. After reviewing the audio (as once the arrest began taking place she was removed off screen), I can see that one: She was completely disrespectful to the cop and refused to follow his directions, even though telling her to put out her cigarette is a bit pushing his luck. Two: The once the arrest took place the officer didn't seem to care much to calm her down. It is import when policing to not escalated the situation further, and screaming and shouting do not help matters at all. Three: It does sound as if he got a bit rough with her, though of course the video doesn't show this, so please take that statement with a grain of salt. The arrest seemed a bit out of control, but it looked pretty standard when dealing with someone who is disrespectful and out of control. I read an article that said she was a black civil rights leader, which if that is the case then she honestly should have had more respect for the officer. If you don't show the officer respect, how do you expect him to show you respect back. Tony Soprano said it best: "Those who want respect, give respect." Regardless, allow me to get off of this tangent so I may get to her time in jail. I have yet to read more about her time in jail, so once again take what I say with a grain of salt, but if that is the case then it sounds like an issue with jailers rather then the police officers who made her arrest. Should she have been in jail in the first place? Arguably as she was getting out of control, but once again it is all perspective as the video only shows so much. I believe all of this could have been avoided if she just showed respect to the officer. That being said, I believe the video doesn't tell much as her time in jail will. Although, people did say that the video may be edited, so that is something to look at as well. I do hope that Texas authorities find out what happened to Mrs. Bland. Edit: I'd also like to say that I'm not saying disrespect was even a reason for him to pull her out of the car. I don't even understand why he did so, and I feel he only escalated the situation further. They are both at fault, but the officer is more to blame as he allowed the situation to become a shouter match, rather then calming Mrs. Bland down and ensuring she understood what she had done. I do agree with Sam above me.

So, I thought I installed everything correctly, but after attempting to test the vehicle controller plugin it appears I haven't I put the scriptHookVDotNet.asi files and such into my GTAV directory and also made a 'Scripts' folder. I placed both vehicle controller files into the Scripts folder and went in game. It appears it hasn't loaded. Any idea why? Scripts Folder:

A reasonable thing to do. I've noticed this issue as well.
