  1. Is xlive.dll (not recommended unless you need it) or dsound.dll in your GTA IV directory?
  2. Name of the new skin doesn't matter. SparkIV will keep the original name in the .wtd, but the file you import can be named anything.
  3. Save it to the desktop then copy it over to the directory. Replace the original file.
  4. I came here to post about this as well. Guess I'll just confirm that this does happen and I would like them to leave the body and maybe say to call METT.
  5. When you import into the .wtd, you need to first highlight the file to replace. So first select "police_sign_1," or something similar, and then import the new skin. You might have to re-install the car to fix the blue wheels.

Yea, traffic pretty much freezes behind you for, I think, 25 seconds.
  8. Issue 1: There is a separate button to activate ELS lights. Default is: J - Primary; K - Secondary; L - Takedowns Issue 2: Disabling ELS for AI in ELS.ini in your GTA IV directory will slow down the crashing, but the AI will not use the lights; they will only use sirens.
  9. Well I started by watching some random videos of police stuff in GTA IV. Both PPM and LCPDFR. Eventually I came across NB and pretty much stuck with watching his videos. I didn't have a computer that could handle it, so I asked for a better computer for Christmas one year, and even that one couldn't handle. So then I got a new video card so it could. This was all back in 2011. I joined these forums but never really became active until recently. The reason I became more active, now. While watching NB's videos, I noticed he started playing on an SAMP server called FCRP. I then found out that the same people that started LCPDFR started FCRP, so naturally I had to get SA on PC and join that. I was much more active on those forums than these, helping people with things and stuff. As the FCRP community grew, the Staff Team there needed more moderators, so I applied. After a while, Sam brought me into the Staff Team as a Junior Server Moderator. When the server went down, Sam actually promoted me to a Server Moderator (not Junior anymore), but then never brought the server back. Anyway, since I enjoyed being a part of the community over there, I decided to start posting things over here, helping people and stuff.

  11. You can also change the key in the GTA IV controls thing in the start menu. I forget what it's called, "definition" or something. Just make it a key you don't use instead of P. But if LCPDFR doesn't start, then we need more details.
  12. Try a different car.
  13. It's weird for this to start happening out of nowhere. You could try using some sort of RAM optimizer or gamebooster type thing.
  14. This has been asked a million times before and there are a lot of things you can do to try and fix it, ranging from a command line to a complete clean up and installation of video drivers. Just Google "GTA IV missing textures" and use trial and error with the many solutions. Or you could just look around these forums. I'm sure there are plenty, including an active topic regarding the same thing:
  15. So he's saying it only happens because of newveh.img? That's not true because I don't have any added cars and none of my trees load. Like, not even a few of them, I mean NONE load. But I do use EFLC. I haven't gotten around to trying to fix the problem yet.
  16. That can be fixed by enabling "Never wanted" in Simple Native Trainer. Not sure why the LCPDFR version of never wanted makes the stars come then go, it's weird.
  17. Well before it gets closed...I've never actually done it but I heard it works if you aim and press E on both people (so both have their hands behind their head), then cuff both, then aim at one and press F10 or F9 (whichever you choose), it will work for that guy. Then aim and press F10 or F9 on the other one and it will work for that one.
  18. Read it: "This file is locked and can not be imported"
  19. Name them differently. There's police, police2, noose, polpatriot, fbi, pstockade, nstockade, police3 (EFLC), police4 (EFLC), policeb (EFLC).
  20. Go to [GTA IV Directory]/common/data then find vehicles.ide and open it with notepad. Find the vehicle you are installing and put "+Livery" without the quotes at the end of the line.
  21. I think that's just the way NB has his car set up, not a new pattern

  23. Your graphics drivers are up to date?
  24. These skins are black and white... Fuel816 and by
