  1. Not sure if you guys have seen this - very disturbing. Just happening this morning around 6:30am in Virginia (USA) and was committed by a disgruntled reporter whom was fired recently. What's gruesome is when the camera man drops the camera when hearing the shots, you see the perps feet enter into the the camera shot - and then the full body and face emerges, with gun in-hand, pointing the gun at the camera man. Even more disturbing is the perp then posts a video he shot himself on Facebook (vest camera I suppose) showing him murdering these people. Detail at Drudge Report - www.drudgereport.com and other news wires. Frickin' crazy - this looser will probably commit suicide. DrDetroit
  2. This is a great mod, but now also crashes my game as of the past day or two. I think something needs updating with this mod...which is bizarre since no GTAV updates of late. As for Police Radio, download the latest version and install to the Plugin/LSPFR folder...not the plugin folder as before. I was having issues with PR until I realized I installed into wrong folder. Good luck! DrDetroit
  3. Call for the backup, when it arrives walk up to the car, press F and your character will open the rear door of the backup and the perp will enter the car. Close the door and leave. The backup cops will get in their car eventually and drive off with the perp. No mods needed for this. Sometimes I notice the perp will fall out of the car though...down the street. Now that this mod has an actual transport, will be worth a try. Good day! DrDetroit
  4. Those are very nice. Thanks for posting.
  5. As stated above a few times; I think a better method is request a Code-2 backup, then once the backup arrives put the perp in the back of their car. The backup cops eventually get back into the car and drive away with the perp. Done away with the perp in a way more realistic fashion without having to drive all the way to the lockup.
  6. The second line in the description says that the harassment call is the only call implemented. Then he explains right above your post that CalloutsV is blocking all other callouts...I mean right above your post....about 1/2 inch up the sceen.
  7. Well, there are plugins that cover all those things you have mentioned, and worth installing. Just check the download section of this website. Good luck! DrDetroit
  8. The truck search mod Zarezhu posted works very well and is animated as well. Works without conflict or issues. Good day! DrDetroit
  9. Blips are nice, but I personally like having to keep eyeballs on the target, instead of the mini map. Makes things a bit more intense that way. I think I read somewhere they'll add blips...but I could be wrong.
  10. I'd love to hear music while driving a cop car. So I've been looking for a vehicle.ide file, haven't found it yet, nor anything similar. In GTAIV, that is where you can implement the radio in the police vehicles, so if I can locate that file should be able to do the same.
  11. As the gentlemen above have stated, when the driver fails to yield, go to the backup menu (B) and see if it's showing "Pursuit" or just "Code 3" or "Code 2". If it shows "Pursuit" in the backup menu then it's an official chase. Call in back up and go get 'em! One thing I notice is that they can be a bit harder to chase since there is no blip, but if you call in a LSPD chopper, then they will illuminate the location of the offender. Good luck, DrDetroit
  12. Yup, see below: Good day! DrDetroit
  13. You can use either...if you have dsound installed, just use it and see if you can get LCPDFR to fire up once in-game.
  14. Xlive is fine. Just use that and see if the game starts. Again; once in the game, press LAlt+P to start LCPDFR. You will see blips for police stations on the map. And I'd have to disagree with the other guy, I find that xlive is far more stable than dsound, on my rig at least, and been doing this for a few years now.
  15. Everything is in the installer. Once you get it into the game directory then try to run it and see if you get the police station blips on the map.
  16. Just use xlive for now, and keep it if you don't plan on going online. Don't use both, they conflict. BTW: Everything you need is in the installer, you shouldn't need to download anything else. Just the 1.0d installer (either manual or auto).
  17. Yes, install all those files into the GTAIV main directory. Then go to the directory and make sure you only have either dsound.dll or xlive.dll, not both. If both show up, then delete one. You only need to install one or the other, not both 1.0d files...although not a big deal if you did, because it should overwrite the file anyhow. Go into the game and once the game is running press LAlt+p and see if you see the police stations marked on the map.
  18. If I remember correctly the auto installer will check and install the necessary net-framewrok (4.5 needed). Use that one and see what happens. All the script hooks are included, so you're fine in that regard.
  19. Oh boy...well, just double click the zip file to unzip. 7zip is free and what most use these days.
  20. Just follow my instructions, you'll be fine. Unzip the manual installer files to your games directory and you're good to go. It's really simple as that. Don't forget about the dsound vs xlive.dlls...only use one. EDIT: I should add that you do need to make sure you have the proper net-frame ect. That is what you are probably referring to. I think that the auto installer will check for those files for you. So, try running the auto installer and see what it says.
  21. Simply unzip all the files in the manual install into your root GTAIV folder....that's all you need to do. If it's a Steam version, then the file path to GTAIV should look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV Then you can open up the .ini file to view the keys needed to play (LAlt + P to start LCPDFR once in game). PS: Only use either Dsound.dll or Xlive.dll...not both. I use xlive since I don't go online in GTAIV. Simply look through the root GTAIV directory where you installed everything and get rid of one of those files, and keep one. Good luck! DrDetroit
  22. Pretty good and pretty funny! Like the enthusiasm lol. "Oh My God David!! Whyyyyy!!!!"
  23. Yes, seems to happen in V as well. If I sit at a stop light, the AI does the same thing they did in IV...try to go around instead of wait.
  24. Plenty of time to sleep when you die. Keep working!! ha ha...just kidding...kind of. Keep up the great work Sam/LMS!! Good day, DrDetroit
  25. Plus the dinky laptop monitor isn't a plus either. The biggest laptop monitor I think is a 17.5, which is the size I have, and it can't compare to my nice 27" IPS 1900x1080 which I run my games with my AMD 8-core. Ditch the laptop and get a desktop for gaming. I think it's unanimous in this thread. Good day, DrDetroit
