  1. what exactly do you think a configuration file does? Lol If its in the confguration file. It means it can be configured to your preference. So yes you can change the key from T.
  2. Rockstar would be very stupid to go entirely multiplayer. Both in terms of finance and consumers. Multiplayer games don't last, they die out when people get bored of grinding levels or they hit max level or they complete all achievements or whatever. When you've done all that you no longer have a goal to keep you playing and all it takes is a few bad games for you to go "why am I still playing this, there's nothing left to unlock". And then all it needs is for someone in the same game genre to make a new game and that's game over. Eg. CoD. Who here stopped playing the previous CoD game when the new one came out? Probably most people, those who kept playing either wanted that one to die off, couldn't afford the newest or was waiting for christmas/birthday. If you go back to those older games now the player count is like 20% of what it was at peak, and the servers are no longer fully maintained so when a new cheat gets made the anti-cheat doesn't ban them nor does it get updated to consider that. Now let's look at GTA Vice City. No multiplayer. What's stopping me from reinstalling that on steam and having an hour or so a night of nostalgia fueled gameplay. Nothing. People these days are losing their free time due to being forced into getting jobs, or their education etc. A friend of mine had 3 jobs while at university just so they could afford to live. And then what happens with multiplayer games? you jump back in and find everyone else is 20+ levels higher than you and you get steamrolled ever few seconds, throw the controller down and say "fuck this" cause it's annoyed you. So yeah, I reckon R* would start to lose out if they went 100% online. Especially since they're so well known for open world sandbox gameplay.
  3. Try the solution I put in my thread for the Steam version http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/52764-how-to-avoid-rockstar-updates/?do=findComment&comment=368397 Additionally if that solution doesn't work the above link should take you to one of the comments by snowtigerjr for a possible alternative.

  7. Selection will be added at a later date. The AI is all custom at the moment and as such they interfere with LSPDFR sometimes. I wanted to have the AI out and stress tested hence my decision to say it's experimental. For now there is only one unit and that's the standard city cops. Looks daft out in the countryside but my priority was the AI. Once we can better integrate AI with LSPDFR I will begin working on better roadblock selection, including spike strip set ups, different county units etc.
  8. Or you could add -scOfflineOnly to your commandline.txt file. Has the same effect.
  9. No we collectively decided to stop developing this just to watch you all lose your shit :) Have a nice day :D
  10. It was removed per request. There is a similar turn tires function in More Control V (link in signature) if you desperately wanted it.

  12. A major update has been released! See changelog for details on what's new, there is simply too much to recall! In addition to this I have now began creating automatic installers to help those who struggle with installation. Read the installer readme packaged with the exe for details.

  14. LSPDFR 0.2b doesn't officially support RPH 0.21 or higher. It was built, tested and compiled against 0.20 and thus it supports 0.20. In most cases it works with RPH 0.21 and above, but it's not officially supported so odd behavior can potentially occur. A quick reminder from what Cyan said on a mod list post: "It should probably be noted that LSPDFR may not play nicely with third-party modifications and is intended to run on a vanilla (completely unmodded) game. If you ever seek support, we would encourage you to disable or remove any third-party modifications to see if that fixes your issue." It would actually be impractical to package the mod with a version of RPH that is not officially supported. That being said I'm not a member of the development team, so what I say is not a final stance on the situation (unless confirmed by the devs).
  15. "All of said above still applies: the "locked" model can still be converted with other tools and (later, when available) exported into open formats via OpenIV." Sooooo they're still not REAAAALLLY locked......let's be honest.
  16. There were no major changes between 0.21, 0.22, 0.23 and 0.24 that would cause mods to break. the reason 0.20 mods we're broken with 0.21 onwards was because the return type of the animation task was changed. Nothing like that has been done since so in theory most mods (if upgraded to 0.21 or above) will work with 0.24. Mods still using 0.20 that use animations will continue to break with 0.24 when requesting the animation task.
  17. It should do yes, I've had no problems running it on 0.21, 0.22, 0.23 or 0.24. RagePluginHook.log
  18. ^This. The original author has expressed the mod can stay up and so it will do. Please refrain from making public mod theft accusations. @Småen Please in future go straight to reporting files rather than commenting on them so that we can handle them accordingly.

  21. As has been the reply to most threads asking this kind of question. Using ANY kind of mod online has the potential to get you banned. We are not Rockstar, we do not represent Rockstar, we cannot possibly say with certainty that any kind of mod will or will not result in a ban because we don't control any of it. Therefore, use any mods online at your own risk, for absolute safety do not run any kind of mod online and you'll be fine. Also, moving to modding discussion.
