Editing Xbox 360 Controller buttons for PC
I was under the impression you could change them in the game settings. would seem stupid not to be able to when it has full controller support.

Terror Attack in Paris, France, 18 confirmed dead.
Let's not bring in the conspiracy theories. They do nothing but provoke hatred and stupid flame wars. All responses regarding the conspiracy theory thus far have been removed, anyone who continues this will receive a warning with possible sanctions against your account.

Pet at University?
No offence but this is LCPDFR.com not the student room. Most of the replies you're likely to get will be from people studying in different countries or at different universities. Hell you'll probably even get replies from children or adults not in university. You'd be much better off having such a discussion on the student based forums, but I would advise you to contact your accommodation services first, whether thats your university or a 3rd party student housing (so a landlord) to see what they say, you'll probably find they wont let you have pets of any kind. Nonetheless I will leave this topic open for now, it is after all general discussion.

I highly doubt they will change their mind.

New multiplayer Co-op for Grand Theft Auto V
I doubt this will make it past small time useage. Take-Two Interactive will shut it down like they did FiveM.

Plugins
See my previous answer. You're asking me the same question, "will running more plugins affect the performance". The more plugins or mods you use, the bigger the effect they will have on your game. This may be in the form of lag, or texture popping or vehicles despawning quicker.

Plugins
Yes they can, if you're running them on a potato. (seriously, yes, if your system can't cope with handling that much at a given time)

Force ending a pullover
LSPDFR has control over traffic stop AI and doesn't let you take over without a serious fight for control (in most cases you lose) so you would need to get back in your vehicle and hit Shift to cancel it or drive far away. EDIT: Actually come to think of it, you MIGHT be able to assign the wander task after asking them to exit the vehicle. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the traffic stop gets dismissed if they leave the vehicle (for an arrest etc).

Whenever I make a callout in Visual Studio, it passes intellisense but for some reason the callout never comes up in game
Check the RPH log file for a line line this: [10/10/2015 12:51:00.201] LSPD First Response: Registering callout CalloutsV.Callouts.StreetRace But obviously it will have your mod name, namespace and callout file name. If that never appears the callout is never registered. If it does appear it is registered and will be randomly selected. You also can't force your own callout, just set the probability to "Always" and keep hitting X until it shows up. If you've done this, and the line in the log file above shows but the callout still never appears, you've used or done something else which is blocking it, for example created an infinite loop in the wrong place. Double check your code. Also as a best practice, comment and log a callout. So you can go through the log file to see if your code actually executes or if it gets cut off for whatever reason.

To all those pirates out there ...
If you all took the time to read the RPH twitter account you'll have seen they removed the piracy checks after Rockstar made some changes that annoyed lots of modders, including those responsible for bringing you RPH. https://twitter.com/RAGEPluginHook/status/645972478939021313 https://twitter.com/RAGEPluginHook/status/653143551128248320 While the new hook versions no longer BLOCK pirated copies of the game, we still don't necessarily SUPPORT you, this has long been our stance here. If you manage to get mods working on a pirated/cracked copy of the game, good for you (that's not sarcasm), you can go ahead and enjoy mods. Just don't expect a huge amount of support from us if things go wrong. Now to address this post directly, many people have many different reasons why they can't buy a legal copy of the game. It's not for you to decide if they are a bad person or not. If you have the game legally that doesn't make you king of the forums, nor does it give any of you the right to slander or hate those who have illegal copies. I'm closing this thread, it will only promote hate towards particular groups/users and moreover we've already had threads like this with people chiming in trying to attack/defend pirating. There's no need to keep bringing it up with no new discussion value. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.

[WIP] More Control V - Extending Your Control Over GTA V
Persistent vehicles shouldn't ever be despawned by the game, if this is happening it's out of my control (although I can catch the crash, that's not "fixing" the underlying problem). Any problems being caused right now are either due to incorrect versions or conflicts. I haven't got any motivation to code plugins right now to solve these, my priority right now is my final year of university. I game to de-stress. Once I catch a good break with uni I'll fix everything that people are reporting for both of my V plugins, and include some sophisticated crash checks and version checks to ensure people have an easier time.

How do I install custom siren and lighting for LCPDFR GTA 4

My partner is repeatedly entering/exiting the vehicle.
Moved the thread from LSPD First Response Support, that forum is strictly for LSPDFR support issues (this includes LSPDFR API plugins). As it is not an API plugin causing the issues for you, I've moved the thread to GTA V support. This topic has been moved to the appropriate forum. Please post in the correct location in the future.

Would this be a sensible computer?
Quite a nice build from the looks of things. I think you should be alright but potentially the EVGA card and the power supply might cause a bit of space issues. I have that combo (different models) and the PSU has thickly braided cables that don't like moving much, combine that with the colossal EVGA card and you have a minor issue of things not fitting nicely. Personal recommendation would be to spend a bit extra and get a second SSD or a high speed HDD, 1TB or so if you down the HDD route. Obviously the SSD is faster but they usually are smaller capacity. You'll find you'll fill that 500GB SSD pretty quickly if you want it for gaming etc. The case looks nice, but I would be mildly concerned over it's air flow. Again EVGA cards are colossal so, imagine a thick heat producing wall half way down the case. Buy extra fans if necessary, or if you just like fans. I have 5 :D (8 if you include GPU and CPU mounted ones) Other than that, a pretty solid build.

Question About LCPDFR
Hi, congrats on your first post and welcome. Regarding LCPDFR, the development team really only consists of 2 people, with input from various other staff members. We all have day to day lives and as such the devs can't focus their entire time on modding. The primary focus is GTA V, with LSPDFR being in it's early stages there is a lot to do. LCPDFR however spent a good 5 or so years now in development, it's highly unlikely any work will be made towards this for a while. but I'm not a dev, so this can be overturned very easily. Regarding porting scripts, it's not that easy. Most developers here probably wont have written their plugins to be modular enough to port back to GTA IV, especially with V being more powerful and entirely different to write plugins for. We probably could, but it would take a hell of a long time for the majority. Again time that they may not really want to dedicate.

Modded cars don't shows ingame.
If you're using the mods folder with OpenIV be sure you have also installed the asi loader and the OpenIV.asi plugins. (You can do this through OpenIV itself, just look up how to use the mods folder). Also be sure that you haven't just created folders inside the mods folder. The mods folder needs to be an exact copy of the GTA files, so if your mod goes inside Update.rpf, your mods folder should have update.rpf inside it, not a folder called update. I'm also moving this thread to GTA V support, as it's not a development tutorial or question. This topic has been moved to the appropriate forum. Please post in the correct location in the future.
