OK, thanks. I ended up getting into there, but it says live.dll is missing, so I put xlive.dll in from my laptop but it still says that xlive.dll is missing. EDIT: OK, so I'm home and I tried running it as an administrator but nothing happens. I've tried running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode and Windows Vista, but still no dice. What should I do now?

That's the thing, I don't know how. I've never used steam before so I don't know where anything is located. Also, I'm not concerned about online, just single player.

This is a problem with Steam. i was looking at their website because I am having problems with my GTA IV from Best Buy and I was going to buy it from Steam. But Steam is aware of this problem and they are working to fix it. This isn't a problem on your end, but on Steam's end. No need to worry. I'm sure they fix it soon....as I sit on hold with Best Buy support...lol.

OK, so I got pissed off with dealing with Best Buy and just bought GTA IV from Steam for $9.99 because of their fall sale. I downloaded Steam and installed it and downloaded and installed GTA IV, but now I can't get GTA IV to start or anything. I click the play button in Steam for GTA but it does nothing. I know they are having issues with the serials not working, but that should only deny me multiplayer access, I should still be able to get to singleplayer and play, right? I have been dealing with this since about 12:00 pm today. I'm off to work until 10pm and hopefully I can get help.

Great to see you are back! I was wondering why I haven't seen any new video uploads by you on my YouTube homepage. lol. Like someone said before, you got me interested in the mod and interested in making videos. Granted I haven't made any in a while, but once I get my new PC I plan on making more. I don't know, DC Beltway drivers are pretty sketchy, no offence to anybody. But, when I was there earlier this year I saw people who would merge into traffic, then blast across 4 lanes of traffic, without looking, then get into the HOV lane. Just because The Beltway is called Interstate 90, that doesn't mean that the speed limit is 90 mph! lol. Back on topic; the only traffic control mod that I know of is the less overtaking one that somebody mentioned before. Other than that, I don't know of any.

Like ineseri said, the only solution is to use the SNT. Unless you are able to change what your ped looks like via the in-game console. If you are able to change what your ped is via the in game console, then you would ALT+P to initialize LCPDFR then LControl+P to force duty. But if you aren't able to change via the in-game console, you are pretty much stuck.

Record to a different HDD, I will have to do that. Considering the one I am most likely going to get, the one for $629.99, has a terabyte HDD, I'll put one of my HDDs from my old PC in the new one, it's a 320 gig HDD, and just use it for recording. Thanks for all the help!

I still want to be a police officer. My grandfather has been retired almost 17 years, was in the Air Force during Vietnam from '60-'68, then a police officer in my local department for 30 odd years, retired in 1996, around the time I was born. He had a heart attack while on the job, recovered and went back to work. lol. Needless to say, he is 68 years old and still as well as can be! lol. He is my reason for wanting to be a cop.

My local department still has most of our Crown Vics. We have a couple of new Interceptors and at least one Explorer SUV.

So all in all, which one could I run GTA IV on decently high settings, with an ENB, while recording with FRAPS? That is the main reason why I want to upgrade. I am not going Intel because their prices are just ridiculous. Hence the AMD.

All that needs to be done is press "P". This is not an issue with the trainer at all. OP said he doesn't have any other mods besides LCPDFR that use ALT+P.

My current pc specs aren't horrible, but they could use upgrading, hence why I'm buying a whole new rig. But the main reason for my buying a new rig is because I get a BSoD error saying "A clock interrupt was not recieved on a secondary processor" or something to that extent. The only way to fix it? New processor. And a new processor with my current motherboard, expensive as it is old....it's a snowball effect. lol

I still prefer AMD over Intel due to the fact my cousin bought a computer with just about the same specs of the one I am looking at, but with an Intel i5 on newegg.com and it was almost $200 more expensive. AMD are really good, maybe not as good, but still good, but just miles less expensive.

The AMD Radeon 6700 HD graphics card isn't all the great anymore. It's what I have in my current desktop now. When I got it a few years ago it was fantastic, but now it isn't as good.

That is a bit much, considering I am going to be splitting the price with my parents, plus the processor isn't as good as either of the FX-series the the one MrMpunit posted and the one I posted. The processor is a lot stronger, which is good, from what I've read, I think the graphics is also better, but there is less RAM, but that is a really easy fix, since RAM is pretty cheap. Also, there is less HDD space, but it's not like I can't throw my HDDs from my old PC into the new one, that'll give me a little of 1 TB. I'll definitely have to consider this one! Thanks! :D

So I was going to upgrade my existing desktop, but for the money, it is almost more beneficial for me to just outright buy a new gaming PC. I personally like both series, but the Battlefield series a bit more. I enjoy the CoD series when I play by myself and just mindlessly run and gun, whereas I enjoy the Battlefield series with my friends because you have to set up sort of an attack plan in order to win the game. And the fact that the BF series allows you to change a map by blowing just about anything. From the people I've talked to who are die-hard CoD players, they said that the multiplayer for Ghosts wasn't very good, but the campaign was really good. Granted the BF4 campaign was only 7 missions long, the actual missions themselves were quite in-depth and immersive. I haven't gotten Ghosts yet, I probably will for Christmas, but I went out and bought Battlefield 4 because i really wanted that game. From what my friends have said, they do not enjoy the multiplayer whatsoever, so I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'll get it eventually and try the multiplayer. Although I'll probably get pissed at it like I have every other Call of Duty because of quickscoping, which I find completely stupid and childish, mainly because of Battlefield and the fact that you have to actually snipe and adjust for wind and distance. Anyhow, I don't think CoD is dead, but I think it is slowly going downhill, while in my opinion, the BF series is growing.

It makes the light patterns more realistic, it adds the ability to cycle through the siren modes, create custom LED patterns, and adds more realism all around. ELS v6 supposedly wasn't very stable, though I never once had a problem because of it, but ELS v7 has miles more features and is miles more stable.

I saw this somewhere else, and I had the same reaction. lol

The SWAT games are pretty good, old, but decent. It's more of the tactical style, hence the SWAT title. But you do what a SWAT team does. I find them pretty good, mine quit working, but when it did, it was pretty good.
