  1. Just like what Break said, you're better off backing up the things you find the most valuable, music, pics, GTA IV perhaps, then just reformatting your HDD. It's just a million times more stable and a million times less troublesome. I'm running Win7 on a Vista PC but I didn't reformat anything and it is extremely glitchy and retarded. It may be an annoyance at first since you don't have any of your old stuff, but trust me, it is totally worth it.
  2. Light-gasm. I LOVE IT! It's going in my game right now! I've been looking for good Xmas Tree cars because I want to make a fleet of them, and I think they look awesome!
  3. Are you sure your car is ELS enabled? If the car is not ELS enabled, pressing the light keys won't turn them on. Also, do you have a trainer installed with your game? If so, disable it, as the keybindings that the trainer use can sometimes interfere with the ELS keybindings.
  4. I think you're actually making certain people on the internet sound smart with that video! Lol. Sometimes a horse's ass is smarter than people on the internet at times!
  5. Love it! I'm not a fan of the Phaser but that is just how it is. I'm looking for a new siren that is loud, but this is just perfect!
  6. To my limited knowledge of laptops, I don't think yours is able to run GTA IV. The CPU isn't very strong nor is the graphics chip.
  7. I think the negativity in these posts can be cut down a bit, but I do however think that no matter the level of knowledge of modding, scripting, modeling etc. somebody has should limit them on giving support to others. I know very little about modding and scripting and modeling but I do try to give my help where ever I can, and I believe that if somebody wants to gather a group of people together and try to give out help is good. But as it says on the bottom of the webpage, "G17 Media can not be held responsible for user-submitted content, which is the responsibility of the individual user." So I find no reason why he/they shoundn't be allowed to gather a Community Group to offer help, if they give bad information, it's their problem, not the LCPDFR staff, and anybody with any sort of mind can distinct between his community and the LCPDFR staff, as their names are colored differently.
  8. As far as I know it shouldn't matter which version of ELS you are running, it should automatically appear when the game starts. I know I've never had to enable it when I installed v6 or v7 on my system. But it is indeed a feature of ELS.
  9. I've got the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it's 2 or 3 years old, rooted, and still runs faster than my friends iPhone 5. I used to be an iDevice hater, but then I got the 4th gen iPod touch and I love it, but I hate iPhones and Apple computers. I am going to continue with Android phones as long as I have a phone. There is miles more customizable things right out of the box and when you root it, that is now limitless. iPhones you can customize a bit, but no where near as much as any Android phone.
  10. so is there any way to set one siren for an individual vehicle? becasue if so, this is going on my firetruck and ambulance, this is the exact siren my local FD uses, Great Job!
  11. Updated every driver both times, I can play Spec Ops: The Line on the highest setting possible and run a steady 70 FPS with no lag at all, but that's the only game I can play.
  12. Very nice! I think I may replace my current background with one of these! I'm assuming they will look fine on a 1600x900 display?
  13. So the other day I opened my PC to take a look at my processor and motherboard, i disconnected everything before opening it and whatnot. I ended up swapping out my processor with a spare one I had lying around, an AMD Phenom 9450 I think, and made sure everything was connected right and secured, then updated the drivers and made sure everything installed correctly. But when I went to start a game, the PC just froze. No BSoD, no error messages, no nothing. So I swapped out the processors and put my old one back in, did the same thing, updated the drivers and made sure everything was how it was when I opened it. No dice, my PC still crashes when starting any game. Any help on why this may be happening or how to possibly fix this? I can do anything for forever, watch movies, surf the net, listen to music, but not play games. PC Specs: Quad-core AMD Phenom 9600 @ 2.81 GHz ATi Radeon 6750 HD Graphics card 4GB RAM 650GB Western Digital HDD I know they aren't the best specs but they run GTA decently, but not anymore. Thanks!
  14. I'm not from Australia so I'm not too sure what you guys do there, but from watching Top Gear UK, they've mentioned a festival or something you guys have called Bathurst or something and it was just a bunch of people who support Holden and a bunch of people who support Ford and they got together and raced each other or something. Like I said, I'm not familiar, but what is gonna happen to that?
  15. For a second I was like WHHHHAAAAT?! When I saw the title I thought Ford was closing as a whole. Although it is sad to see a division of that size close and see so many jobs lost.
  16. Pretty much every ELS car that is out right now is capable of using ELS v7 without issue, what seems to be yours?
  17. So I was just replying to a topic about Gran Turismo 5, and was wondering about Forza Motorsport 4/ Forza Horizon. I was wondering whether you guys play it or not, if so, what are you favourite cars that you own, opinions on the game, and other stuff like that. And, for anybody who plays FM4 or Forza Horizon, this could be a place for people to kind of get together and try and get a race or lobby going. So feel free to post your thoughts on FM4 and Horizon! PS: If you're gonna bash and talk shit about the game, like major shit, just don't post.
  18. I play GT5 sometimes. I have both the PS3 and Xbox360. But GT5 wasn't bad in my opinion. I'll probably get GT6. But as for the Forza series, I love Forza 4, the main thing I really don't like about Forza Horizon is that you can't tune the car at all. You just put the upgraded performance parts on and that's it. Whereas in FM4 you could tune everything, gear ratios, suspension stiffness, dampers, brakes, etc.
  19. I run low to mid settings, ELS v7, LCPDFR, Braveheart's, PoliceHelper, towing service, a police station mod, all high poly police cars, SNT, a car dealership mod, modded guns, modded player skins, gun sounds, a siren. Very extremely rarely crash.
  20. So it seems anytime that I go to edit the handling lines for a car that I get, I'll change them and start the game. It loads the first menu where you select start then it shows the pictures of the characters in-game, but then it just crashes. It just says that a Fatal Error Occurred and just CTDs. I made backups of the handling.dat file so if it does this i can revert back to the originals, but I was just wondering why this happened. Not sure if it would help but here are my PC Specs off the top of my head: 2x 320 GB Western Digital Hard Disks 4x AMD Phenom(not sure the model) @ 2.75 GHz 4.00 GB RAM ATi Radeon 6700 (or 6750) Graphics card with 2 GB of dedicated RAM These are just rough guesses at what they are. Also, I know it isn't fantastic for GTA IV but it will have to suffice for now.
  21. Hope this helps. It is a step-by-step guide on how to import the skins for the cars. It also shows how to import the cars themselves.
  22. Am....am I ....AM I ON LSD?!!
  23. I'll have to give it a whirl later then. I get texture loss oddly frequently, not a whole lot, but enough to get on my nerves. I know why I get them, but if this may help cut down on that, I'll be a happy camper!
  24. So this makes GTA IV more stable and run with better FPS? OR just be more stable?
  25. Do you have Grand Theft Auto 4? If not you can't play because LCPDFR uses GTA IV, LCDPFR is just a script addon to the game. But if you do have Grand Theft Auto 4, run it, and when the game is loaded, press Alt+P to start LCPDFR and it will tell yo what to do from there.
