Losing textures?
Ok, so I installed a different car pack than what I had before, the first one I had, I don't recall the name, was around 450 mb and ran fine without any texture loss. I just now downloaded a new car pack that had the vehicles.img at 392 mb but I lose textures or the load really slowly. Any ideas why or how to fix? I run an ENB and did with the other one.

Garry's Mod
So last night my friend told me that I should download Gmod since it is only $12.49 because of the Steam sale. That's including Garry's mod and Counter Strike: Source. I had never played it before last night, and I played and really had fun! I was only playing Trouble in Terrorist Town, but it was great! Do any of you guys play Gmod? Since I finally have a PC that can run a game, I'm planning on getting Fraps or something to record with, and starting to record again. I'll probably start with a GTA IV video, then do a Gmod video or two. But yeah, do you guys play Gmod? Also, if you ever want to play GTA IV or Gmod, add me on GFWL: CRAWFORDx96 and add me on Steam: crawfordx96

changing skins on the cars
What do you mean change the liveries? As in on a police car, going from the stock LCPD one to a custom one? This is a tutorial on how to change the textures on the cars using sparkIV that I made: This tutorial is on how to add modded cars to GTA IV using sparkIV: Hope these helped!

GTA IV Windows 8.1 x86 Fix
Hello all, as you may or may not know, I was having great issues trying to get GTA IV to play on my new Windows 8.1 computer. Well, I found this guide and used it and my game now works! I figured I would type it up and leave it here for you guys to use in case you had the same issue(s) that I had. I found this on the Steam website, but I don't remember the link for it. Enjoy!! 1.) Install GTA IV from Steam as normal. 2.) Try to launch the game, copy the CD Key, and let its dependencies, GFWL, SecuROM etc... Once this is complete, Rockstar Games Social Club will launch. 3.) Create an account if you do not already have one, then press Play, either one will work. Now, GTA IV should fail to launch, if so, read on, if not, you're good to go! 4.) Go to Programs & Features (Uninstall a Program) and uninstall the Games for Windows Live Redistributable, but ONLY this one. 5.) Install the following GFWL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=201134 6.) Go to http://xbox.com/en-US/live and login with your Microsoft Account (Xbox login/GFWL login) Accept any new Terms of Service/Terms and Conditions 7.) Restart the system. 8.) Launch the Games for Windows LIVE app and login with your Windows ID when/if prompted to. 9.) Go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Grand Theft Auto IV/GTAIV 10.) Right click GTAIV.exe and go to Properties, then select the Compatibility tab. 11.) Select "Run this program in compatibility mode" and change it to, if necessary, to Windows 7. Also, select "Run as administrator" 12.) Reopen Steam and launch Grand Theft Auto IV. The Social Club window should appear and login again, selecting Play, online or offline, it doesn't matter. Your game should now load as normal and should work! Note 1: Once you get past the Rockstar Symbols at the initial start up, the screen may remain black for a short period of time. THIS IS NORMAL! Note 2: This is NOT my guide, I found it on Steam and I am simply reposting it here for the sake of others. I, NOR THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR, ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR MISTAKES THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT MAKE WHILE FOLLOWING THIS SETUP GUIDE! Note 3: I think the original author's name on Steam is Rage Valley, credit goes to him for this guide.

Best ENB
I *think* I am using the Game4Video ENB, but I am thinking of using a different one, I really like it though. Not sure what I'm going to switch to, maybe iCEhancer. But I do like the Game4Video ENB.

Installed but can't find.
I thought that GTA IV was required in order to even install LCDPFR. If you bought the game and installed it, it should be C:/Program Files (x86)/Rockstar Games/Grand Theft Auto IV. In there should be a file called LaunchGTAIV.exe, use that to launch the game. If you purchased through Steam, the file should be, C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Grand Theft Auto IV/GTAIV, in there the same LaunchGTIV.exe file should be present. If it isn't in any of those locations, try searching your computer for LaunchGTAIV.exe via the Search bar in your start menu. If that file is not present, then GTA IV is not installed. GTA is required in order to play LCPDFR because LCPDFR is a mod for GTA, not a stand-alone game.

It hasn't gone well..
Seriously! I got it working last night and I was all happy and what not. haha. I went nuts and added an ENB, and modded a bunch of cars. Lol. I can finally run GTA IV with everything on high/ very high with the highest resolution and everything pretty much maxed out. With an ENB too. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo happy! lol

Any1 else notice the 28 days sign next to LCPDFR possible clue ?
- Guys, I.....I need to get something of my chest..
If, that's on your chest, either A) flick it off and run the hell away. Or B) A spider on your chest means you're Spiderman and you're showing us your logo thing...- Any1 else notice the 28 days sign next to LCPDFR possible clue ?
It's probably just a countdown until December 29th, maybe it's Jay or Sam's birthday or something...- It hasn't gone well..
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what it was, but I finally got GTA IV working!!!!! YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! This topic may be closed.- It hasn't gone well..
I just tried it about a half hour ago. And I tried it 3 times last night while on the phone with Microsoft support.- It hasn't gone well..
I'm already running the latest version of GFWL. @Sonny236 I have GFWL downloaded, I have logged into it via the start menu shortcut, but I can't even get GTA IV to start up in order to log into GFWL in-game- It hasn't gone well..
Sorry for the caps, lock, I was entering a serial for another game. But I've set every executable file in the root folder to run as an administrator and in Win7 compatibility mode, but it still won't start. I've downloaded all necessary files/patches for the game to work correctly, and all patches as well, but it still doesn't start.- It hasn't gone well..
It literally does not start. It gives no error messages. Nothing. When I open Task Manager to see if anything happens, LaunchGTAIV.exe opens then immediately closes inside the Task Manager.- It hasn't gone well..
GTA IV doesn't even start. With or without mods. I have been running through customer support after customer support for 2 days.- ENB/iCEnhancer?
From my knowledge, iCEnhancer is the best, but I know there are a few ENBs that are custom made by people here, available in the downloads section. They used a combination of different ENB parts to get a good balance. I think there are also a few that focus just on ELS lighting.- It hasn't gone well..
It is a clean install. The only thing I have installed is LCPDFR. And I don't know why I installed it because I can't even get GTA IV to actually start without having any mods on it. EDIT:Is it also possible to downgrade my PC from Win8.1 to Win7? I hate Windows 8/8.1 and I'm going to assume that GTA's compatibility, or lack there of, with Windows 8.1 is going to be the root of the problem.- Please help
Everything should be where it should be. Do you have either dsound.dll or xliveless.dll installed in the root folder?- Please help
What folder are you choosing when you manually install LCPDFR?- Please help
According to the document, it says that there is nothing found. Where do you have LCPDFR installed to? Since it is Steam, it should be: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Grand Theft Auto IV/GTAIV- Please help
According to the about document, nothing is installed...Is the game a LEGAL copy? If it is not a legally purchased copy, no help will be given.- It hasn't gone well..
I have literally tried everything. I have contacted every possible customer support that was involved with GTA IV PC, (Steam, Microsoft, and R*) numerous times about my issue but nothing has arisen as to a resolution, and I'm turning to you guys for help. I have already talked to ineseri for a time about the problem I am having and he has helped my as best he could, and I greatly thank him for it. But the issue, I cannot get GTA IV to run on my pc at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled every component that ahs to deal with GTA IV, meaning GFWL, Steam, GTA IV itself, C++ 2005, and .NET Framework 4.5. I am running Windows 8.1 on a brand new computer. And by brand new, I mean I've had it from the factory for just under 2 days. I've run GTA IV in every compatability mode and as an administrator, but nothing is working. I really do love this mod, and the community itself, and it is soooo frustrating not being able to play. I have dealt with almost 10 hours of customer support and being put on hold, I am literally at my wits end. I've even resulted to doing a factory reset on the computer and reinstalling Win8.1 from scratch with the provided discs. I am looking for any sort of help at all possible. Blast! I still can't get it to work, rather than thread jack this topic, can you PM me? I have questions on how to get this working via Steam, and I've been going at it for about, oh 4 or 5 hours now. Thanks Iconography!- Win. 8 Compatible W/ GTA
If I have steam, still download the above link? - Guys, I.....I need to get something of my chest..
