  2. They haven't used the dark blue traffic/school safety paint scheme for years now - all of the newer cars have been painted white. Otherwise though, nice work on the texture.
  3. I've never seen one of the GO-4's in the older paint scheme before; that's pretty cool. I encourage you to release it as surely someone will get some use out of it.
  4. I've got three favorites, two of which can be seen in the below video. The Federal Signal 175-H beacon light on the second car in the line, a 1968 Plymouth Fury, and a Signal Stat 374 lightbar on the third car in the line, a 1973 Plymouth Fury. Additionally, the later NYPD-spec Aerotwinsonic sure is a beauty, though so are most of the other configurations based on the Aerodynic platform. ---- And of course, I'll always love the Streethawk and Twinsonic.
  5. That's definitely looking great, Lund, but it's more of a 1960s pack. The green/black/white livery was changed to light blue and white starting in 1973, and the uniforms changed to powder blue around that time as well. http://www.policeny.com/rmps1960s1.html http://www.policeny.com/rmps1970s1.html (Will there be an option to keep the game's standard hats in? The eight points on the hat hearken back to New Amsterdam's night watchmen, and the NYPD stopped using fully rounded hats around the turn of the century if I recall correctly.) Seeing the Marbella in the green/black/white livery with the mock Federal 175-H beacon and pulsator is pretty sweet (good idea substituting the Q for it)! I'm very happy to see another modder taking interest in this region and time period. BOVRILWares' classic police cruiser was great in the same vein. I always thought the Buccaneer looked similar to the Biscayne that the NYPD used in '66, minus two doors of course, and that the Voodoo could pass for a '68 Fury or early 60s Ford/Plymouth, some of which were 2-door at the time (but they had a red beacon-ray beacon on top and a siren mounted under the hood). Now if someone could figure out how to get a mechanical siren working with GTA IV's system that would be great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bkSV4PJydc ---- Any chance of seeing the 1970s leather-jacketed uniform?

  9. Ringo, you've outdone yourself this time, which is something because you normally outdo yourself on a regular basis in this thread, xD. I cannot capture the beauty of those three, the Belvedere, Cadillac Ambulance, and Mack Firetruck, in words.
  10. Scientific Prototypes developed the Mark VII siren; they were used primarily by the NYPD in the 1980s in Plymouth Gran Furys and early Caprices.

  13. I remember reading that the NYPD had ambulances specifically for shot/injured MOS at one point - you're probably close in saying it was a tester. The two Federal CJ184 beacons (I think) on top are pretty awesome if I do say so myself.
  14. You just won the internet right there. ALL OF IT. I can't even put into words how fucking awesome that post was.

  17. You'll fit in this thread just fine, Lund. ---- I can't remember if this was posted already, but here's a 1973 NJSP Plymouth Fury. Note the Twinsonic and black/white livery.
  18. The classic red spotlight is one of the most minimalistic and yet badass lighting choices out there.
  19. You just made me shed a tear of joy. Everything always needs more Twinsonics, no exceptions. Now if this and a DROT Aerotwinsonic/Aerodynic model were to be released unlocked down the line, the possibilities would be endless! *cough and maybe a Signal Stat 374 cough*
  20. That guy could have inadvertently made things much worse than they could have been. He distracted the officer while the perp's condition was unknown; there was the possibility for the perp to turn and begin firing. With that said, I appreciate that he supported the officer's version of events.
