I always try to use the 10 codes etc. whilst in MP games, it's just I sometimes have problems joining some of the others in the MP group. Such a pain. Anyway, Asuna, I'd be happy to work with you as the dispatcher. I look forward to it :)

The roadblock has already been suggested quite a few times before and the developers always say no.

This isn't GPM lol, they'll just PM you and ask you to remove it. Try PM'ing Sam, the project manager.

Like I said, we've been dealing with this error since RC2 came out and whether or not the user ran as admin it still came up with the error if read-only was checked. The original advice to remove read-only came straight from the developers. Since I originally experienced this myself, I should know. I ran as admin and still had to remove read-only status.

Yes, obut if the gta directory (especially the common/data folder) is read only the same error is thrown up. We've been dealing with this error since RC2 was released and its always been permisions. If the user has followed the troubleshooter, which they should of as this is in the support section then they will have the appropriate version of the .net framework.

Being built is different to being ported. Being ported is when the game is already available for consoles such as xbox, and it may be absolutely perfect and run like a babe. But someone comes and turns it into a PC version but does a poor job of it and causes it to run like poo on computer.

It's not the game that's the problem, its just a shitty port from the console. I've always found Nvidia to run cooler and have less issues running GTA anyway. You may have had other experiences though, and am not arguing which is better, just stating my opinion. Please don't take this the wrong way.

Check your firewall. GTA may not have internet access.

Actually, Nvidia cards run better with GTA 4. The drivers are more compatible. However, the latest driver at the moment for my GTX 560Ti was giving me problems so had to downgrade to a previous one. I have had 3 Nvidia cards, and have had no problems apart from the driver with the latest one. I owned a Radeon before and that used to overheat every other hour, I made sure it was clean and the fan was working as well as having good ventilation in my case, and the driver used to crash pretty often. I prefer Nvidia for their very good customer support as well though. Never had problems with getting through and any issues are usually solved pretty quickly.

I wouldn't have though .net framework would be a cause as its a permissions problem. The installer doesn't have the required privileges to install the new files.

The majority of modelers don't make the models from scratch. They convert them from other sources. If you don't have any CAD experience it may take time for you to learn and it's not something that can be learnt in a matter of hours.

Don't worry about it. Episode 10 was pretty good!

No he means disabling the keybindings, tutorial in my post above.... For example, pressing ALT+B no longer spawns a banshee. Also you can disable the trainer by pressing CTRL+ALT+D and enable it by CTRL+ALT+E

Have you tried doing it more than one? it may just be a one off problem.

In your GTA root, check if their are two files present dsound.dll xlive.dll If both are present, delete one. Please Note: xlive removes online cababilities so if you plan on playing online keep dsound and delete xlive.
