  1. ... Los Santos, Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay, Stab City, Grapeseed, North Yankton...
  2. Lots of improvements to the animations, although still some work to do in that regard. Hoping to send an update to the beta out this week. I've got the medics positioning themselves more or less in the right place now, i.e. not going through the motions 5 feet away from the subject. A few other improvements too, mostly internally with performance and such. Today's screenshot from testing: This firefighter probably got disciplined for inappropriate behavior on the job. Gotta watch where you put those hands, Mr. firefighter! (Slightly NSFW, hence in spoiler.)
  3. I need to figure out when a ped is not visible to the human player on their screen. I'm not talking about whether the player's ped has a line of sight to the ped, I'm talking about are there any pixels being displayed at this moment which belong to the ped. I would've thought the Entity.IsVisible or Entity.IsOnScreen properties would've done the trick, but both always seem to return true. Is there any way to do this?
  4. Could you just reskin the prison transport bus?
  5. And if you're not made of money, you can get something that'll play GTA just fine for way less than a 980. The GTX 970 and the AMD Radeon R9 390 are both great cards which go on sale often. Bigger issue is, make sure your power supply can handle it. You'll need at least a 500 W power supply for any better graphics card, and possibly more.
  6. The LSPDFR devs must know some way that works. When you put a ped in the back seat of your car, you can then pull them back out by pressing E twice. I wonder if @LMS can share how that works?
  7. Yeah I know what you mean about the delay. It takes a while for everything to populate, in large part because the script has to check every ped loaded in game to see if it's injured, and if so what the injuries are, before it can create the audio string (because the audio is customized to the injuries). I just tried swapping the order things happen, so the units start rolling and the notifications show on screen before the audio is processed. Doing this significantly reduces the delay - the notifications show up almost immediately, and the audio follows a second later. Thanks for the suggestion! This change will be in the next beta release whenever that happens to be.
  8. I can't find any jacking related tasks in the native DB or in RPH.
  9. The XML file defines which units can possibly respond and where. There'll always be one "first responder" (typically firefighters) and one "ems" (typically an ambulance). If you want to customize which vehicles respond where, you can do that in the XML file. You can also change the probability of a particular type of unit, so if you want say 50% chance of fire truck vs. fire SUV you can set that.
  10. So, apparently LCPDFR.com only allows you to send 10 PMs per day, and more than 10 people signed up for the beta. So, if you filled out the form for the beta and you haven't received a message with a link to download it yet, send me a PM with your email address and I will send you the info.
  11. No specific plans for that, although you could always choose to follow if you wanted. I might consider adding that in the future. For now there's too much other stuff to get working first though.
  12. The level of animation complexity in that mod is similar to what I've got, if not a bit more simple. I'm having the rescue peds go through the full motions of decrumpling the body, checking for wounds, doing CPR, etc. I also have the medics walk the patient to the ambulance if they survived, and the patient gets in the ambulance. Then the ambulance drives to the hospital after all patients are dealt with.
  13. Yes. As stated above, I haven't sent anything out yet. You will get a PM when it's time.
  14. Not sure what you're referring to, can you link me to it? Getting everything lined up right for the medic animations is challenging, but doable. In the first beta I'll be sending out soon the animations will not be perfect, but I wanted to get something out there for testing sooner than later.
  15. Just to let everybody know, I'm trying to fix a couple issues before I send out the beta. I also need to put together some very simple usage documentation and edit the XML file to only have stock vehicles, since I've got it full of custom add-on vehicles. Thanks to all who have filled out the form! I hope to get the first beta sent out in the next 24 hours. I do appreciate your patience and willingness to help. For your viewing pleasure, a moment from testing... "CPR TO THE FACE!"
  16. Detailed instructions will be given when I send the download link, including installation instructions, how and where to give feedback, types of testing desired, etc.
  17. Yep, I got your form submission. I'll be sending the files out probably tonight.
  18. Please fill out the form so I can get your information for the beta testing program!
  19. In vehicles.meta flags section, add "FLAG_EXTRAS_STRONG"
  20. Now accepting beta testers! The core functionality of the mod has been developed sufficiently to start beta testing. At this point there are a lot of known issues and not everything has been implemented yet. If you're interested in testing the beta, please fill out this form. Please provide accurate answers - this information helps me to understand what types of people are interested in the mod and how they would use it. None of the questions will disqualify you from the beta. As of right now, I still need to make significant improvements to the animations and ped behavior on scene. It's quite tricky, so a full release is a ways out. I also have yet to implement any settings configuration, so all the keybindings and other parameters are hard-coded. There is an XML file to set up station locations and response units. So, if you'd like to help beta test, with the understanding that as of this time the mod is playable but incomplete, please fill out this form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1MT4jVGA0ncxSNEFdlBrtbgbQKVRRhqSbJxKjxPe0V9c/viewform
  21. I'm thrilled that the scene lights actually work! Will there be working scene lights on the rear as well, or just the sides?
  22. Yep, I'm trying to get Better EMS released before I dive into development of Coastal Callouts.
  23. For people wanting different lighting colors, I've created red/amber/white, blue/amber/white, and amber/white versions of the lighting textures:
  24. I've added blue/white/amber and amber/white versions.
