  1. I remember that time. That was right around the first public prereleases of .95, right?
  2. You can arrest someone without pointing a gun. Switch to the baton (the baseball bat, if you haven't modded that), target them, and hit "E". That also lets you issue citations.
  3. MODERATOR NOTICE Belongs in Content Modifications; moving topic
  4. Question: I modified several of the files your script modifies. Do I need to manually merge them?
  5. One thing that still kind of freaks me out is that I can go on IRC and get live help with scripting from people across an ocean. That's just...awesome.

  7. Should that be "please do not edit *without* permission"?
  8. A real one, or a GTA one?
  9. I think I'll email the guy. I'll also ask if it's OK if we put images on imgur to share.
  10. That's what I was thinking, but it seems to work for some people.
  11. Damn. I might just have to email the site admin and ask why it doesn't work.
  12. 403 errors can't normally be fixed client-side. While it's technically classed as a client error (400-series), what it means is that the server is refusing to serve you the content.
  13. Whenever I see someone who's posted pictures from policecarwebsite.net, to any website (not just this one), the images don't work (and opening in new tab leads to a 403 Forbidden error). Does this happen for anyone else?
  14. This is an issue I've been having as well. In EFLC, there is only one safehouse, and my cars there are unmodded. And yet, I get SMPA60 errors when just driving around - they don't seem to be location-based, though. BTW, this belongs in GTA IV support, so I'm moving it there.
  15. DDS is a format specific to DirectX. PNG is a general image format. Renaming may work to "convert", I'm not sure. The way I always do it is import to an OpenIV texture dictionary (which can import either), then export as the desired one.
  16. ... And this is why I stay away from multiplayer games, except with people I'm actually friends with in person (not online).

We no longer provide official support for LCPDFR due to the excessive volume of duplicate requests received and the already large number of answered questions and resolved issues. If you need help with LCPDFR, take a look at our knowledgebase and the read-only LCPDFR support forum - please do not make topics asking for LCPDFR support. 18. The standard for *laptops* is approaching 8 GB. And there are big under-the-hood differences - Gaming console processors are optimized for graphical calculations, but normal computer processors are much faster at complex calculations.

  20. I love Visions, but actually don't like the Vision SLs (the flashy ones that the NYPD uses; original Visions are spinny). I like spinny lights. That's actually why I love the idea of the Vision SLR - it's a spinny LED, instead of the normal LED thing of replacing spinny with flashy (like what the Michigan State Police did).
  21. I think they actually make a lot more money on console versions. @jefflax: You know that standard gaming PCs are FAR more powerful than consoles, right? Consoles are better for games than comparably-priced computers, but home-built PCs are way, way superior machines. Console versions of games generally have lower quality settings than the PC version.
  22. Wait, is this or is it not solved? For people who search this in the future (hi!): The cause is likely that you are in the wrong .img file. This is easiest to do in EFLC, where there's an EFLC/pc/models/cdimages AND an EFLC/TBoGT/pc/models/cdimages folder. The TBoGT one overrides the other one, so any file found in the TBoGT image must be modified there to have an effect.
