  1. As long as you're screwing with people, you don't want to say RCMP?
  2. My favorite would have to be the Massachusetts State Police. @Slimory: Yeah, state police in the US don't have all that much variety in decals, it seems.
  3. You paid for it, correct? If so, I'd look at the official sources for support - they're under some obligation to let you use the product you paid for (possibly a legal obligation, but certainly an ethical one). If not, I would suggest "paying for it" as a first troubleshooting step.
  4. OK, you piqued my interest: I'm working on one. Right now, I'm just making it be a regular cop belt without gun or mags, and with the baton in cross-draw setup (like I've heard UK police use). The downside is that the jacket obscures the top of the baton, but that shouldn't be too big a problem (just assume the officer would push the jacket out of the way). EDIT: Update: Done. Just need to test IG. I might be interested in turning this into a UK cop with vest, but I have a couple questions: 1. UK cops wear radios that look more like old Nokia phones (brick phones with keypads) than they do American police radios, right? Does anyone know of a GTA model with a radio like that? 2. What equipment do UK cops have besides radio, baton, flashlight, and cuffs?
  5. I wouldn't recommend using some auto-installer, actually. Installing cars with OpenIV is really really easy (it's just drag and drop; I'm honestly not sure why *anyone* finds SparkIV easier to use), and it also lets you do much more with your mods (as it also lets you install texture mods).
  6. Congratulations, you just described the LCPD:FR 0.91 arrest system.
  7. I'm just steering clear until Google gives the all clear.

Role-play is actually primarily *about* making your own scenarios with what you have ingame.
  9. GlovePIE is pretty much the gold standard of input emulation; it's insanely flexible and powerful.
  10. You can actually hit the / button while driving with ELS lights on, and cars will pull over. / and ELS aren't mutually exclusive.
  11. I started out playing around with police car modding, still playing the bad guy. From there, I drifted onto GPM, and from there, found people talking about this "LCPD:FR" thing. That's how I found out. Speaking of which: I know it used to be LCPD:FR. Is it now just LCPDFR, no colon?
  12. I'm not linking you to that (BPM is a *notorious* mod thief, and as a result, one of the more hated modders). However, here is an Explorer with a Liberty lightbar released by UndercoverChicken, who *does* have permission and *didn't* steal the model.
  13. What's that light at the top?
  14. OK. When you post the video, could you also post this text tutorial? That way, people who can't play videos can still view it.
  15. Thanks for the tutorial! We have a Tutorials section (top bar); could you also post this there?
  16. He has credits. Why aren't they proper?
  17. Any clan clearly needs to use a CVPI, a new Ford Explorer, the new Taurus, a Tahoe, and an ESU truck. Reason: Those are the cars I personally like. [/sarcasm] More seriously: Your clan, your rules. There's no inherent advantage in one car over others; just pick cars you like.

  19. You and I must have a different of "photo real". It still looked like a game to me.
  20. When it's ready. PLEASE don't bug Caine about release dates. Actually, don't bug *anyone* about release dates. Even Rockstar can't stick to release dates, and their games are literally how the company makes money (so they have an actual obligation).
  21. What do you mean? EVCS would be something *you* would set up (well, anyone can set up EVCS for a car, but I assume the responsibility falls mainly on the modeler). That said, ELS would work fine as well. Especially with v7.

  23. EVCS (GPM's currently-in-beta ELS replacement; like ESS, except this one actually exists) doesn't use the extras system for lights. Instead, you specify coordinates in the ini, and it spawns coronas at those coordinates. As a side note: That an MX-7000? I'd love to see it in non-ELS with spinny lights.
