  1. You have to change light pattern type in the vehicle config file.
  2. I haven't used it in MP, so I can't help you with MP-specific stuff.
  3. Set PRML Type=rota in the vehicle-specific config file. If you don't know what that is, read the guide.
  4. They might be in express mode (that mode involves fewer keystrokes, so is recommended for MP under many circumstances). NOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE CRASHING: If you already had an ASI loader installed (which you did if you had LCPDFR), you don't need to install dsound.dll. If you had xliveless installed, *don't* install dsound.dll; it'll mess stuff up to have two ASI loaders.
  5. Modifying the config for cars is worth it. It's not a very long process, and the flexibility from each car having its own config is incredible.
  6. Yeah, actually read the guide. When I first got the tester copy, I had tons of questions for Caine, and it took some time to figure stuff out. Had the guide been done then, it would have answered the vast majority of those questions. It is really, really useful.
  7. LCPD:FR is focused on frontline police work (hence: First Response). Detectives and SWAT are very unlikely to happen.
  8. Yes, it does. Why yes, we did test this. A lot. The secondaries coming on first is by design (lighting stages); press Alt+J to cycle backwards through light stages (which will go straight to PRML). The cars apparently all have ELS set to off in the default config, so you need to change that. Also, for people with crashes: What ASI loader do you use? Tester authentication meant we all tested with dsound (that I know of).
  9. Not really. A video is annoying to play, and requires you to turn sound on (often), and you can't use it for quick reference or read it at your own pace. Text+pictures > video.
  10. Quick rundown of what I can remember: * SECL has new modes: ROTA (rotators, like ELS 6's ELS-H) [set extras 7,8,9 up like for ELS-H], MARQ (marquee, think "text on the back of the lightbar", like some highway patrol cars have to direct traffic) [each extra is a separate message], and LEDS/STRB (which treat secondary lighting as true secondary lighting, with the intent of extras 7 and 9 being [symmetric] normal lighting [i.e. not arrowsticks], with extra 8 flashing randomly and out of sync) [use extras 7 and 9 for a fairly symmetric pattern, and don't use 8 unless you *want* an out of sync light (which you might)]. * WRNL has a new possible mode: TKDN. In this mode, extra 5 would be headlights (which will end up flashing in sync like in a strobe mod, instead of flashing wig-wag style), and extra 6 would be takedown lights (for example, you might map 6 to a spotlight). But seriously, read the guide. It even has pictures (on page 14).
  11. Get patch 2 (version 1.1.2.0) from Rockstar.
  12. If you're a car modeler or are playing with config files, read the guide included in the download. It is quite helpful.
  13. Why don't you think SNT is compatible with your game? What version is EFLC.exe?
  14. There are pursuits. "Armed suspects fleeing" is a pursuit callout.
  15. It does work in practice. I have done it. A lot.
  16. Well, that contributed nothing, because this thread is entirely about doing ped customization without needing any sort of modeling software. Saying "I recommend 3ds max" is just pointless in a thread about what you can do without 3ds max.
  17. Because you looked at LaunchEFLC.exe, which no one cares about the version of. EFLC.exe is the actual game; LaunchEFLC.exe is the launcher.
  18. All the pattern designations have been changed. The old system divided patterns according to what they generally were (so A was left-right-left-right, B was out-in, etc.) The new system has the letter represent the type of lighting. Old X patterns will likely be E patterns now (I think most old patterns are now E patterns, actually).
  19. There is no EFLC 0.1.0.8. The first version was 1.1.0.0, and we're now up to 1.1.2.0.
  20. No, they've been unblocked.

  22. MODERATOR NOTICE Moved to GTA IV Support.
  23. Hit '/'. It triggers non-ELS lighting modes, but since ELS cars don't have coronas, the only part of non-ELS lighting that has an effect is the siren (which is silent on those lighting modes).
  24. LCPDFR also has the silent siren thing. One issue with it is that it could also stop traffic when you pull a car over.
