Charge Island shootout
OK. Thanks for the clarification. Is there a way to increase the distance I can drive away without the peds despawning?

Need some models for these cars
Enforcer: look in the Downloads section; CJ24 just made one with a full template (and I think with multi-livery support). EDIT: I should learn to refresh before I reply to a thread if I opened the thread a while ago.

Charge Island shootout
Whenever I get the Charge Island shootout callout, the "you can call additional backup units" text pops up MUCH sooner than normally (when I am on the bridge to Charge Island from Alongquin). I think I am fairly close to the actual shootout by straight-line distance, but I immediately have to turn pretty much directly away from the shootout, go through the tollbooth, and only then go back and get to the warehouse. Also, when I get there, there are no cars or peds, just a few weapons lying on the ground. Is this connected? I was thinking that the peds may be spawning because LCPDFR thinks I'm getting close, then, when I get far away, the game despawns them. If I use SNT to teleport there, everything works normally.

Saints Row 3 Cops Machinima (Sums up my LCPDFR playstyle)
I call that "Living up to the LCPD's reputation".

Is there such a thing as "off topic" in the Random section?

ELS Flashing Light's
What happened to it?

Hide aways
GTA IV uses ZModeler. And you would need an unlocked version, which most mods are not. Adding lights to corners still involves modelling. ELS uses extras to represent the lights; they are almost exactly like the ads on the taxis, but are rapidly spawned and despawned. Making a light requires making a model in the same shape.

Hide aways
Sorry, but adding lights requires changing the model. While the plain CVPI is now unlocked, most police versions are still locked, so you can't edit them. EDIT: What car were you thinking of adding hideaways to? There may be one with the same lightbar that has hideaways.

Police Skin/Model Mods
Just crossposting a GPM thread by Ridgerunner7 where he is modelling a campaign hat for stroopers. http://gtapolicemods...erunner-Designs EDIT: This is NOT my thread, mod or anything; ALL credit goes to Ridgerunner7.

Need a badass Graphics Card
They're also for CAD stuff and CUDA, I think. Regardless, they are meant for serious business (hence the price). Kinda like Tesla.
-
Gta iv support.
That is optimized for industry/CUDA/CAD, not gaming. I'd look more at the GTX line.

[RE-DESIGNED] Interference Texture Database
Other minor issues - The Mobile County Tahoe has only a (broken) link to the car file, and no link to the skin. Also, the Tahoe section has mixed Tahoes and Suburbans.

[RE-DESIGNED] Interference Texture Database
What you're listing as Charger 2011 is actually the Charger 2006-2010.

Gimp help.
What is the Photoshop tool to do this? That may help in looking for this.

Which one to select!!!
Is there a particular reason you don't want a gaming desktop and a general use laptop? It'd probably be cheaper. EDIT: And a desktop would certainly be much more upgradeable, so you wouldn't have to buy a new computer as often.

Police Skin/Model Mods
Tasers and a 1996 Crown Vic? Seems like a strange mix.

Can you change the controls on lcpdfr?
That's much less stable (and is completely unsupported); I would STRONGLY recommend not using it. You could use .91 if it is that big of an issue.

website?
You could look at webs.com; they let you get a free subdomain, and they have a website builder.

Noose vehicle reponding.
It makes sense for realism. SWAT teams frequently use unmarked cars.
-
System Requirements for the new 0.95 version.
That is always true. I second the recommendation for a desktop. It's generally much cheaper w/the same specs and better upgradeability. That last part is important - a desktop can easily have more RAM added, or even a whole new video card, WITHOUT a new computer!

Whats your opinion about police cars with ram bars?
As far as I can tell, rambars are mostly used to push disabled cars and protect the car in minor crashes (and are actually called pushbars or brush guards). Wraparounds may be designed for PIT, but most agencies don't seem to use them. Ramming (as opposed to PIT, which is a carefully controlled contact between the sides of cars) is often considered lethal force.
