  1. Also, we didn't see stuff from the officer's perspective. We really didn't see the suspect at all when the second group of shots was fired; we have no idea what he was doing. For all anyone watching the video knows, he was reaching for something in a pocket.
  2. Well, yeah, but they can do it if they/a dispatcher feels it is necessary (I would hope that stuff like "shots fired" or "shootout" would count). We were talking about PPM caring about traffic violations in an emergency response. Also, what Break said.
  3. The US has not ratified that convention; it has no legal power here.
  4. In the US, I'm pretty sure police responding to an emergency can go against oncoming traffic.
  5. PoliceWag's Taho now has competition!
  6. On the bridge connecting Algonquin, Bohan, and Dukes, specifically on the incline on the Dukes side of the tollbooth, I catch *EVERY* car speeding.
  7. Regardless, it's not worth finding out.
  8. Not the best mod ever. Idle Animation Mod is way better. This is still good, though.

Also, what's weird about towing is that it doesn't seem like it should be that hard...but then you start to realize that getting the attachments right is very car-dependent.

    IVDashCam has a radar feature.
  11. The LCPDFR installer covers all that you need for script mods. For ELS, you need ELS [shocker] and ELS-enabled cars. If you've installed LCPDFR, you have what you need to use ELS. If you want weapon or car mods, some sites to check out: LCPDFR.com gtainside,de gta4-mods.com gtapolicemods.com
  12. Eh. I kinda like taking someone who is devoted to something (in this case, rep) and explaining in a calm voice why they are wrong.
  13. Stop worrying about rep. If you stick around and are helpful, it will go up. Being helpful consists of making useful comments in other threads; the only real way to get rep from a thread you started is if it is a tutorial or mod release, and is not found elsewhere on the site.
  14. You don't live in the US, though. From what I've heard, European cops are pretty much all EXTREMELY professional and polite.
  15. The front pushbar flashes? Are you sure it is an ELS-enabled vehicle?
  16. FBI and noose are both spawned as NOOSE backup. Actually, I normally get FBI when I call for it.
  17. Stolen from a police forum: "Hint: Its function is contained in its name." Basically, it pushes cars, typically disabled ones that are blocking the road. It is NOT typically for ramming cars during pursuit (most ramming besides PIT [which can't use a normal pushbar, only a wraparound, and which doesn't need either one anyway] is considered lethal force at a lot of departments).
  18. What, CJ's? That's actually an Arjent (aka the LAPD light bar).
  19. No dice. The model for the white cop heads is missing, so you can't have white default cops. In EFLC, there is a whole different model used (white, Chinese, Latino; not white, black, Latino, like IV was supposed to be). Custo has a mod where he took the prison guards from TLAD - who are the same as the original cops, but with the white cop head, and long sleeve and leather jacket only (no short sleeves or raincoat) - and reskinned them with LCPD (Olanov used a modified version for thin security guards) Barring someone making a model edit, you can't have white cops with the full range of shirts/coats.
  20. I pretty much never see a .wtd released without a .wft to go with it. The template is often the only texture in common between 2 versions of the same car. If someone releases a Charger skin as a png, it works on all Chargers (as in, police Chargers based on Caine's model, which is all the ones you're likely to see as cop cars); if it's a .wtd, it's extremely dependent on the specific model to work.
  21. I start shooting when they try to open the door. I think that's probably closest to how a cop would handle being dragged out of their car in real life.
