  1. Actually I have on par or better hardware, depending on if you're an AMD fanboy or not. I have a faster Intel Core i7 processor and a 670 which is about a 5% difference in performance from the 680 on average. This thread is pretty useless, dude. You could've summed it up with a sentence rather than a video. "If you want to play GTA IV well, get an expensive gaming PC."
  2. That doesn't guarantee no crashes, FYI. It just mean you can play at high detail levels.
  3. It's not a gaming laptop. You might be able to run it at medium or something, unmodded, depending on how big the monitor is
  4. Bought myself stuff for Christmas. Pretty low key, only a couple of things this year since I have bills to pay.

  6. The graphics card's garbage, that's what's doing it to you. No amount of tweaking will make the FPS any better, you just have to lower your details or upgrade your graphics card.

  8. He'd have a 100,000+ mile CVPI with stripped out police features and crappy rims?
  9. Pro tip: Christianity isn't the only religion in the world, nor is it the only one that portrays people who have the power of immortality.
  10. Only JAM holds the secrets to immortality, not you.
  11. There was a huge infestation of them up here last summer. This one there were barely any to be found. Good riddance. I smashed a ton of them because they kept bugging me bouncing around while I was doing anything in my house. I hate when people bring over bugs and crap from other countries. Same way we got killer bees here, kind of. Someone took some from Africa, decided to cross breed them, and then conveniently managed to let them break loose and go off on their own and take over other, more docile hives. Luckily where I live bees would die in the winter, so it's not as bad as if I were in a southern state like Texas or California.
  12. *Sigh* Someone had to post this. It doesn't even need a caption.
  13. Does that mean if I constantly upgrade my PC, then I'll be immortal?
  14. 1.) Not that I'm aware of. and 2.) Not that I'm aware of. To elaborate on #2 a bit more, free roam in Mafia II was nearly useless. Free roam became a bit more interesting when the expansions or DLC or whatever you want to call it came out, revolving around the main characters best friend. I never bothered with it though, so I couldn't give you any more details.
  15. I've never heard of that movie, or anybody who stars in it. Good luck with your car, though.
  16. Because there isn't a large Portuguese speaking population on this website. Maybe the founders will consider it. (Porque não existe uma grande população de língua portuguesa sobre este site. Talvez os fundadores irão considerá-lo.)
  17. That's because it's Windows 8. A new interface for new functionality. Windows 8.1 added a start button and now has an option to boot straight to the desktop. I've been running Windows 8 since April and I don't have a problem getting around in it. At the end of the day it's exactly the same as Windows 7 but with a tablet-esque start screen. I'd suggest you suck it up and learn the few differences because Microsoft has made it clear they're not going away in the next OS. That being said, you can use some of the mods mentioned to make it feel a bit more like Windows 7, or you can be a dinosaur and format your whole PC to put a copy of Windows 7 on there. Neither of those two are good solutions if you plan to continue using Microsoft products however. You may want to consider an Apple or a Linux based computer if you don't game a whole lot.
  18. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I would have taken a photo so I could shame her publicly. Since you didn't do that, you'll just have to tell her to fuck off and then move on with your life as normal.
  19. You can check for corrupt OS files with an SFC scan.
  20. Run an SFC scan to see if there are any OS corruption errors, and if that goes smoothly, run a diagnostic test on the hard drive. Please use Google before you ask me how to do either of those things.
  21. The rear lights are intended to copy the style of the original Charger, which looked great, but that's because it went along well with the original body type. Ford is doing the same thing but at least they're actually changing the shape of the car with it. Slimory, if you wanna see plastic, buy a Corvette ZR1. lol It's a hell of a car though, it's just not meant to take bumps.
  22. Russia played a major part in winning the war in Europe against the Germans because of their great numbers. The German military was undoubtedly the best trained in the world from 1939-1944, and they were also the best equipped form 1939 to 1942. But they took on too many countries at once, and they provoked one country that had nearly unlimited human resources (Russia) and one that had nearly unlimited industrial resources (America). It took the allied countries years and years to bring down Nazi Germany to its knees, but it finally happened due to numbers. One German solider fighting on the Eastern front writing in his diary can be paraphrased as saying "A large bull elephant can stomp all over attacking fire ants, squashing thousands at a time, but will eventually be taken over and eaten alive by the sheer numbers of them." That all being said, I'm not saying that the Chinese army is unbeatable, far from it. But it's not a fight worth picking because it's going to cost way too many casualties and city devastation around the globe.
  23. Let's wait for a full news report and/or dash cam footage of the chase w/ radio chatter instead of speculating on why the cops did what they did, shall we? That beind said, I don't like the LAPD. A lot of big agencies have problems with "quality control" among the people they hire.
