  1. We don't get many hurricanes or tornadoes either.
  2. No. Spend some $$$ or you won't get results.
  3. Northern states have government resources to deal with snow and snow removal, a budget to pay for it all and drivers who understand that weather conditions effect the way you car behaves. Some southern states don't have any of those things, and that's why everyone's freaking out.
  4. Yes it is. It's supposed to be 50F here as well next week. Anything around 35-40F feels pretty good to me right about now. I got a bunch of new hiking gear I'm dying to use but it's not exactly bright to do that when the trails are being covered with snow and when it dips to 7F at night.
  5. You're not missing anything great, trust me. It's nice to look at, but it's not useful to us outside of that. I'd probably still rather have snow than Floridian hurricanes, or Californian earthquakes though.
  6. I don't think there are any statistics you can pull up to prove that. I did find some that say almost as many people left North Carolina to go to another state as people who came to North Carolina from other states and from another country combined: http://www.migrationinformation.org/datahub/state.cfm?ID=NC#2 I don't dislike the topic, I'm just sick of people saying how "crazy" 4 inches of snow is. They need some perspective.
  7. Yup. Read it and weep: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/12/15/worst-drivers-states/4025109/ Your state is 7th worst in a nation of 50 states.
  8. Actually I do get updates on how much snow you get down there. Have you heard of a program called 'The News'? It reaches beyond the borders of my state sometimes, especially when other states are calling in the National Guard and declaring states of emergency for snow that doesn't even reach peoples hub caps. There's black ice on the roads here any night there's any precipitation and it gets to 35F or below. Only when the ice melts, and the roads have dried out does that go away. As far as I'm concerned, any real danger in the southern states blamed on the winter conditions are actually caused by their drivers.
  9. Stop the presses. Southern folks: Much love, but there are no shortage of pickup trucks where you live. Attach a plow, get to work and stop crying. I drove to work during the vortex this year, and only the MA driving ban stopped me from driving anywhere during last years 26" storm.
  10. Your CPU will probably end up bottle necking what you graphics card could do, FYI. But you can't do much else since you can't change what socket your motherboard has without scrapping it. lol
  11. You can hit the horn yourself. I'd prefer it if no officers talked when hitting 'Shift'.
  12. Everything's fine on that but the graphics card. Here's a review of it, if it will make any sense to you: http://www.techradar.com/us/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/graphics-cards/sapphire-radeon-hd-7730-1gb-gddr5-1188217/review This is what it looks like This is what a real graphics card looks like Again, you're spending too little. Don't worry about the fancy case or cool names. You need a good graphics card if you want to have nice details.
  13. Just another day in back bay. At least the black guy running stereotype has been shattered (this guy sucks at it). He tripped on a 3 inch curb.
  14. Stop... buying... stuff... at... Walmart. Take everyone's advice and go to a website that actually deals with gaming PCs and spend some money. You're not going to get the results you want the way you're going about it.
  15. Not Walmart. And you're paying too little. Gaming computers don't cost $500, otherwise everyone would have one.
  16. No. This topic has been beaten into the ground more times than I can count.
  17. That's not a gaming computer, but good luck with it.
  18. Same. lol That's hot stuff.
  19. I don't think your CPU is up to the task.
  20. Multiplayer always yields the best moments. Especially multiplayer griefing/trolling:
  21. lol @ Alabama and Georgia a few days ago. Traffic jams and abandoned cars all over the highway like a scene out of The Walking Dead because people can't drive in 2 inches of snow.
  22. I'm curious if it will even work on your PC properly. Look at the supported OS's. Windows ME is the most modern one listed there.
  23. Making fun of someone else's stupid thread. The OP probably won't get the joke anyway. Well done anyway, Darkangel.
  24. Oh a snow photo thread! I've got some! Those are all ones I took with my smartphone around my house. Chevy = my daily driver, Ford = the plow truck.
