  1. Thanks Jay, and thank you for posting that on the main page. I'll work on some more as time permits. (Today was a day off for me, but I'll see what I can get done in between work shifts.)
  2. Chevrolet Corvette C6 or the new ZR1 currently, but they have new models each year.
  3. Already did in the 'post your specs' thread. I'd close this one and just focus on that, personally.
  4. If you're referring to the beta video, police AI use their lights more often than in.91, but it's still hit or miss.

No, Photoshop is not free. Elements is about $80, full CS5 goes for about $800.
  6. Hello all. I got a couple of requests recently to do a walkthrough of the new gameplay, so... here it is. The video is still processing so quality may improve if you watch it a half hour from now or something. But this is a real look into what the mod is like. As a reminder, this is a beta, so just like I'm sure the devs don't want, I don't want to hear any bitching about the glitches now that the Beta release is public. This mod has some issues that need to be worked on, the original testers including myself will make sure they are addressed. At any rate, enjoy the video. Also an FYI: I'm an American, so I may sound different in my commentary than other members of our community. :whistling:
  7. Appears as though it's near impossible for me to resurrect someone now, and as usual Ambulances either don't show up or they just drive past the blood bath at the end of a shootout. lol I used to be able to solo-res an entire crime scene. I wouldn't put it past myself to hit a wrong button combo. Just using Alt & M right now.
  8. Yeah, you can count on it. I can't stand to do any more recording since it's almost 4am here. I can barely play lol. But I had some fun arrest, chases, and glitches. I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
  9. Single core CPU's are not supported by GTAIV or LCPD:FR. More than likely you have a Pentium 4, which appears as a multi-core CPU because of its 'HyperThreading' technology, basically telling Windows that it has multiple threads (if you go to your 'Task Manger' it might look like your computer has multiple cores). GTAIV will run on a fluke due to HyperThreading tricking Windows. Apparently it can't trick the scripts in this mod. That's my best guess anyway. Either way, it's time for an upgrade, friend. Your computer was outdated in 2006, and obsolete in 2009. :pinch:
  10. You can see if you have the latest .net framework version by Googling it and Microsoft should offer a download for it.
  11. I used to have a Taxi & Police Cruiser bug, but he says they're stacking on top of each other, that's a different problem. Also, blacksabbathbr, is that computer a laptop or a desktop? And what's the processor? I'm guessing since you said 2.6GB, it's a laptop. Your graphics card does not have 2.6GB of ram, your computer is factoring in shared memory that your computer can "donate" to help out. So really you're working with 1GB of graphics memory.
  12. Another (less realistic) alternative is to do a gunpoint arrest, then stand over the person on the ground, and hold Alt & H. That stands them up as if it was a normal arrest, and they won't run. You can then cuff them, walk them to your car, all that other crap.
  13. Yeah I've been experimenting with commentary videos for a while since I haven't seen any on this forum from any U.S. players. Nothing wrong with it, but this mod seems largely European based. I'm glad people outside the U.S. take interest in our law enforcement though. Gives me something else to be proud of as an American. At any rate, I'm still wondering if I should tell my life story like NBGamingVids does, or do short clips like you had in mind. :whistling:
  14. There's been a few topics on this. AI police do not know how to handle ELS lights very well. Most units that you call for backup in any situation will have their lights on. Police cars that simply pass by, or ones that join a pursuit in progress generally do not. This is how it's been for months in version .91. .95 works a bit better with ELS for some reason, as you'll see a lot more cars use their lights. You can also attempt to force cars that don't use their lights to turn them on using a little script called 'ELS Fix'. You can toggle them on or off using the '[' and ']' keys. It's usually not effective against cars with AI police in them because they fight for control for the lights. But the rule I mentioned above applies. If they are called backup units, they are supposed to have their lights on, 'ELS Fix' will usually work if you hit it. If they are random units, 'ELS Fix' usually will not do anything. If the cars are abandoned, ELS Fix works fine because there are no AI police to fight with for control. With .95 being released, I think ELS has been more worth it than ever due to the added realism and the fact that more cars use it willingly now with increased stability. I think the script could use a total re-write though. Either that or more cooperation between G17 and the ELS team/one man team.
  15. I'll get some more material up eventually. I just thought that little pursuit was noteworthy because of how little time it took to jump right into action.
  16. Yeah just about. heh. Maybe I'll make a montage of them after I get a few of those kinds of clips. When life gives lemons, make lemonade, right?
  17. Yeah it's a great effort. Loving the new features, just need to iron out some AI problems. The chase after it was a total clusterf--k. Not watchable unless I labeled it as a blooper reel.
  18. This should be a good example of what to expect as far as the good times go in this game. This clip was not edited together. This is literally what happened a few seconds after I walked out of the station. Didn't even get a chance to get to my car. lol

Photoshop CS5 is certainly the industry standard for all vector based image creation & editing. Very powerful tools.
  20. Either of you two Florida officers from Broward County? I have some family there and that was the area the first COPS episodes ran. They make it look like it has some action going on there. Brevard County has plenty of episodes down there too. I hope you both spread the good word of 'LCPD:FR' to the rest of your fellow officers who like video games.
  21. I'm surprised nobody posted this one yet. 187 on an undercover cop (Deep Cover).
  22. Sharing that is copyright infringement I believe. If you share it, I'd do it through private message or STEAM or something so we don't get these boards in trouble.
  23. Nice work on the trooper. have the Sheriff Vest dude? Didn't see a link for it.
  24. Why not let the devs release it on their terms? They don't want a buggy version at all.
  25. They have outlined in a post why they keep it closed. It's because they are a team that looks to release a quality product to the masses. A buggy, unstable, difficult to understand product is not mass marketable. And while they're doing this for free, G17 is still a company, and integrity is important. Let them make their product on their terms.
