game wont start after weird
As far as I know you have to do it on install or you can't after. Maybe there's some sort of config file edit I don't know about. But it would be faster to just re-install it.

how to order my partner to hold fire?
No, there's no way around it other than to not have a partner with you. Most people who pull a gun towards me I shoot anyway by reflex. I use the tazer only if I think of it, or if the person is fighting with their fists or a club or something. If they have a gun: It's on. lol

You can also do as I do and simply not download a save game, just play GTA IV normally until you get the cell phone from Roman. When you start up LCPD:FR, all the islands are unlocked so you can go drive wherever you want so you don't have to go through the entire game again. I already beat it once on XBOX 360, I really don't feel like sinking time into it again.

How i can change the siren for gta 4
We can all try this:

ELS V7
GTAPoliceMods said it's discontinued. No ELS V7.

ActionDistrict.com (former private server website) had a whole thread dedicated to how much money people got back from EA as a gesture of good faith. lol Be persistent. EA is made of money and realize MMO players are serious business both figuratively and literally. **EDIT** Crap, sorry for double post. 5AM here.

EA sent out a BIG wave of warning letters a few weeks ago. It said you needed to change your EA network login credentials immediately due to a security breach, otherwise your account could get jacked. A lot of gaming websites like Kotaku had news headlines about this too. Looks like your account may belong to a hacker who changed your info, brother. :ermm:

How i can change the siren for gta 4
Reading the readme requires reading though...

A Good Modded Vehicle Set Up CRASH FREE!
I'll consider giving that a try later. Last time I tried to work with non-els cars, they police still would not turn on their lights, as if ELS was still active.

How i can change the siren for gta 4
Yes it is, it's just not a polite reason. :turned:

A Good Modded Vehicle Set Up CRASH FREE!
Halogen only requires ELS V6 though, which is less stable than ELS V5. Also wont the lights look dramatically different?

How i can change the siren for gta 4
Example conversation: How do I flush the toilet? Use the handle. Where's the handle? On the toilet. Yeah but how do I flush it though?

Traffic Stop Suspect Doesnt like his ticket...
I'm from the area (Mid-Northern New England). Do you know the guy personally? I'd love to hear his reaction about the video of himself.

Road blocks?
I like the sound of it. Anything anyone can think of in game that lays flat on the road that could pass as stop sticks? Perhaps we can alter the caution blockade models to be the top piece only, just a bit slimmed down so they look the part? Problem is do we edit something in game or is it possible to create another model so we don't ruin the blockades in parts of the city?

Stangest Traffic Stop Ever.
People pull out guns all the time on me when I shoot out their tires. People once in a while try to take off from me from a dead stop once I reach their door, and if I shoot one or two tires out, sometimes they suddenly stop, get out and pull a weapon. I shoot them in the head before they can raise it and fire at me usually. Just like in one of my walkthrough videos.

"Fix" for Excessive Police Backup During Pursuits
Break, I think you're being a little aggressive here. I agree that the amount of cars that join up gets a little excessive. In real life, it would be fine because the cars don't floor it and they fall in line. In the game they do not. Say what you want about polygons but this mod is more about how many vehicles bashing around the street we want to put up with. Remember that screenshot 1adam put up showing all the vanilla cars? It was a total clusterf*ck at the end of the chase. Suppose I call backup 3 times and then over a long chase I pass a bunch of stragglers? That's not fair to say "you should only get this, you're doing it wrong". My frame-rate actually doesn't suffer badly enough after a chase with a bunch of cars to piss me off. It's just about how many cars I'm willing to dodge to avoid dying when I try to pull the driver out. Thank you all for the mod here. Great thinking. I might try this later.

Question for everyone???
When someone is laying injured on the ground, just make sure you revive them instead of heading to the hot dog vendor on the side of the street like the AI ones in GTA IV. lol
-
Road blocks?
Well, I certainly am tired of chasing a mugger right past NPC cops on the sidewalk and just letting them sail on by. lol Not a bad thought.

Gunpoint Traffic Stop.
That isn't very realistic. I think we were talking felony grade traffic stops here. Suspect has to walk backwards towards the person with the P.A. system and then gets handcuffed from behind. Logically that shouldn't be too hard. We already have the technology to direct where the peds go, and the behind the back handcuffing animation, so I think it's just a matter of time now.

Cutting Down on Police1 and Police2 Spawns
I thought it was meant to do both actually, because the only cars that spawned in-game prior to me installing it were taxis and cop cars. Loads of them in big lines. I'd at least try the script and see if it solves anything.

Does anyone go strictly no ELS?
The CVPI's are supposedly ripped directly from Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (2010), as are a couple of other cars currently floating out there on the internet. What exactly is it about the game that can't handle high poly counts? That should be up to your graphics card and processors ability to cope with them. Does it come back to memory dumps not taking place frequently enough and then build-up over time will ruin it? Why not make a script that forces them? Better yet, fixing the ELS glitch that leaves abandoned police cars behind might be helpful too, or "removing" the normal traffic CVPI units and replacing them with a different cars after a certain distance. Or probably even limiting the number of CVPIs that can join a chase in LCPD:FR. I think everyone here can agree that he AI cars get a little out of control, mods or no mods. Too many things slamming into each other, pedestrians, buildings, running you over, etc. A finite number of how many normal traffic cops will "stick with" the chase could be established, and from then on increased only when you hit the 'F12' button if you feel you need more help. There should all be easily achievable things logically. But, I won't claim to be a know it all since I don't know exactly how much control over the game we really have. And I'm sure everything I mentioned have their negatives. But, I think I can safely say that most of my crashes are not due to high polygon count models. I'd agree to that theory if the game lasts without crashing for a prolonged period of time like it used to sometimes in .91. But crashes (which are fairly infrequent) are happening earlier on than they used to, probably due to a couple of small glitches. I'm willing to put up with them for the new content. The way I see it, it's worth it. Rather, the thing that takes away from it are the random "breaking" of things like the arrest and backup buttons, the entrance to the police station, etc. That forces me to restart the game, full on crash or not. However, I expect us to iron out those things with time. That's what the betas are for after all.

Can't the TrafficFlow mod do that for you?

Hints & Tips Thread
Glad to hear the devs listened to the domestic disturbance request on the suggestions forum.

Stangest Traffic Stop Ever.
I believe '3' causes them to use deadly force unless they are at very close range and by chance don't feel like shooting. I wonder if the 2nd guy got gunned down when you turned your back. lol
