  1. Upgrade to version 1.0.7.0 (your HQ mod will stop working, sorry), and we don't accept support requests for .95 if that is indeed your version. Read my signature.
  2. What county in Nevada? Also Sheriff's Office & State Troopers are different entities. Nice looking skins.
  3. Part 2: I'll wrap this video series up. Pretty lengthy, but at least you'll get an idea of the variety of calls you can get out there and what glitches show up the most. Pretty important insight for devs as well as people who don't have .95 Beta 1 installed. Sorry my commentary isn't too exciting, not much I could do but play. Part 3: There we go. And thanks for updating the website with my new video again Jay, I appreciate it.
  4. Everyone seems to forget that police are people. Just like all of us. They have personalities. Some of them look at their job and think of it as just a job. Some of them think of it as a career and put a bit more into it. Some of them look at it as their calling in life, and have passion for it. That can make a difference between a cop who responds to a BDV and writes a report, one who responds to a BDV and gives the victim a card with a number to call for help, and one who checks in on that victim once in a while to see if they're doing alright. A person who follows up, so to speak. It's usually the first of those three that gives police a bad reputation as ticket givers, fear breeders and just plain a-holes. Every officer has a different personality, and you're going to see it on every call response and every traffic stop. A lot of my peers hate police. And that saddens me, honestly. I've only had one bad experience with a traffic stop, and it hasn't detoured me. My interest in the job is genuine. I'm not sure if I should call it curiosity or not, but I think I'd feel good while on the job. Something I'd enjoy doing down at an emotional level, which would make me strive to be a good worker, and someone who gives a damn. And that's the most important thing for me if it's a career that I follow for the rest of my life. I need to enjoy it and have fun with what I'm doing.
  5. Favorite far in favorite color, should have thought of getting a picture up here before: I'd still like someone to make an undercover Corvette cop car for me. I have a mustang but I want the Vette. I even have the model for a good vette sitting on my HDD, just have no idea how to install a light bar (an undercover one, not one on top).
  6. Why do fools fall in love?
  7. Bottom line is VB alone won't do it for any substantial applications like games or highly functional programs like big business or general consumer applications by itself. But it is a good launching point.
  8. No, as stated above it is not yet for download. Because it uses text from someone else's skin, I need to get permission before I can release it.
  9. No, I've never had an issue with that, although I've heard some complaints about this before from others. A fix will probably be ready by the time of final release. I'm guessing what xGessx said was correct, and that it's CPU intensive due to the fact that it has to spawn multiple AI police cars, possibly a copter if the chase is bad enough, a crazy AI driver potentially with an AI partner wielding a gun, plus the officers have the ability to call for backup themselves (or so I assume, since random NOOSE units will show up without my asking, not complaining about that feature though). And that doesn't even figure in things like higher polygon count car mods that put more strain on the CPU and GPU, as well as ELS, ENB or any other after-market crap if you happen to have any of those things enabled. I run everything I mentioned short of ENB and I don't have issues, but I blew between $1,200 - $1,400 on my system a couple of years ago, so it was built with the intention to run most games at max settings for the next 3-4 years. Not everyone buys that kind of hardware, especially for those of you that aren't in control of the household budget. :whistling:
  10. Liking the idea of the car, but there are two unit numbers on there, one on the trunk and one on the roof, I'd remove one of them. Also the font and logo on the side doors are pretty small and hard to read. I'd make that bigger. Lastly, and this isn't your fault: I hate those rims lol. It's like if the "Latin Kings" gang got a police force of their own. All you have to do is paint them gold and put some spinners on them and you're in business. Maybe lower the suspension a bit. I believe that comes stock with that particular CVPI model however. Just a personal preference. On the SWAT uniform: Awesome conversion (although its already been done to death). I'd only use that skin for Noose Helicopter backup. I'd never wear a helmet to a traffic stop.
  11. I typically ask this to every police officer I meet, even casually: Do you like your job? Would you recommend it to others?
  12. Visual Basic is a good programming language for beginners (hence the word basic in the name, and visual because the program shows you where your mistakes are), but G17 does not use VB for their mod, nor do most professional application developers. I believe G17 use a variant of 'C'. C#, if I remember correctly. The language most commonly used in big time applications for full scale development is C++. You can also try experimenting with JavaScript, as the syntax is very similar to C++, making it easier to adapt. You also might consider trying web scripting before anything else. Learn ActionScript, learn PHP, CSS, Java, stuff like that.
  13. I'd try, but knowing a bit of programming logic, the script is probably only written to take vehicles from a pool of twenty. So the script would have to be altered to accomodate the new .INI file.
  14. I guess you all will have to wait until a TrafficFlow V6 comes out. :whistling:
  15. Thanks for sharing that information. lol
  16. It seems so. In any case, as I mentioned in my latest personal message, the request for permission has been sent. I will upload the file once it has been cleared.
  17. Actually no I haven't. I've been killed by that suicide call guy many times until I figured out you had to tap y repeatedly, not just press it.

I got some help changing my lights to blue on my cars also. The only one I have left over as Red/Blue is the unmarked cruiser which I think I may leave alone. We'll see.
  19. Looks great, I'm excited to try it.
  20. I miss the old F key layout and up and down for selecting was what I was used to, but I can adapt.
  21. Looks like World's Wildest Police videos was slightly off then.
  22. I told you to ask about the unmarked cruiser in that PM, which I used as a base for my slicktop. I did not tell you to ask for mine. Sunday is a day off for me, so I'll get a chance to write the e-mails and finish my second walkthrough video.
  23. Quick update for everyone: You can expect a part 2 video, probably tomorrow evening. It's longer than the first one (it seemed shorter when I recorded it), but will contain some more game play, and a couple of other glitches are shown off. It should be a nice video for people who currently are using version .91 due to problems getting their copy of .95 Beta 1 working properly. I decided to use the traditional CVPI with the light bar on top, rather than the slick top, and I am on the second island for a change of scenery. *EDIT* Date changed to Sunday evening.
  24. Kind of redundant messaging me and then also making a thread on it. I'll try to clear the air publicly as best as I can with the following statement: The cars are mine, with a skin I designed in Photoshop CS5, nobody else has them currently. They use a couple of components from other cars out there. They are: 1.) The SFPD CVPI cruiser's unit number on top as well as the CA Exempt plate on the back, which I may change before public release. 2.) The FL license plate on the "slick top" cruiser (which is a modified Unmarked CVPI unit which I explained in the video), I would like to also change this plate before public release. 3.) The D.A.R.E. logo and the unit number used by the East Bridgewater Massachusetts cruiser on GTAPoliceMods and GTAInside. Those three items are taken from other authors work (although none of those things technically belong to them), so before I distribute them, I will need to ask permission, I can send out e-mails tomorrow when I get a day off. I've also had requests for my Sheriff outfit. I am not releasing that currently, since it's not "finished". The patches on the shoulders are not in a perfect circle, and I want the model to look 100% presentable before I release it to the public. I'll work on both of these for you all, but I need a little patience. Thank you all for the positive comments. I hear your requests, and I'll work on them for you.
  25. I've never edited anything in GTA IV heavily. I've just changed text and logs on patrol cars and skins so far.
