  1. Hey guys, I'm back to playing LSPDFR again after a very long break. I've noticed that in the latest version of LSPDFR, you can no longer navigate any of the menus using the numpad keys. Instead it requires the arrow keys, which I use for ped and vehicle movement. This is causing major issues when trying to navigate menus while interacting with peds. Is there any way to change this? If not, are there any plans to address it? It's kind of a game-breaker for me, as I have always used the arrow keys for movement in every game I've ever played.
  2. I was afraid this would be the answer to this question. I prefer not to use ELS either, it's definitely a well built mod (I did try it), but it's just my personal preference not to use it. Since most of the vehicles released now will be ELS, there won't be too many new vehicles made for us in the minority that want to stick to vanilla lighting or another lighting pattern mod. Ouch.
  3. Aww darn. Well, thank you for everything you do to keep the site running, it's greatly appreciated. Been dying to try out my new Park Ranger vehicle all day, but I guess I can wait for the callouts I need :-)
  4. I hope it won't be too long, I finally got some play time today and desperately would like to get a copy of the Wilderness Callouts to try my hand at being a Park Ranger. Can't seem to find that callout pack anywhere else :-(
  5. Very nice model. I'm actually gonna try it on my fleet and see how it looks, so I'll definitely make skins for it. I'll add it to the next update as well. And it looks like Carper just uploaded the model here to LSPDFR.com too.
  6. They've always been nice to me, but I'm smart enough to know that starting off an inspection with an attitude is a battle the trucker will lose every time. So far, I've never had an issue with a DOT officer from any state being less than professional, and they're a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts if you can catch one in a talkative mood LOL. It's probably a great job, assuming you have a thick enough skin to handle it when a trucker (or anyone else for that matter) decides to get an attitude the moment you stop him. And some of them will test your patience for sure. We have more than our fair share of jerks in this industry. Also remember that there are risks to the job too - you'd still be a police officer with a firearm and subject to the nutcases out there. And there's the risk of conducting traffic stops on the side of 70+ mph highways. Personally, I think it would be a cool job, but my psychological profile indicates that those who committed crimes and ran from me and forced me to chase them would receive a beat down from me when I caught them that would be considered... inappropriate by most department standards. So that's why I'm a truck driver and not a cop. LOL.
  7. As a truck driver, I can personally attest to the fact that the white Tahoes in Iowa are most definitely still part of the DOT LOL. Are you just looking for the skins to fit the 2008 Tahoe that's already here on the site? That shouldn't be too hard. Or are you looking for an entirely new model?
  8. Are you specifically looking for the 2015 model, or just a Tahoe in general? We've already got one that's pretty nice, although it's a 2008 model. That 2015 sure is sharp looking though. I'd definitely use it if someone made it, but I have no modeling skills myself.
  9. I've added it to the list for the next update. It doesn't have a template but the default skin already has the right color scheme so all I'll have to do is just put my text and stuff on it, so that'll be easy. It may be a bit before I do another update, I'll be looking for a couple more vehicles to add as well.
  10. I realized that you were being sarcastic a couple minutes after I posted. Shut up, it's late! LOL!
  11. Yeah, most police SUVs in the USA have at least grill lights and the lights that are inside the top of the rear window. Kinda like every police car available here on the site ROTFL. Hell, I've seen some police cars that need a separate battery just to run the lighting system!
  12. The grass isn't green enough in your pictures. And the sky is too blue. And my upstairs neighbors are too loud. And my pickup truck makes a funny noise when I start it. Fix it. FIX IT NOW!! NOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW! Just kidding Nice work, can't wait to get it into the game!
  13. I don't think those are SUVs, they look like Toyota Tundra pickups with camper shells. A pretty unique choice for a police vehicle. Didn't know the LAPD was moving on up LOL. They're sharp looking though. I don't think a Tundra model even exists for GTA V, so it would be quite a project to create the model from scratch. If I had modeling skills, I'd take a crack at it, but I don't know the first thing about it LOL. Hopefully someone will give it a shot. Would look great in the game.
  14. I absolutely cannot wait for this version to come out! Been wanting that type of lightbar for ages! The only thing missing now is that it needs some grill lights and some lights in the rear window. After that, it'll be pure awesomeness :)
  15. The original designer of the FPIU, Desmond98, is already working on a version with this type of lightbar. He just posted a video today of him testing it. It's on Page 24, 6th post down. Be patient, it's coming... and believe me, I can't wait either :)
  16. Alrighty guys, I'm working on the first CVPI version of the textures, I hope to have it up later today. Attached is the template I'm using for now, which may work with several different CVPI models, I'm not sure. I don't know which template BxBugs' CVPI uses, because right now the archive was messed up or something and won't open when I download it from the site. Botched upload maybe. But hopefully the skins using this template will work on a few CVPI models.
  17. Yeah, I personally use the Enhanced Native Trainer, and it doesn't have this option. But I don't want to remove ALL of the cars, just the ones nearby LOL. The biggest issue happens when working the motor vehicle accidents and things like that. It's hard to interview people at the scene and such when cars keep crashing through.
  18. I'm not sure where the original entry is, but anytime I add an entry to the mpluxe2 file, it seems to override everything else, so I think that's the "latest" carvariations file. I just added a POLICEOLD2 entry in there and it seems to work fine.
  19. Oops, I totally didn't see where I was browsing the IV forum instead of the V. Sorry about that!
  20. Alrighty, that sounds good. I didn't even think to ask, but this model is for GTA V, right? I don't really play GTA IV anymore...
  21. Mainly I just want to avoid slicktops, so your advice is perfect, thank you :-)
  22. Yep, that's exactly it. I added that flag because I wanted to make sure that when the cars spawn randomly in the game, that they include all of the lightbars and push bars and such. Is there a different flag to do that?
  23. Back in the old days, when we only had GTA IV and we had to chase suspects uphill both ways in the snow, there was an option in one of the trainers to remove all of the nearby vehicles. It was really handy for clearing a massive traffic jam and keeping cars from crashing into your scenes while you were trying to investigate and/or clean up. Does anyone know if there's an option for this for GTA V and LSPDFR, or even if it's possible? The Traffic Control mod doesn't seem to really work half the time, I still get civilians crashing their way through my scenes, and it really breaks the fun of the game when I have to just give up and teleport away from the whole mess. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!
  24. I'd love to see the model released. Although I do like the modern Explorer, I'd love to have this older model in the game as well!
  25. The Explorer model you linked is identical to the one I used, it just has a different lightbar. I personally actually use the same one you linked, I like the lightbar better :-) I'll add your CVPI request to my vote list, and I'll do one once I kinda figure out which is most popular!
