hi I'm glad you got your game working. ELS 8 does work so you shouldn't have a problem. If you use it rmemeber to install ELS capable vehicles. Just remember always make a copy of your GTA IV folder before you make changes in case you screw up. I have five back up copies lol. That allows you the chance to add mods and see which ones will work. On the C++ I would keep them all. Is best to not mess with those if ya don't know what they are for..which I don't hahah. OK guys I have couple issues but this one is weird. I call someone after arrest to come transport and my voice says I need a car removed. So I am sitting there and some cop drags me out of my car and takes off with it. Says he going to impound :/ he is in a green blip on the map. At same time a transport comes and gets the inmate too lol. Any ideas?

Great idea. That would be bad ass to have a trunk full of stuff and its own action menu. I am going to look up that link above when I get home though!

Isn't there a mod you can install already? I saw one that basically gives you the chance to take suspect and put him in a holding cell. It doesn't work perfectly with lcdpfr but it might be worth looking at

hey guys i noticed i became a detective today so that is kinda sweet. so i figured i'd say thanks to everyone for letting me join up here. i really love the community and the forum itself. i truly believe LCPDFR is the greatest game i've ever played and i'm tickled pink to be here i am also learning some new things while i've been here too so i'm excited that i can actually help some of the very new guys when the techy guys aren't around. also if i give some bad advice please message me and correct me. the advice i can give is very limited so i think i'm good as far as i know lol. i am trying to sprout out to new parts of the forum, but i don't wanna post in spots i don't feel comfortable..basically that means some parts of this forum i have no idea whats goin on also its killing me not being able to talk to people so i will be trying to get teamspeak set up this week. thanks again everybody..oh and thanks to ma only friend jmbourg. he has been helping me quietly here and there. and on a random note, i think i live very close to idad99. he talks about the dayton airshow alot and i live like down the road from there. maybe we can play multi sometime. woohoo!!

hello. thanks for posting. one of the game techs will be around shortly to help you. in the meantime, make sure you are using a legal copy of GTA IV with updated patch (v1.07) before you install the mod. Make sure you are using LCPDFR 1.0d, which contains the hotfix and is the latest version. to be honest, i wouldn't add any new cars or change the mod until you fix your current problems. good luck and i hope we can get you up and running soon. don't get discouraged..all of us have this problem at the beginning

i also am glad to see everyone starting to take preventative measures. what is very scary is to see the scope of range these crazy bastards have. i cant for the life of me see how anyone could let religion rule their lives to the point they want to kill someone over their beliefs. the good countries of the world need to get together and start taking these threats WAY more seriously.

you can play the GTA IV game just by starting it. the actual LCPDFR mod won't factor in until you press Alt P (this works to go on duty as well as go off duty and return to normal game) so if you just wanna play the GTA IV game you put the disc in and start like you normally would and forget about the police mod even being there. at ANY time you are ready to become a cop, press Alt P and report to a station for duty. Remember if this helps your problem please mark best answer so they can close this thread :D

this has happened to me a dozen times. all i have to do is eject the disc and re insert it. it takes a minute but its always recognized after that. however, i wanted to direct you to the original link i had used the first time i had issues. good luck :) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

To start the mod you press Alt P once the game loads and then go to a police station to start duty :)

Remember with the new update backup can be called using the qam. Hold capslock and hit the tab button to take you through the menus. Also make sure you are letting dispatch know when someone escapes by vehicle by pushing down and X.

Hmm this is something I haven't heard yet. I am using firefox and opening with winrar. Make sure before you have open the zip file that you have extracted it to desktop or another folder.

I dont know if this in the right spot but ill try to help. The best thing to do is re download or repair your current downloaded GTA IV game. Have you checked the downloads to see if someone has uploaded it to our site?
